I was in awe the moment I walked in here. Absolutely adorable aesthetic both outside and inside the restaurant. Their platter is a must if you're splitting with someone else. All of my favorite things: kielbasa, pierogis and haluski. I wish I lived in Pittsburgh to come here once a month but we will definitely be back once we return to the city.

So good - kielbasa, cucumber salad, spatzel, cabbage. I love good Polish food and was excited to try this location. The Haluska platter is super good too. The decor took me back to my grammas house growing up. She had the same table with similar chairs and water glasses with orange trees on them. You get water self serve and variety of glasses to choose. The seating is cozy and it's a great place to try different options. They had many platter options and a few gluten free choices. The food was delicious and I truly pictured my gramma cooking and making all these foods we loved growing up.

Look, I'm warning you now. They're busy. They're small. You will wait for a table. You will wait for your food. And you should NOT complain about it. This was a perfect meal - lattice cut kielbasa with perfectly smooth horseradish and mustard seed. Haluski with spaetzle noodles. Pillowly soft, yet gently fried pierogi. Tender and flavorful golobki (pigs in the blanket. And lemon poppy seed Bundt cake (special dessert). And more... Worth every minute in their quaint little restaurant.

Delicious!!!! It was very casual, and staff was very friendly. Also the best pierogies I've had in my life

I stopped in for lunch on a weekday and found it popping! I had hoped to dine in and place Hub's order to go while I ate, but alas the tables were limited. The wait would have been 20 minutes for a table so I placed it to go, which ended up seeming faster as I got my food before the couple who was in front of me (who chose to dine in). I got the special that day which included pork loin (nicely cooked) and haluski (good mix of cabbage and onion with lots of flavor). Hubs enjoyed his kielbasa. The beet salad was fine but not let's order again. Overall, fun vibes in a small space. Friendly staff and solid food.

This place deserves 6 stars! We walked into the restaurant on a whim one Saturday afternoon and tried their sample platter and pierogis. Wow! Everything is mouthwateringly delicious and really fairly priced. My wife and I plus our toddler left stuffed all for under $50! We even tried a fantastic grape drink. I can't recall the name. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant is adorable inside with all kinds of kitschy decor. Very open and sunny. Can't wait to go back!

Wow wow wow is the first thing that comes to mind! This place is adorable from the street and that theme flows right on inside as well. We were promptly greeted and all questions answered. After having eaten Polish food at various points through my entire life, I can say with great certainty that this was the best I ever had! The on-special soup was so good I immediately said I needed some to go. The food was so good, I immediately told multiple people they had to go. Best of all, the owner and staff were incredibly kind! Can't wait to go back!

Polska Laska is soo unreal. I went for the second time earlier this week and it was excellent. The kielbasa and spetzle were so delicious. The spetzle was really buttery and the cabbage was really flavorful. The kielbasa was cooked perfectly! The decor is elite polish grandma vibes. Such a good spot.

Polska Laska is absolutely fantastic! Everything tasted incredibly fresh and homemade. The pierogi dough was perfectly soft and chewy, beautifully braided at the ends. They offer rotating weekly specials, and during our visit we tried the vegan Cowboy pierogi which was out of this world. It was filled with vegan cream cheese, peppers, and potato, and packed with flavor. I think the best option is to get the sample platter because you get to try a little bit of everything. The homemade golobski (stuffed cabbage rolls) were so good too. I could have had two whole ones myself. The service was quick and seamless. You order at the counter and they bring the dishes to your table. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it's charming, cozy, and full of vibrant character. I can't wait to come back for more!

    Their pierogies are SO good!

Small & quaint, Polska Laska is tucked away in the middle of Sharpsburg. When I arrived to the restaurant, there was a line out the door even though the restaurant just opened. All the seats were taken, too. The line went quickly and we found a seat right away. The place is small and cute and has the cutest mismatched decor. Most of us tried either the pierogies or the platter that they had, and everything tasted delicious. It's comfort food at its finest! I love that they have a Pierogi special, which makes me want to come in for my favorites but also try something new. You cannot go wrong with anything at Polska Laska. I will be back again and again!

Such a fun little space! Beautifully curated plating and lots of pierogi flavors to choose from! Fast service as well

This place is seriously so cute and I love the pierogies here! The aesthetic is grandma cutesy and I love it. Love that they have vegan options since I don't eat cheese. The vegan golobki was good and all my friends loved their food! Great spot for lunch! Love that you can grab a coffee from Redhawk and come here for a bite. The owners and staff were nice and I like the system where you order at the counter and they'll bring your food out. It's so cozy and homey in here. They also do specials like soup and dessert too! Will have to definitely come back!

    Kelsey R.

One of my favorite restaurants in PGH - it's that good! You can tell love goes into the dishes. The old school feel transports you back to your grandma's kitchen. It's small so you will likely have to wait for a table or sit outside. These are the best pierogies you'll find in the city; I enjoy pierogies plus and these beat them by a mile! The haluski is TO DIE FOR. Keep an eye out for their special pierogies! I've had nashville hot chicken, butternut sage squash, and pot roast. The chicken ones were the best! You also can't go wrong with their classic ruskie pierogie with cheese and bacon.

