This is a review solely for the Plantation office. When making my appointment, I was on hold for 40 minutes before someone answered. She then told me the only way she could make an appointment for me is if I take a picture of the doctors order and then a picture of my health insurance card and send it to her. What?! I asked her about some of the elderly people who don't have cell phones (or know how to send pictures if they do have one) does that mean they can't make appointments, and she didn't have an answer. When I got to their office the receptionist got me checked in. She wasn't overly friendly nor was she rude, she was basically just doing her job. I only waited in the waiting room before being called back to another waiting area where I waited for another five minutes. The technician came out to get me and she was as sweet as could be, I'm very sorry I didn't get her name. The whole procedure was over in less than 10 minutes, and I was sent on my way. As I said, though, the technician was just wonderful, she made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I don't know that I'd come back to this location unless I needed a test right away and couldn't get it at the location that's only five minutes from my house. I brought in a script from my doctor directing POM to ultrasound my thyroid and lymph nodes, but the results returned included only my thyroid. My doctor told me she wasn't surprised and that, in her experience, "POM sometimes just does whatever they want," seemingly ignoring scripts. I'll go elsewhere from now on. read more

Don't waste your time or money. I had an MRI at POM in Plantation. The staff is friendly, but that's their only good point. When I finished the MRI, I asked for a disk to take to my doctor. After waiting a half hour, the clerk told me they were unable to make a copy of my MRI. I had to cancel my doctor's appointment. Four days later, POM sent me a link for the MRI photos. My doctor told me he was UNABLE TO USE MY MRI because the QUALITY WAS SO LOW, THEY WERE USELESS. If you want it done right, don't go to POM. I have to redo the MRI at a reputable clinic that actually has good equipment and staff. read more

absolutely the worst company to make an appointment with .5 days of requests being returned for an appointment .Fax number not answered . when you finally after being Caller # @5 in line .the person cannot be understood as the line is breaking up ..hang up and start all over again .After they finally received my e mail request for an appointment .They offered me 3 appts on Wed29 ,Thurs 30 Fri 31 May 2024 .now none of those appts available .we move to next week . I brought my daughter for an MRI of her brain with and without contrast February 2023, before my appointment I confirmed with the facility that they took my insurance and was advised that I only have a $50.00 co-copy. I paid the $50.00 copay upon rendering services. Fast-forward a few months later, I received a bill for almost $1600. I called my insurance, who reached out to the facility and turns out that the facility submitted the incorrect codes. I continue to receive bills but now for $215.00 and continue to call the facility, however, getting a hold of somebody who is nearly impossible, nobody ever calls me back. My insurance company had the same problem when they tried to follow up. I've emailed them multiple times with an attached copy explanation of benefits, reflecting that I'm covered at 100% with only a co-pay, but nobody calls me back or returns my email. Today I stopped in at the market facility and was told that I want to speak with somebody who is a 45-min drive for me. I asked for a phone number for a David who I was told I needed to speak with, but was told that he has bo phone number or email, which I find hard to believe. My daughter recently turned 18, and they have now transferred the bill from my name to hers and said this is our final notice, or she will be placed in collections. So, because the MRI facility refuses to resend the bill with the correct codes we have to be punished with a new bill of $215 stating it must be paid or put in collections. MRI report identified both the wrong bone (which was fractured) and the wrong diagnostic code, which begs the questions: Is the MRI report even valid? Is the radiologist even properly certified? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Have sent many messages, called, and even went into the office in person (with all details) for an accurate review of my MRI & updated accurate report. Zero response[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I suppose this is because I self-payed and they feel zero accountability. This is not a professional nor a reliable company! Apparently, their MRI machines are not in working order. (This is the second time I am using this company, so I remember this happening the last time as well.) I had an appointment for the POM Margate location on Tuesday, and they called to tell me their MRI machine was not in working order, so they rescheduled me for Thursday (today.) The problem is that they called me earlier today, (on the day of my appointment) and said that the MRI machine is still not working. It would have been nice to have received a call the day before my appointment to not only confirm my appointment, but to let me know whether their equipment was still down, but that did not happen. This company does not seem to be very professional. Extremely disappointed! I would not use them again. read more

You must pay at the time of your MRI. If you use a debit or credit card, there is a 3% fee. POM charged me more than $100 more than my copayment. It's been 8 months and though I've called and left messages several times and sent several letters, I haven't received a response or my refund. Except for POM, all doctors and medical facilities I've been to wait for the EOB to be generated by the insurance co (BCBS in my case) before billing the patient. read more

Horrible scheduling procedure. After being on hold for a long time, I was told that someone will call me to schedule the appointment. I asked why not schedule the appointment now but she did not answer my question. They called me but I only got a missed call with a voicemail to call back the main number again. This review is strictly concerning the billing department. I was told the day before my appointment that I would have to pay my portion of the bill not covered by insurance. This was not an issue with me. The only issue I had was, it was either $160.00 cash or credit card with a 5% service fee added. I paid my portion in cash. Later I found out my insurance covered the entire appointment and I have been trying for 3 months to get a reimbursement of my paid portion with no luck. They called me one time and left a message to call them back and I have left at least 10 messages to return the call and sent 3 emails and I still have not received a call or my refund. There is no manager to speak to when calling the operator, so you are left with no way of even speaking with anyone who could assist. It's very sad because the imaging staff were just terrific. But I will not return there after this situation. read more

