This spot is the most adorable food hall I've ever seen. The interior was super cute + I loved the vibes. When I found out that the sundae was dairy-free, I was a bit skeptical. I'm very happy to report that I was WRONG!! If you didn't tell me anything, I would think that it was made with dairy. Texture-wise, the soft serve is extremely light. The sticky rice had a weird texture, but the mango chunks were delicious. The entire middle was filled with passionfruit syrup, which was yummy, BUT it can get too sweet very fast. The brownie on the chocolate sundae was GOOD. The cookie was a bit tough to bite though. Depending on the time you arrive, parking can be a bit difficult. A really unique multi vendor dining hall that is especially a great call for a quick and casual lunch. There is a parking lot attached on the side of the restaurant that offer offers validated parking. They don't have false waiter service instead you order at the kiosk in front, grab a number, and then they bring it to your table. As mentioned, there are many different vendors under one kitchen, so you can really have a mixing match of many different types of cuisine. They have indoor and outdoor seating and inside a surprisingly large larger than it looks from the outside. For this visit, I chose from the Mediterranean option and got the steak plate. It was honestly a great call for lunch and the portion size was just enough to fill you without overfilling you. Loved trying this new place in Brentwood! I had no idea what to expect when walking in. I stood in a line, thankfully was not long enough that I was outside so was able to stay cool on this hot day. I had no idea that you order from a kiosk. I quickly pulled up the menus online - yes plural! Many different restaurants in this 1 spot. There were newbies outside which I now know you grab to decide while you're in line what you want. I decided to get the chicken teriyaki bowl. They do make sure to stop you from ordering at the kiosk until there's an available table to sit at. This is why the line can get long. So once ordered we were shown to a table and we placed our number so the servers know where to deliver your food. The wait wasn't long at all. You are provided cups and water when you sit. I enjoyed the bowl i got. However, I paid extra for spicy and the "spicy" sauce I got wasn't spicy at all, and I paid extra for that. The other negative I'd say is the plastic they use. Food Halls/Ghost kitchen dining halls have been popping up throughout LA the past few years. I feel majority of them end up being a cool idea but end up failing due to lack of quality control or something is just missing. Neighborly seems to fill those missing gaps. The food quality is just a good as the service and decor. Its a good place for a casual lunch of dinner with a small group of friends or solo dining. Prices were not cheap but reasonable for the area and quality. There were about 5 different ghost kitchens with options varying from soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, Mediterranean, and Italian. The fried chicken sliders and tomato soup hit the right spot after a long day of running around the city. A must try are the soft serve options to end with a sweet treat. I have been a big fan of the original Westlake location, so I was thrilled to come visit the Brentwood location! The food was just as good, and the marketplace is way bigger and I was so impressed! The staff was still just as friendly as the ones at the Westlake location, and the area is so cute. There is plenty of seating inside and outside of the location, and there's even free parking in the parking lot adjacent to the restaurant (with 90 minutes of free validation!!). I hope this is a go to place for folks looking for healthy options and for groups of people who want to eat together, but want to experience different foods!! My favorite place to order is from What's Gaby Cooking -- but I know that if my friends are looking for other options, they could get a kabob from Mini Kabob or a pizza!! I've now been back to Neighborly two more times since my original review. One more for dine in on a busier Saturday afternoon and once for take out. Food remains insanely delicious. I'm so happy to have it in the neighborhood! One note is that I wish there was less plastic especially for dine-in. Love the water on the table but can we please have reusable glassware? The amount of waste a restaurant creates especially with this sort of turnover is huge. I know it creates more dishes but I feel guilty drinking water from plastic that is single use. So happy to have Mini Kabob on my side of town! The Neighborly just opened this weekend and not only is it a great Westside location in Brentwood, but they even have free 90 minute validated parking at the bank next door! Ordering online was easy, and for a space sharing several food options with different vendors, it feels like an upscale boutique shop which just happens to serve a few well curated menus for people who want more than the usual fast casual offerings. I ordered all my favorites from the original Glendale location, chicken, steak, falafel, extra garlic toum. I got a few items like the ancient grains and Chipotle toum that I loved as well. As always, every protein was tender and succulent, all the herbs were varied and fresh, the hummus was as smooth as silk, and the falafel may be the best in the county. Service was friendly and efficient, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by everyone and all were very helpful in explaining the options and getting me my online order. Went to the new Neighborly location in Brentwood for lunch today. I had a chicken sandwich. You order on a computer screen. There are many options to add or subtract things so you can order exactly what you want. The sandwich was very good as well as being very well behaved. Unlike the chicken sandwiches in some places, the chicken stayed between the two pieces of the bun and didn't try to slip out. It also didn't drip all over like some chicken sandwiches do. Plenty of napkins came with the sandwich, so if it did drip there wouldn't be any problems. There are a vast number of things to choose from as well as a number of things you can take home with you. Think elevated but casual food hall and mini market, with 4 different restaurants inside the same space to choose from. The fare is pretty diverse, ranging from pizza, pasta, sandwiches, kabobs, and even soft serve and wine. My favorite item was Thomas' Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which came with three sliders featuring a crispy, perfectly fried chicken cutlet, light crispy lettuce, delicately fluffy sesame encrusted bread, and the most delicious honey Dijon sauce. I also love how they have self-seated indoor and outdoor options after ordering via a kiosk, but still intimate, very friendly service that brought out water, plates, and your order to you. Came for dinner one night this week. It's like a ghost kitchen but upscale. There were a number of cuisines but note that they don't have the Chinese food at this location. You line up and order at the kiosk, add a table number and they will find a table for you. The vibe feels very upscale with peach and beige coloring. Feels airy and bright. They bring the food to you on an actual plate if eating in. I got the MK Mezze Bowl with a beef and lamb kofta. It comes with a choice of hummus and or tzatziki and a bed of rice or salad. No hot sauce but you can add on for it. The food was solid or at least this dish was. The meat was a bit tough but also juicy and spiced. Rice was scrumptious and the sauces were plentiful. I really enjoyed the dish and better than I had expected. Was reasonably priced as well at ~$15 but it could get pricey. Overall good for an elevated fast casual spot and worth a try. I've had the original Mini Kabob in Glendale multiple times, so when I saw this market near me had a Mini Kabob in it, I had to try it out. This might now be my new favorite kabob plate in LA. It's a bit different from what you get at the original Mini Kabob, and the portions are a bit smaller, but its equally good if not better. Nothing felt overly greasy or heavy like a lot of other kebab places can be. The portion size is just perfect to not fill you with regret after eating. The chicken tastes how a kebab grill smells (which is about the highest compliment I can give). The yogurt was really good with a slight hint of garlic in it. The grilled pepper and the salad were a great way to get vegetables. The only negative comment I have is that the chicken could have been grilled just slightly longer, but I ordered during the lunch rush so I'm sure that had something to do with it. A second piece of bread would have been useful to have too, or just add a bit more bread. read more
