Food is always amazing and so is the service! I must get the queso! And tacos every time. I love going after a long day on the lake!

Tex Mex and barbecue are not usually something that you would put together but here they do it right. They offer a variety of your typical Mexican dishes, like tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chips and salsa. As well as a variety of your typical barbecue dishes, like ribs, barbecued meats, beans, and coleslaw. The service here was really good. Our waitress made sure we had plenty of chips, salsa, and our drinks were never empty. They have a large dining area and a bar area depending on how many are in your group. It's a great place for families and meeting friends after a day on the lake. They have a case of different ice cream available if you have room after your delicious meal. There were 10 different varieties of flavors that can be made into shakes, Sundaes , cups or cones. read more

This is one of our all time favorites at Pomme de Terre Lake. We eat here often and it never disappoints. Went today at an off hour (Monday 3:00) and still everything was on point from the service (think it was the owner serving us) to the food quality. They went the extra mile to make sure we were happy customers. Thats why we are regulars. read more

Our waitress was Savannah and she was amazing server. We had to wait a while for food, but other than that it was a good experience

We went again for dinner as the options are limited in this area. I was pleasantly surprised. The bartender was amazing! She took our order and got our drinks ASAP. I don't know her name but I do know that she's local and she runs rings around all the others that were standing around gossiping. Way to go Dan!!! You got a keeper this time. There are many things you expect when you come to the Pomme de Terre Lake region on the state, this gem of a restaurant is not one of them. It is fantastic. Good food in a place with even nicer people. The idea of BBQ and Mexican on the same menu is a bit odd but those thoughts quickly vanish once taking a bite. Food quality and flavor are tremendous. The ribs and brisket sandwich are on par with any better known KC BBQ joint. Everything is always relevant, but this restaurant would thrive based on the quality of food and the people providing the service in any size community. read more

Food was incredible but Tammy was so rude almost yelling while I was just asking what is in the enchilada and she was yelling PORK BEEF CHICKEN and I said but what's inside besides that and she kept cutting me if saying PORK BEEF CHICKEN and was just so rude! The ambiance looked amazing. read more

The owner of the place is terrible. Rude to customers as well as employees. Sometimes the food is alright but more than half of the times I've eaten here it was terrible. Overcooked or undercooked, flavorless, sometimes a total mess of a restaurant. The environment and setting isn't terrible, always hot and sweaty in the place but nice decorations I guess. Just ate here for the first time, good prices, large portions, friendly staff, upbeat environment, I had the brisket sandwich and it was great, my wife had the burnt ends she loved them my grandson had the kids chicken tacos and he really liked them that says a lot as he is a very picky eater everyone in our party was impressed. read more

Super fun place!!!!! Great tacos!!! Our server was amazing. Laid back and full of knowledge about the bar. The owner is apparently a liquor connoisseur. Many great choices of quality TOP shelf bourbon, tequila, and other flavors. The tacos were great and our server was quick to find the least pricey way of getting what I wanted. She kept the drinks full and was on top of whatever we needed. She truly loved her job. After our meal we chatted at the bar. Tacos can be soft shell or crunchy, but either is with a corn tortilla. Nothing on their menu says flour tortilla, and that's what they serve. It's a sacrilege. The food is on the pricy side, but it's good and plentiful. Three "tacos" were too much to eat. The kiddy plate had excellent chicken tenders and fries. The meat was cooked well. I would eat there again, but have something else. Flour tortillas suck. read more

Both of our experiences at Pomme de Rita's this week were wonderful! The first time was for supper, and we managed to get there for $3 margaritas!! The drinks were great as were our meals, not to mention the amazing chips and salsa. The hand cut skinny fries were the best! For lunch, I had the crispy fish tacos which were so good with the cilantro lime slaw on them. I didn't want rice, so I was served a double order of hickory beans. Normally I wouldn't eat but a few bites. These were so tasty and spicy that I finished both little bowls. The barbecued food we ate was equally good. We had brisket and ribeye sandwiches for dinner, and my husband had pulled pork for lunch. The smoker is going right out back. The outside is nothing special, but inside is cute, we'll-maintained, and CLEAN!! We had wonderful waitresses both times we ate there. If you're ever near Pomme de Terre Lake, you need to stop at Pomme de Rita's!! read more
