Thai food always hits the spot. Everything here was a 10/10. We started with the crunchy crab roll,…read morethe fried dumplings, and the crab Rangoons. My partner doesn't even like sushi and even he said "this is the best sushi I have tried" & yes it was that good! The eel sauce is a must!! The fried dumplings were very different from any other fried dumpling I have ever tried, but in a good way. The crab Rangoons were different too the inside was yellowish, which I'm used to seeing a white cheese interior, the filling melted perfectly in your mouth as you take a bite of the crunchy exterior. Amazing! For the main entree both dishes were stars packed with flavor and comfort; crispy chicken pad kee mao & the thao sai chicken noodle curry soup. We both had left overs as the portions here are great! The lychee fruit tea was so refreshing and delicious. The service here is pretty good and the inside is spacious with TVs, they were even playing a Harry Potter movie. Overall, I had a great experience and will certainly be back.

We also had some sushi rolls and fried tofu and they were also good. The menu has a lot of choices of Thai fusion food, so there's something g for everyone. The place is big enough for families with a nice ambience. The wait staff was also very kind and friendly and attentive. I'd definitely come here again when I'm in the area.

I usually stay away from pho at Thai spots, but my husband ordered it and it was actually really good, with a flavorful broth that surprised us both. My favorite dish of the night was the Panang Curry. I haven't had Thai curry in years because it's been so disappointing in middle TN, but I decided to give this one a shot and I'm so glad I did. It tasted fresh, the sweet coconut milk came through without being heavy, and the chicken was incredibly tender. They don't skimp on meat or portions here - we left full and happy. We'll definitely be back. Sorry I don't have photos. As soon as I saw the food, I could tell it was authentic and got too excited!

I don't want dumbed down ethnic food, I want it to be authentic. I got summer rolls & a small veggie Tom Kha Gai soup. I got everything to go. I went to my iron infusion at Vanderbilt Hendersonville then waited until I was hooked up & alone to eat. When I saw my food I was kinda shocked. $20 for about six bites of summer rolls & five to six tablespoon fulls of soup was disappointing. These rolls are the smallest I've ever seen. There was so much rice paper & so little filling! The soup was not a favorite either as it was extremely sweet. Tom Kha can be sweet, but this was like sugary milk water. There were hardly any veggies in the tiny styrofoam cup as well. All in all, the best part of this experience was the lady who took my order. Everything else could have been avoided & will in the future.

If you walk into a restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place is fully packed and there…read moreare people waiting behind you to be sat, you KNOW you made the right decision to go there. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and waited roughly 5 minutes for a table to open up. A family of five came in right after us and decided to sit at the bar to eat. I knew in my heart that this was the best place to go to for my husband's birthday dinner. We sat on some barstools while we waited, discussing the hockey game playing on the tv behind the bar. I loved the low ambient lighting that spread across the ceiling. Our waitress was nice but she never gave us her name so I unfortunately can't shout her out. She gave us recommendations so I ended up taking one of hers. Now, if you have read my Thai restaurant reviews, you know by now that I judge a Thai restaurant by ordering their Pad Thai the first visit, however, I broke that rule because I just KNEW this place was going to be good. We ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad Kee Mao with chicken, I ordered the Khao Soi Gai (it comes with chicken, no substitutions), and one Thai iced tea. You guys. When the Tom Kha soup touched my lips, I was SO excited to get the main course! It was made PERFECTLY. I haven't had true Tom Kha since probably when I lived in California over a decade ago. The Thai tea was strong and delicious, exactly how it should be made. The Khao Soi Gai...that first sip of the curry broth nearly made me go Meg Ryan-mode in the restaurant. If you know, you know. "I'll have what she's having!" Our waitress recommended this dish and I'm so glad I was adventurous and tried something different outside of my "I'll judge you based off of your Pad Thai" attitude. It was perfect and when I say perfect, I didn't even add lime juice to it because I didn't want to mess anything up with the flavor profile. Sure, lime could have added another element to the dish but when I say it was perfect the way it was, it's true. The night at Smiley would have ended perfectly if it weren't for the miserable couple who sat beside us discussing how unhappy they were in their marriage and decided to accept the waitstaff into their broken marriage by being completely rude. But the staff remained professional and kind through it all and I give them HUGE props for that because I was a moment away from telling that wretched couple off. In short, the staff here are wonderful, and the food is memorable, delectable, delicious, perfect...it's HEAVEN. We will DEFINITELY be back to try other menu items!