If you are looking for incredible, authentic pierogies around Pittsburgh, Cop Out Pierogies in Etna is a must-visit. The first thing you notice is the outstanding quality and freshness of the dough, which is always perfectly tender and never too heavy. What really makes them stand out is their massive variety of fillings, ranging from the traditional potato and cheese to wilder options like buffalo chicken or even dessert flavors. The portions are generous and you can tell everything is made from scratch with a lot of care. It's easily one of the best spots in the city to satisfy a serious pierogi craving.

Let me describe Cop Out like this…read more.. Think of any Friday during lent. Walking hand in hand with your grandma. Uphill, usually in the rain or, more likely, snow flurries. Think of walking into the basement of her old, very old, church. Looking around at all the old white haired ladies, (old is relative now...) as they smile and have a word or two or ten for everyone who walks into the door. Think of the smell of frying onions. Frying in lots and lots of butter. Grandma taking you by the hand, telling shy you to say hi to her friend Dorothy or Deloris or Irene. (No Taylors or Brianna's here, thank you very much). Grandma let's go of your hand while she digs into her little change purse for her rolled up bills and some loose change on the bottom. She smiles at you as she hands you an extra quarter - you smile back because you know that means cake at the little table in the back of the room. Grandma takes two plates, each holding a handful of lightly pan fried, doughy (but not too doughy) pierogis. Covered in fried onions and dripping with butter. A dollop of sour cream on the side. Today it's potato and sauerkraut. Last week was potato and cheese. I can't wait to see if next week is farmers cheese. If you can close your eyes and remember that walk. If you can still see Gladys. If you can still taste the buttery onions. If you can still feel the love that you and your grandma shared. If you can do all of this, then I can guarantee you will love Cop Out. For those of you who have never experienced pierogis purchased in a church basement during lent; I still guarantee you'll like Cop Out. I live 800 miles away. I can't think of a single church that serves pierogis, especially homemade ones. We are in the Deep South, afterall. I do take my grandkids to fish fries during lent. I hope I'm making similar memories for them, though even the best piece of fish fry fish is no match for the pierogis that both the church ladies and Cop Out dish out.

MY FAVORITE PIEROGIS IN PITTSBURGH…read more Ever since I had this spot for the first time over three years ago when I lived in Coraopolis I haven't had a desire to go anywhere else for pierogis When I moved out here 2 years ago and found out there was one 10min up the road from me in the Wexford Plaza I nearly shedded a tear. This is actually my first time trying everything else as well The pierogis. Elite. Not pan fried or dropped in a frier. A good pierogis doesn't need that and you can't change my mind. Not thick in the dough or BATHED IN BUTTER. Fucking hate when places drowned them in butter We got, spinach and ricotta, buffalo chicken and potato and cheese. spinach and ricotta will always be my favorite pierogi BUT depending on my mood and of these 3 can be best to me The Halupki was fine. Won't recommend it. Filling was bland as fuck but the cabbage and sauce were great. Just give me that without the filling Haluski. Phenomenal. I've grown up with Haluski always being with bow tie noodles. Cam and I fight about this now an she can't change my mind so NONE of you can. But curious nonetheless to what you're used to The sauerkraut. Been awhile since I've one that kicked my dick in like this. Fermented long so niceee and vinegary AND has some of the tomato sauce in it. Elite THE KIELBASA OUT OF LEFT FIELD WHAT IN THE FUCK. This is undoubtedly the best I've ever had. Even if you don't like pierogis go for this alone. The smoke in each bite was something you get from a true BBQ spot I only have three other spots that interest me that I know will be contenders for my current favorite. For apps we tried the langos ($10) and potato pancake ($12.95). You really can't go wrong with fried dishes here... each dish was so crispy with the toasty aroma that deep fried foods have. Even though they were topped with only 1 ring of red onion, it was the perfect amount to add a zesty kick without overpowering the dish. We got the chicken paprikas ($16.95), stewed beef ($18.95), and puszta steak ($18.95) for entrees. This is when I realized that our dishes were super similar. The chicken paprikas and stewed beef had a similar texture and flavor profile, and were both served with dumplings. The puszta steak was covered with the potato pancake and fried, so it had a very similar vibe to the apps we had earlier. No complaints about the dishes, though-- I'd recommend the chicken paprikas or stewed beef if you enjoy tomatoey, bell pepper-forward flavors. The dumplings were tender and absorbed a lot of the stewy sauce. If you enjoy fried foods, or want to try the potato pancake and an entree but are limited on stomach space/budget, the puszta steak is a perfect choice that will give the same crispy vibe as the potato pancake with an added protein bonus.

The owner and her husband are the only ones that run the restaurant, and they rub a tight ship! My husband & I enjoyed our meals, and here is what we had: Creamed Onion Soup: The soup's name perfectly describes what this soup tastes like. It is creamy and very onion forward. It was delicious but on the lukewarm side when eating it. Chicken Paprikash with Dumplings: This is a popular Hungarian dish, and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, the dumplings soft, and the sauce perfectly flavorful! Creamed Beef with Dumplings: My husband had this dish and he really enjoyed it. It reminded me of a more flavorful pot roast with cut up smaller pieces. Strudel: I decided to take home a piece of Strudel foe dessert. The dough was very soft, and it was surprisingly tasty! Huszar is like a warm hug on a cold day. It's comfort food at its finest, and I'll be back to try some more cuisine!
