Came here on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised! The place was clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating--which is always a plus when you're trying to escape the office for a bit. The staff was friendly and they've got a little bit of everything on the menu--Italian eats, Latin dishes, pizza slices with personality. I grabbed a ziti slice with chicken cutlet and a chicken Caesar slice. Both were solid, but that chicken Caesar slice definitely stole the show. I'll definitely be back--eyeing that taco slice and buffalo chicken next time. Prices were fair, parking was easy, and the portions hit just right. Once you order delivery, your phone number, address, and form of payment is saved for easier access and continuity of customer service. The staff members who answer the phone, are friendly and cater to me every time! Pizza - They serve both small and large pies. I have never been inside this pizza place. We order here from the office often. The food is always good. Delivery fast (beware they don't always read the directions in the delivery section- not bad in my opinion if this is the negative in the review.) Salads are fresh and generous portions. Clean, comfortable, friendly. The owner is often there and he's always super welcoming. Giving this 5 stars based on that and the PAN MARGHERITA. This pie is focaccia like. Crunchy on the bottom and top, nicely seasoned. The slice is thick, but fluffy, not dense. It has fresh mooze (that's mozzarella) and basil and some other herbs. One slice is more than satisfying for $5.00. A really nice bite. With a drink, you're still well under $10 bucks . You can't get lunch at Mickey D's for that anymore! The other thing I like is that they ask you to sit, bring you your slice. Put you on the honor system for payment AND, your slice is brought to you on a dinner plate. No greasy paper plate here! I've been a long time patron of Pizza Cucina and I hate to say it, but in think I'm done. Something has changed and the pizza has become awful. I have no idea what's changed, the ingredients, the way it's prepared, I don't know, but it's terrible. The crust is hard and flavorless with as much flavor as cardboard. The rest is entirely too doughy. On top of that, when ordering by the slice, it's not even hot. No matter how long the slice is in the oven, at best it comes out warm. As a kid, the original Ernesto's was my family's go-to pizza restaurant. I grew up enjoying a slice and a grape soda at the shop with my dad. I was happy to see that the business flourished and they were able to expand to turn Ernesto's into a more formal dining restaurant and relocate the slice bar to Pizza Cucina. Sadly, I think the main Ernesto's restaurant has since closed, but Pizza Cucina is still thriving. They make great pizza! Whether it's slices or pies, the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. They have nailed the quintessential New York style with a slightly thin, charred crust. A few years back, I also discovered that they make incredible garlic knots. Often times, garlic knots are too dry and doughy in the middle. Pizza Cucina's are deliciously moist with olive oil all the way through. They are loaded with garlic and seasoning. A must try! Even though it's a small restaurant, they have their own parking lot with just a few spaces. In the summer, they have great outdoor seating. The guys who work the counter are delightful and I hope to continue to support this business for years to come! read more

White Plains has a few Pizza option places and plenty Italian cuisine places too, Ernesto's being one of them, but if you are looking for a family style, excellent service, who serve pizza among other options look no further. The staff here provides excellent customer service, Gio did a fantastic job with my drink, despite me being a lil picky with the flavor I was craving. They are COVID friendly and its a great place for a quick bite on the bar, a night out with the family and kids, or a date night for a newly couple to get to know each other. Great location was very surprised why the place was empty during rush hour until I went I inside and a worker approached me about the parking situation. The lot was awkward and unless you are a regular you won't know which is the entrance and which is the exit, also there are no signs. The older gentleman explained that next time just come in through the entrance that way anyone exiting won't have a hard time exiting the parking lot( for reference there was one other customer) I took upon myself to move the vehicle immediately to be respectful then proceeded to order my food. The garlic knots were nicely portioned but two of them were slightly burnt and the marinara sauce was slightly watered down. The drink selection was very good but the set up was slightly weird because when you order the food there is a small selection of drinks and you don't notice the rest of the drinks that is behind the counter to the right of the cashier until you sit a table which are the less expensive drinks. As I was consuming my food the same individual who had approached earlier about the parking was now smoking a cigar outside but right next to the window which brought it in the smell. Thankfully he was almost done at this point. Staff seemed slightly annoyed and stressed, that could explain the multiple jobs posted on the door. I am a pizza aficionado and I must say this was one of the best New York style pizza places I've ever had. Went in with a group of friends and we got adventurous and ordered the formaggi white pizza, the chicken marsala, bruschetta, and more. After calling twice to place order, confirm order and request landmarks near establishment, I told them to cancel the order. Employee was rude, sarcastic and lacked any resemblance of bare minimum customer service.
