Great experience with POND'S Heating & Cooling. 6-yr old A/C quit on Friday afternoon. Left a message after hours on Friday and told them Monday would be OK (it was cool over the weekend). Received a return call first thing Monday morning advising the technician (Cody) would be there in a 1/2 hour. Cody was right on schedule. Very professional, personable and customer-centric. His experience and knowledge allowed him to locate the problem almost immediately. He explained everything. Diagnosis: a bad fan motor. Unfortunately, it was not a common/universal part, so he called his office and succeeded in getting them to send one from Orlando, TODAY. Additionally, he negotiated with Carrier to supply it under warranty saving this homeowner an estimated $600+. Long story short: this HVAC company works efficiently and expertly. I had a new HV/AC unit installed by Ponds last April (2019). They did a very quick, efficient, timely install. We left to go back up North shortly after the install and didn't get back until after Christmas so I was a little worried leaving a new unit unattended that long. But the unit has been running smoothly since the install. After we returned, we made an appointment for a maintenance visit with Ponds. The technician showed up right on time. He brought a new filter to install, which was an unexpected bonus. He was very friendly and explained all the maintenance procedures to me as he was working. He even gave me some good tips on how to protect and extend the life of the new unit. I am in the process of using his advice. Thank goodness for reliable and professional companies like Ponds, they are extremely hard to find. I needed a professional to replace my Evaporator Core in a package unit that was still under the Goodman Warranty and I had lost confidence in my original A/C contractor, so I contacted other companies through a listing agent and their prices were a little high in my opinion so I asked some friends and they recommended Ponds and I'm extremely happy that I contacted them, from the office to the Techs they have been very professional and saved me some hard earned money. Today, Jamie came by for our six month check up. About five years ago Ponds Heating and Cooling of Ocala, FL changed our entire HVAC including a new hot water heater. To say the least that service was tremendous and we are very happy with the new units. Jamie did our service today for Ponds and he did a great job. I just bought a new home and needed to have my cooling checked, the first crew did a superficial check and found it low on gas then I had to have a second tech to come out and fix it. To be fair, the first techs were running late for the appointment due to a previous appointment taking a lot longer than they thought that it should. The second deck was VERY knowledgable, he diagnosed the problem, told me a lot about about my system, and left me feeling that I didn't waste my money like some people do. A/C failed during the night. I phoned first thing in the morning and was told someone would be out that day. What a great surprise, I thought I would have to wait several days. Ted arrived early afternoon, diagnosed the problem and was able to get the part needed. He was very professional and courteous. We moved to Florida 12 years ago and after having a bad experience with a different company decided to call Pond's. We have been with them ever since. We have always had great service and when we did have an air conditioning problem, they came right out and got us going again. We are on the maintenance plan ( which is very reasonably priced) and every six months they are here to check and clean out the system and keep everything in tip top condition. I work night shift and was woke up after only 3 hours of sleep because the air conditioning was not workin. My husband worked on it for a couple of hours was unable to fix it. 3:45pm I call Ponds heating and air told them the problem they said let me write a repair ticket to see if I can get them out today. This is a no brainer. Not only did Pond's install our Mitsubishi mini-split, they've serviced it. Our service technician, Ted, was prompt, professional, courteous and friendly and arrived wearing a "Safe" mask [Wuhan virus prevention measure]. Further, he called ahead to let us know he'd be a tad early for the appointed time! The technician Raymond just left my house. Among other things, he took extra time and effort to dismantle the top of my outside unit, spray wash inside, and vacuum out every single dead storm leaf that had built up like layer of mulch.
