What an amazing Italian restaurant! Pomodoro Trattoria is one of those gem of a restaurants. Myself and my party came here when they first opened due to us passing the restaurant one day and being intoxicated with the smells as we passed. We just knew we had to come back and try the restaurant. We were promptly sat by the friendly staff and were given our menus for viewing. There are a number of choices for whatever mood you're in and everything sounded delicious. I opted for the lemon chicken with vegetables and a side of pasta. It was delicious and feeling. I will definitely be back to try more!

Super affordable, high quality pasta. Super friendly staff. Felt like walking into a random family owned pasta spot in Italy. Brings in a younger crowd because of its price but I assure you it's still worth a visit.

Five starts for the bruschetta and penne all arrabbiata. These two dishes alone carried the meal. I would even dare to say that this was the best arrabbiata and bruschetta I've ever had. We came in on a Friday night at 5:30 and were seated right away (a rarity in the area). It didn't get super busy but looked like there was a steady flow of people coming in but the longest anyone had to wait was probably around 10-20 minutes. I personally prefer my pasta a little more al dente than it was served but the sauce was so good, the texture was easy to overlook. You could also tell that the gnocchi was very fresh, I felt like the gnocchi capri was missing something to really put it over the edge but it was still quite tasty. The thing I was the most disappointed about was the tiramisu... I was so hyped up by the quality of the meal that I was really expecting an amazing tiramisu. It was just okay. The crunchy bits were a nice touch but I can't say that it was the most memorable. Service is fantastic. Servers are very attentive and quick to notice when you're done with plates for a smooth transition to the next dish. Will definitely be back for the arrabbiata.

My coworker recommended this place as a great date night spot. I couldn't agree more! The food is great, ambience is great, and the menu has tons of options. My friend and I came on a weeknight and shared the Italian salad with salami, chicken alla diavola, and gnocchi caprino. The food was great, and the bread they gave us was very fresh tasting. A great neighborhood gem.

Amazing, authentic pasta!! Their pasta is very well made and you can tell it's high-quality, making it taste absolutely delicious. Came here for the first time on a Monday night and it was packed and I can see why! The space is small, but cozy. We ordered the Pizza Bianca, Farfalle Con Pollo pasta, and Linguine Al Pesto. The pizza was good, but the STAR of the show was the Pesto Pasta! The sauce melts in your mouth and the noodles are perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. I genuinely think it was the best Pesto I've ever had. The Farfalle Con Pollo pasta was delicious as well, the sauce had a great flavor. Servers were kind and helpful and ambiance was nice. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the service was a bit slow, we waited a very long time for our food and especially our check, but everyone was very friendly and they were busy. So glad I tried this spot and I will 100% be back!!

Parking: only metered street parking or neighborhood parking. Ambiance: Quaint little Italian spot, the dining room is quite small. They have some tables outside on the side walk as well. Service is phenomenal, super friendly and attentive. They also offer good bread for service. Food: everything we ate was delicious, we also only waited about 15 minutes for everything. The calamari is a bit rubbery and the sauce isn't very flavorful. Otherwise, the mushroom gnocchi and pizza Bianca are amazing. We love this spot!

First time trying this restaurant and honestly, my friend and I were just saying that we have not had the most authentic pasta until HERE. The restaurant is located on the corner and it's best to find street parking. The street parking around are residential areas, so I would say it wasn't too hard for us to find parking? It's a quiet neighborhood, so it wasn't busy at all. Walking in the restaurant, it's a small quaint little pasta shop. The decor is very traditional (not modern) so it gives off just very "classic" feeling. There wasn't that much people dining for lunch, so there were many tables open. I was worried there would be wait, but we were seated immediately. Service was also very quick and efficient too. We were first offered bread and first off, the bread was nice and soft! Great appetizer to start off with. Then we got to order the Farfalle Con Pollo and the Gnocchi Caprino. It didn't take too long for us to get our dishes either. They came about the same time. I tried the Gnocchi Caprino first and I really liked how soft the pasta was and it was quite flavorful! The pasta sauce was a great amount as well. I do recall having Gnocchi the first time in San Diego, which I remembered it to be chewier. So I wish this one was more chewy, but it was rather just soft. Next trying the Farfalle Con Pollo, I think I actually enjoyed this one more between the two. The flavors here tasted a bit more complex. The pasta itself was nicely cooked, and the flavors all together were pretty nice. I really enjoyed it with the sundried tomatoes, it gave us a nice sweet punch to it. This was really good! Overall, I enjoyed how casual this place was and the prices were pretty reasonable for the pasta dishes. Services and food were great, this was a very nice experience! I did notice they charge 3% for credit card, so I just used cash.

Pomodoro Italian Restaurant in Westwood continues to be one of my favorite go-to spots! Dined in on 12/4/25. The bread is truly the star of the show--warm, fresh, and dangerously addictive. I honestly look forward to it every visit. The pasta is consistently delicious, cooked perfectly with rich, flavorful sauces every time. On top of the fantastic food, the service is always phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and welcoming without being overbearing. It's the kind of place that makes you want to keep coming back again and again. Relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend!

    Great pasta, epic sauce.

Great service. Nice quiet lunch place. Food is outstanding. Street meter parking is available.

A quaint unassuming authentic Italian trattoria in Westwood. Everything is freshly made daily. The gnocchi was the best I've had in many years. Soft yet bitey, creamy and hoodlike in texture. I chose the arrabbiata marinara which suited the dish well. I can't wait to try it with their homemade pesto. Modestly priced, friendly service, a true gem of a find. I started with a lightly dressed chopped salad and lentil soup. Both were simple yet perfectly delicious. My girlfriend loved her Vodka & Capers with Farfalle . Finely graded cheese made everything so creamy and just right. I highly recommend this fine place. I'm headed back with my sons this week already.

Great Italian food in Westwood! Came with a friend on a Tuesday evening around 7. They were a little crowded which makes sense because the place isn't too big, but we didn't have to wait too long, maybe 20 minutes. Service was friendly and prompt once we were seated, ambiance inside the restaurant is nice, it feels homey and comfy. I got the gnocchi alla fiorentina and my friend got the risotto al funghi. Both dishes came out piping hot and tasted great. I believe the gnocchi is made fresh in house and it had a great texture and paired well with the creamy sauce and spinach. My friend's risotto was also amazing, the savory mushrooms were great and complimented well by the cheese and broth the risotto was cooked in. The majority of the main dishes here are under $30 and all the glasses of wine were around $10 which is great pricing for an Italian restaurant in LA Great place to get Italian food in Westwood, fairly affordable, good quality food and nice service. Would recommend, would return

Caprino Pizza and Pollo alla Parmigiana
    Katie L.

The bruschetta was fantastic! The bread had a nice crunch and the tomatoes were sweet and fresh. The pizza caprino was pretty good and the sun dried tomatoes were strong. Loved the sweet balsamic glaze. The thin crust was a little floppy with no structure making it a bit awkward to eat. The chicken in the pollo alla parmigiana was moist, but more pasta and veggies would be appreciated. We went on a Saturday around 6:30pm and had to wait 30mins to be seated. The place is quite popular and had a homey vibe. The tables felt a little too close together. However, the service was great and they're very efficient here.

It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. I opted for the Idyllwild cocktail and loved it! It had the most complementary flavors and was so refreshing with the bourbon, yuzu, chartreuse, honey, and lemon flavors. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area. It also wasn't super packed in the venue so we could've opted for other seating--lounge areas, a few tables, or just at the bar.
