Had our AC upgraded from 4 ton to 5 ton, total replacement of the whole system and also added a larger return and add a 2nd vent in the master bedroom. NO STARS DO NOT CALL THEM!!! they improperly installed 2 mini splits in my cottage, wired wrong and installed improperly. We had problems with them from day 1 and they blamed us for not cleaning them properly.. They leaked causing damage the last time I let them work on it. I sent a nice email to Johns AC explaining they were installed improperly inc pictures from Ocala Plumbing and AC who was able to identity what was wrong and fix it repairs close to 4k, Johns AC no longer willing to take my calls or even make any restitution for damages. John's A/C installed a new HVAC at my home in 2018 and I have a service contract with them for two services for $150.00 per year. They came out yesterday for my first service in 2024 and spent at least an hour checking it out. There was a wire that was bad in the condenser, so they replaced it, the capacitor was bad, so they replaced it with one that I had previously purchased, and they replaced the insulation covering the pipe that carries the Freon to the furnace, all at no extra charge. I've recommended them before and I will gladly recommend them again. This is a great company that will bend over backwards to make sure their customers are happy. read more

i am giving this company Zero stars! Thry installed a faulty part, yes i have since had it tested, that was 8 years old causing my A/C unit to break then pressuring me in to purchasing a new unit. i will be taking this business to small claims court. Buyer beware. i have now spoke to a legitimate Hvac company who will be assisting me with the knowledge to follow through on this company's deceptive business practices. After realizing the part was a faulty part, i contacted them and they apologized they "meant" to install a brand new part when it was available. According to the Hvac company I am speaking with these parts are readily available, in fact they were kind enough to give me a new capacitor proving they are readily available. read more

SCAM! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Charged $95 dollars to incorrectly diagnose an issue with my AC. I was told I had an AC leak at the evaporator coil and would be $1200 to fix under warranty (my house was built 2 years ago). They would not let me know how long the part would take to come in until I signed the estimate (which they originally said it could be 2 days to 2 weeks). The estimator was very unprofessional and barely spoke. I had a different company come to confirm the problem. The other guy located the part in Ocala before he even came out to my house. After inspection the other guy said there was no leak at the coil and fixed the entire issue for $250. I called Johns AC to let them know the misdiagnosed my issue and I wanted a refund. Instead they ran to bank that day and cashed the check. It's truly sad they you can't trust a company to be honest. I simply wanted my AC fixed and not be exploited. Had them install a mini split that I purchased, gave me an estimate of $1100 for two guys all day. I mounted the unit and ran the lines . All they had to do is test for leaks and vac the unit out. Johns sent one guy out for three hours tops, he checked for leaks and vac the unit out. They still charged me for two guys all day no price break for me running the lines. John said thanks for saving us the time. The unit ran three times then blew warm air. I had them come back . They said the coil was leaking and needed a new one ,they left and tried to charge me an additional $75 service call. I had another company come out because Mitsubishi said they had never had a coil leak in there Head unit. The other company found a leak at the head line fittings that John's A/C said they checked. They fixed the leak and it's been running great. They changed me $300 to fix it . I called John's a/c to tell them what was found he said he was busy and would get back to me that's been over a week now. Long story Johns a/c dose not stand behind his labor or workmanship, he overcharged me for a poor job and should at least reimburse me for the second company's and my time and labor. read more
