Still the #1 Pasta place in the village of Scarsdale. I tried their tortelloni (tortellini but bigger) special which was amazing. 10/10 Their calamari is also very good. 8/10. The service is exceptional. They make you feel welcome. The ambiance is elegant. They have free wifi.

A great dinner spot with a romantic and formal ambiance. The food was delicious. The service was great and everyone was so attentive. Tried the eggplant soufflé, the grilled octopus, the butternut squash salad (special), and the lamb. The eggplant soufflé was so soft and airy. Had the flavors of a hearty lasagna but it felt so much lighter. The octopus was perfectly cooked. It was tender and it paired well with the sauces it came with. The squash salad was a warm salad. The taste was somewhat as expected, but still a solid dish. Not sure if it was worth the price of a special. The lamb was fantastic. It was cooked well and the sauce provided a great depth of flavor. I really like the use of the mint in the sauce. It was a wonderful dining experience. I would've given 5 stars but for a bite in the salad that had a really dried piece of basil (?) that I couldn't chew. I thought it was plastic at first. Still, highly recommend! I will likely be back to try some of the other dishes!

This restaurant came highly recommended from someone who I trust. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed with my first visit here two weeks ago. The ambiance is wonderful. The waiter seamed friendly and nice, but he never returned to ask if everything was okay, nor if we needed anything. The eggplant appetizer is odd but intriguing. The fried calamari appetizer is the best I've had - light, tasty, tender, & crispy. The pasta with shredded lamb was the worst pasta dish I've ever had. Lamb was salty and lackluster, wide flat curly edged pasta was boring. It's something how a server can unfortunately make such an impact on a dining experience. Had he asked how everything was and had I had the opportunity to tell him how displeased I was with the Lamb Pasta dish, the entire experience could have turned out completely different. Due to my nephew (the one who loves this place and has frequented this place, I'll definitely give it a second chance the next time I'm back in town.

We had the best meal at Cafe Alaia. The food, ambiance and service were terrific. Everything was tasty and fresh. Our server Ignatzio (hope I spelled it correctly) was friendly and accommodating. I wish I lived closer, I would go often.

What a lovely place! Service was wonderful and food was delicious. The homemade pasta was so well done. I started with a salad of warm beets, melty goat cheese and roasted almonds- it was so yummy. My husband had a pasta with lamb ragu for his appetizer (although that would've been a meal for me!). For entrees I had the spaghetti with seafood and he got more lamb. Everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. We'll be back!

Glad I made the trip when I was staying in town. Seat at the bar on a Monday night. Food lived up to the solid reviews they have received. Will definitely go back when I am in town since the rest of the menu looked amazing.

Met my son and his gf here for dinner. Super Chic chill vibe here like NYC. They bring out the best tomato jam and bread ti table it's so dam good Started with zucchini flowers stuffed with crab meat. Nice concept but was kinda cold and not crispy. We ordered Mushroom crostini for table and it was amazing nice crusty bread with sautéed mushrooms. Also ordered eggplant soufflé topped with burrata . It was really original and very good . I ordered pappardelle lamb ragu and shaved pecorino. It was truly amazing. Creamy and pasta was homemade and cooked to perfection. Wife ordered the homemade ravioli stuffed with pumpkin and squash with a butter sauce. She loves it something different My son ordered the sea bass special. He said it good flavor but fish was a bit dry Place is a bit noisy and crowded but def a good vibe and food is amazing Parking on the street. Can be tough. Def will be returning

My wife and I had the pleasure of having dinner here this past Thursday. Cafe Alaia is arguably one of the best restaurants in all of Westchester. I had their seafood pasta and a delicious bottle of the servers recommended wine and I was in total bliss. The service, decor and sumptuous cuisine is an outstanding experience that everyone should experience. This is the type of establishment that you can close your eyes and choose any meal on the menu that your fingers land on. I also loved how the chef went around every table and greeted the guests. It doesn't get any better than this . I'll be back here real soon

Happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to try Café Alaia for the first time. We were hungry, and ordered the homemade Pappardelle with the lamb Ragu and the pasta with clam sauce. The bread that they put on the table was so crunchy and delicious, with a wonderful tomato based tapenade. Loved that! My pasta with the lamb Ragu was rich and delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked Al dente and was covered in a tangy lamb flavored sauce. Very filling. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the spaghetti with clam sauce. The sauce the pasta was in was garlicky delicious and almost drinkable! We used the crusty bread to soak it up. The plating was very well done. Our waitress was very friendly and nice and Overall, it was a wonderful experience

It's no secret Alaia has been making some waves on Garth Rd in Scarsdale for a few years now. And on a relaxing, post-New Year's day, decided to bring home a few bites. Café Alaia hits a rustic-industrial look with two socially-distanced dining areas with the bar dividing them. Menu is straightforward and settled on Fried Calamari and 'Crispy Artichoke' Salad (as menu states). Owner? was pleasant and mentioned the 10 minute wait. Cool. After $38, all I wanted to do at home was pause for a moment and dive into my heaping plate of Fried Calamari and Crispy Artichoke salad. Let me expand: First- Alaia's $18 batch, is nothing else but rings. The things is....I like heads on my calamari. Although tasty, I will also mention the crisp, flaky breading, provided a nice complement to the Calamari and made for a wonderful and pleasing crunch. And second, $16 'Crispy Artichokes' in my salad were the marinated type ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I expected a higher-end calamari and salad dish because of Alaia's exclusive location and hefty price tag. Instead, all I got were just fried calamari rings I could've easily gotten from around the way or a chain spot. Who knows... maybe other items are prepped better than this.

I opted for water as my grandson did and his fiancé order a glass of white wine. It was Sauvignon Blanc, and she found very satisfying. For an appetizer, we shared a truffle pizza. It was a different flavor that I never had before, but very tasty. For entrees they ordered a sliced steak and chicken parm. I went for the seared duck with mushroom gravy. I never had duck served this way. I really really enjoyed it. No one wanted a dessert so my grandson ordered espresso and I ordered a cappuccino. The waitress brought us thin slices of powdered sugar biscotti as a compliment. The ambience is quiet and cozy and dimly lit with an electric light on each table. On the menu it mentions like this restaurant is a sister location of Cafe Alia, also in Scarsdale. This was an excellent choice for Thursday night. You won't be disappointed.Sal E. New Rochelle

The service is always stellar with a good wine menu. The ambiance is peaceful and cozy always with the Garth Road locals who are such wonderful people. But I actually came here twice this week because of their personal pizzas. The manager told me to try it and I fell in love with it, in addition to their mouth watering paella. I even stopped by there yesterday just to have a couple of glasses of wine. Knowing myself, I'll be back there this weekend or next week.

We even ran into an old friend who lives nearby, and she confirmed what the vibe already suggested, this is very much a go-to spot for locals. Parking is manageable. There's metered street parking, and if that's tight, there's a paid lot around the corner with plenty of space, which makes things easier. Service was solid. Our waitress had clearly been there a while and carried that local familiarity, comfortable, knowledgeable, and attentive without overdoing it. To drink, I ordered The Perfect Gentleman, and it lived up to the name. You immediately pick up the chamomile aroma, which gives it a really smooth, refined feel. A well-crafted cocktail. We started with the Crema Di Burrata and Arancini alla Piemontese, both were excellent. The burrata was fresh and creamy with just the right balance of seasoning, and the truffle and mushroom risotto balls delivered great flavor and texture. For dinner, we shared the Goat Cheese Pizza. While the combination of walnuts, balsamic red onions, baby arugula, and truffle honey sounded great on paper, it came out a bit on the drier side and felt like it was missing that extra punch to bring it all together. We wrapped up with Hazelnut Chocolate bonbons, which were a nice, sweet finish to the meal. We went in not overly hungry, but between the apps, pizza, and dessert, it ended up being more than enough. Overall, it's easy to see why this place has a strong local following. Definitely a spot I'd recommend, especially if you're in or around Eastchester.
