This has been our favorite pizza place for years. It's always good, fresh & full of flavor.

Ordered a crispy chicken salad and the chicken was so overcooked and hard that I couldn't eat any of it only a couple pieces were even edible. Then there was way too much onions cut way too big. I think someone purposely made it really bad I don't know how it could even be an accident. read more

Pizza was no better than a frozen pizza you could buy at Meijer's. Highly disappointed. I should have stuck with my first intention and driven on a little further to Pizza in Paris. They're the best . Oh well , live and learn. read more

After an early day of salmon fishing out of Manistee and mountain biking afterwards on the Big-M trail, I decided to have a cheat meal on my drive back to Kalamazoo. I was craving a stromboli or Calzone and Pompeii's had great reviews. Besides, I love supporting the local guys! I called in a pick up order of what I thought was a large stromboli with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and light cheese. When I went to pick it up, it turned out to be one of their Pomazones (calzones), of which this could have been my fault...either way, I like either one. Although it was cooked to my request, I was rather disappointed with the toppings inside the calzone. The chicken was rather chewy, the mushrooms were definitely from a can (normally expected) and it had maybe 8 leafs of spinach inside. Overall, the price was very fair for the size and the crust was pretty good, however the toppings were rather disappointing. If I ever pass thought, I may try a personal pizza, but I will not be getting another Pomazone / calzone. read more

Pompeiis is a gem in RC! They always have specials and their food is always delicious. Their salads are not fancy/pretentious but fresh, filling and great tasting. Their munchkin pizza will always hit the spot for me and their calzones are as big as my face!! And a great thing to top it off- they are fast! read more

I've been eating Pompeii's my whole life, it's always on point! There is nothing on the menu that disappoints. Every time I come home to visit, it's a must! I seriously dream about the #1 sub all year long, and stuff my face in all of its glory. Pizza and zesty bread are my next top 2 faves. Stromboli's are amazing too. Love Pompeii's! read more

Awesome find! Food took slightly long; yet was hot and fresh: so it didn't just sit there. Couple empty rows of cups by the pop machine, and a few other things could use updating. Flavor/texture of the crust and the freshness of everything else made this a spot I'm definitely coming back to if I'm ever in the Reed City area. read more

I was visiting Michigan from New York, so I know good pizza. Compared to pizza I've had in other states, Pompeii's was decent! I'd compare it to Digiorno's oven tasted pizza. The dough's very fluffy, not flat like pizza in NY. But because of that you feel more full while eating less! The price point was good but I suggest calling ahead of time to place your order or else you'll be waiting inside for 30 minutes as they get a lot of orders. read more

Pompeii's is just some good ol' plain jane pizza. I'm a big fan of the thinner crust they use and the toppings are always good. Be careful of the lunch buffet because it is hit or miss. Sometimes the place is crowded and you can't hardly get a piece of pizza. Other times it's empty and the pizza is a bit cold. But for the price, it's still worth it. However, if you are here for the lunch buffet, do NOT pass up on the excellent no-bake cookies. Some of the best I've ever had. read more

When traveling through Reed City, Pompeii's is a must stop! Favorite is the Ham and Cheese sub- which is a delicious combination of ham, mozzarella and lettuce oven baked on a fresh bakery bun, garlic knots and my kids love the pizza---my 11 year old ate 6 slices. We ordered a simple dinner: medium pizza, cheesy breadsticks and jalapeno poppers. Delivery took nearly two hours when we were told it would arrive within an hour (we live within the city limits). The food was cold when we received it, as well. The breadstick box was even cold to the touch. Today was National Pizza Day. How do we know? We read it on their social media post. I don't get home often but when I do their lunch buffet is a must. It has great variety, is well stocked, and is priced fairly.

Came here the Friday after Thanksgiving around 1 pm. We all had the buffet. They are constantly changing the variety's of pizza up at the buffet. I had the ham and mushroom and the cheeseburger pizza which was AMAZING!! Also had chili, stuffed peppers, garlic knots, cheeses garlic bread, meatballs, scalloped potatoes, small salad bar and half a cookie for dessert! We stopped in on New Year's Day for a late dinner after a day of skiing. We were greeted warmly by the staff, who patiently answered all of our questions and put up with our indecisive 4 preteen/teen kids. We ordered garlic knots, bacon cheeseburger pizza, BLT pizza, a cheeseburger, and fries. Everything was delicious. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Sierra took great care of us and was so helpful and friendly. If you're looking for great pizza in a friendly atmosphere, this is a perfect choice. read more

My friends and I used to hang out here while we were in high school (graduated RCHS in 92) and my best friend worked here during the same time. I have some great memories of hanging out here. The pizza was and is good but I absolutely love the Stromboli. The employees and owners (especially Dan) were awesome. Excellent pizza. It's a bunch of high school kids working there and they're all really friendly. They have a buffet during the week for $5 (I think). They also have these good no bake cookies that I would always get. Peanut butter is my favorite! read more

It's nothing amazing. Pizza is very decent as far as pizza goes. The buffet usually offers a decent variety and you can request them to make something specific which is nice. Salad bar is ok. They also have chicken nuggets, fries, bread stick bites, "rib" meat etc but these seem to be frozen and not really all that great. All that being said I almost always go here when I'm in town and plan to go back the next time. Price is good, atmosphere is very good. read more

Went there for dinner last night. The food was delicious!! Garlic cheese bread was possibly the best I've ever had. Barbecue Chicken pizza that my companions ordered was also great. I got a "pompazone" that was perfect. So much cheese. Even the ranch dressing to dip it in was awesome we wanted to take a gallon of it home with us. Horrible-when we decide to order there, their is always something wrong, today we order 6 thing, 5 were wrong. They never really do anything about it, ask if we want it re cooked but after so many times of something being wrong they need to fix there problems, many it be the cook reading wrong or orders being wrote wrong, half the time we don't get asked a name and yah we can say one but there supposed to as. past 4 times of choosing my local reed city Pompeii's I have had complications with simple orders. the time i dined in it was dirty, tables were full of crumbs trash can was over flowing, and the girl was just standing at the counter......there was only two customers in the building she could have been wiping something down, another complication i had was brown slimy lettuce on my sandwich when i had said something they claimed it was always like that. not the pompeiis i remember......no i dont ever recall brown slimy lettuce on a sub......because if so i would never order it again. my most recent issue, i had ordered a it took like 40-45 minutes, my salad was all wrong, when we had called to explain to them that the salad was wrong the girl answering the phone said "what do you want me to do about it???" with an attitude. personally id like the salad that i paid for the way i wanted it.... its not like i am asking you to cut off your own limb....just wanted my salad that is it. i called to talk to an "assistant manager" this person apparently isn't allowed to take complaints and all this person could do was chuckle after everything i said like i am some sort of comedian...so recently after these 4 times of error, poor customer service, and the one time cleanliness issue. i have decided if i want pizza i will go to pizza hut and if i want a sub i will go to sub way. read more