I had to go to the ER after my ct scan at this location. They blew out my vein with the contrast and my arms had a sweeling the size of a golf ball at the location they inserted the IV. As soon as things went bad they quickly took off the iv and showed me the door. I called back on my way to the ER to know exactly what the contrast was made of and how much they put in my arms, the lady who answered had no clue and started stuttering. I went in for a CT scan of my heart. They told me it would take a few days to get the written report I had it done on a Monday and went back on a Friday and still the report was not ready this is unexcusable. Most people that go in for imaging are concerned and worried about their condition. When I went back on Friday they said it might be ready by Saturday but if I didn't hear from them don't bother to come back in. This will be the last time I use them and we'll go elsewhere. read more

This place is horrible! Do not waste your time and money! 1. Technician is so unprofessional that cannot even perform contrast MRI. No hygiene. Her hair was all over my arm trying to find my veins. After big bruises she still couldn't do it. 2. You can only contact with one phone number to communicate. As soon as you call, you are in queue 20. You need to wait on the line at least 20 mins to take to someone or make an appointment. 3. The machine i hard was from 2008, sooo old. I am not even sure if it works properly. This company is starting to resemble scammers. My wife visited this place back in Jan 2023 and their machine broke and wouldn't work. She tried to reschedule but it didn't work out before we found out we are pregnant. Since then, they've had our $175 of our money and we cannot get them to give it back!! We have called every few weeks and they just keep giving us the run around. No one knows anything. The billing department never calls back and now their voicemail says it is full. I went to the margate location today, and the office was randomly closed with no messaging as to why. Now we are being told that we have to take a day off to drive all the way across the county to Plantation to get my money back because they refuse to answer or return phone calls!? Location is terrible : the plaza is run down and dirty, front desk rude and dismissive . I'm here for a CT scan . I haven't gone in yet and I want to run away . Let's see what happens inside, I haven't been to the other locations, I wasn't informed that there was a closer one to my address so that's upsetting . So I sat there for 50 minutes without anyone acknowledging me, when I approached the front desk to let them know that I was leaving and I was going to call to reschedule to the office closer to my house THEN and only THEN they were willing to let me in immediately because apparently the test that I need only takes 5 minutes. I came to pick up my disc and there was a sign that said fifteen dollars for the disc.Considering what they charge you,I would think that the disc would be part of the job.I spoke to the office manager because I wanted to bring it to all my doctors.She said that was against hip a regulation.So I said that was fine if she would send a copy to my other doctors which she never did.Also in all my life I have never seen a office that offers a discount for cash. I wish I could give them negative stars. Terrible front desk office at the Planation location...rude, incompetent, and and extremely unprofessional. After driving 30 minutes to get there, I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled MRIs and the receptionist waved her finger in my face saying I wasn't not on their schedule and wouldn't be getting a MRI today. Then the manager came and said the same thing even though I have several text confirmations from their company. They told me those confirmation texts don't mean anything. We drove back home without getting anything done. Then the manager called me back saying they can do the MRI. If they can't handle a simple scheduling and reading patient's note on the computer, why should I trust them with the needle for contrast or any testing? They should never speak to any patients they way they spoke to me. I do NOT recommend this company for any imaging. read more

I was amazed by POM... the professionalism of the scheduler, timing for the appointment, waiting time .... until they advised that they will charge a FEE for the debit/credit card machine !!! This is not correct and it is a business to make additional charges over the patient's cost and deductible! As much as I am satisfied with service I am very upset for a silly $0.77 cents charge, so I will be scheduling future exams with a different MRI provider. read more

Called on Monday to get an appointment. I loved that they had Saturday appointments available. I followed directions, or so I thought, and had 40oz of water prior. Well, I started the water at 9:42 for my 10am appt. I checked in at 9:50, and the lady was friendly and paperwork was minimal. I was called back a couple minutes after 10, and asked to wait in another waiting area for my tech. Minutes later Scott came up to me and asked me if my bladder was full. I told him not really, and he said I should have drank the water an hour prior. Oops. He told me to wait until it was really full, like bursting, and if needed, find him. 25 mins later he checked in on me and I said I wasn't feeling it, but I'm a teacher and I have a unique talent...he still tried and showed me the result. At this time he asked me to drink more. I'm sitting here now on my fourth 16oz cup of water after 40 oz on the way an hour ago and thinking it might be a long time but at least I'm comfortable! Not very impressed with POM. Their phone tree is horrendous and you have to be out on hold for over 20 minutes before reaching a live person. This is not a sustainable business model. Patients want answers about their imaging tests and they want to speak to a live person. I'll make sure to tell my doctor to never send patients here again. There are so many imaging options more patient centric and more customer service driven. read more
