Shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce
    Lydia V.

Delicious! This place hit the spot and was so fresh and delicious. The restaurant is clean and has an open kitchen which is cool to see. The restaurant has two shifts-- they close at 2:30-ish and reopen at dinner time. The service was friendly and professional. The wait staff sit you at a table and then take your order. There were 3 of us, and we arrived 40 minutes before closing for the afternoon. We ordered the massaman curry, drunken noodles, and the garlic shrimp. Except for the noodles, the entrees came with a side of steamed white rice. We also ordered spring rolls with shrimp and the fried eggplant appetizer. Overall good was super fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend this place and next time I am in town, I will pop in to try other dishes! Enjoy.

Pad Kra Pow Ground Pork (Hot heat level)

My wife & I were craving Thai food and saw this spot on Yelp. Only 5 minutes from our place so we slid through. Being a Bay Area Cali boy you know I'm all about the flavors and this place had me shook . Food was straight fire and flavors were on point. Started with the Tom Yum Soup with pork. It was flavorful, and that tangy kick wakes your taste buds up. I knew we were about to get our grub on lol. The Pad Kra Pow with ground pork and your choice of heat levels which I went for the hot. Come on now if you're eating Thai food you gotta have some heat. Had a few bites and moments later that heat sneaks up on you. You know the kind where your head starts forming little sweat beads. My wife even took a pic of me looking like I just ran a mile outside in the humidity here in TN lol. Drunken Noodles were smackin! One of those plates where you say you'll save some for later but somehow it magically disappears cause it was that good. The Yellow Curry was creamy and loaded with flavor. My wife loved it and basically claimed it as hers lol. The Chili fried Shrimp was crispy and still hot after sitting for 10 to 15 minutes. No joke I was impressed. Fried Dumplings were tasty little bites that hit the spot. It was a good starter. Prices are solid and affordable. I could have ordered everything lol. The food was excellent. The service & staff were very friendly. Place is clean & plenty of tables to sit. I didn't think TN had legit Thai food and I had my doubts but after eating here those doubts are gone. We're already plotting our next visit to try more of the menu. Can't wait to come back

I got the Pork Pad See Ew and it was legit! The noodles were cooked perfectly, and it had the right blend of sweet soy sauce. It paired well with their delicious Thai tea. One of the best lunches I've had in a while since decent Thai food is very hard to find in middle TN... Only thing that made me sad is that they didn't have Thai bird chili in fish sauce (prik nam pla). They do have chili powder, chili oil, pickled japaleno and sambal though. The place was spacious, clean and the service was friendly and efficient. I loved being able to hear them cook, that wok was nonstop! Can't wait to come back for more!

Egg rolls, crab delights, and shrimp pad Thai

I visited Thai Orchid with a group of friends. We were seated right away upon arrival. None of us had been there before, but our waitress happily gave us some suggestions from the menu. We started with crab delight and egg roll appetizers. The egg rolls were more like spring rolls, but still very tasty. The crab delights (crab Rangoons) were also good. For our meals, our party tried the shrimp spring rolls, chicken teriyaki, chicken stir fry, and one chicken and one shrimp pad Thai. Be warned, even the mild spice is pretty spicy! But we all found our meals to be delicious and portions were just right. We enjoyed our visit to Thai Orchid and I recommend it if you are in the area.

Thai Orchid is one of the best restaurants to have opened in Hendersonville in 2024!! I am so happy to have this Thai food spot around the corner because the food is good! It's not the fanciest restaurant but no frills works when the food is tasty and service is good. I noticed when it first opened. It is located right on E Main. I heard it was a chicken spot previously. When my friend and I met for dinner on a Sunday night there was a line of people ordering or picking up to-go, which seemed like a good sign! If you haven't been open that long and are already this busy, then the food must be good. We still didn't have a hard time getting a table but it was certainly active. Our server was very personable and nice. She helped in recommendations and decisions and was very attentive but not like overbearing. The owner/chef came out later and was also friendly. He shared how they make their food fresh. When we dined in I got the Tom Kha soup (coconut milk) with tofu, pad sew eww and spring rolls. I enjoyed them all. The tom kha, which is a favorite of mine among thai cuisine, just didn't seem as authentic or what I am used to between cilantro, pepper or visible lime juice but it was still creamy & tasty. My friend had the shrimp fried rice with pineapple and she enjoyed it! When I ordered takeout recently I got fried rice with chicken and added broccoli. Again, made hot and fresh. They didn't hold the onions as requested but it wasn't so bad. I was able to get like 3 or 4 meals our of that serving. The egg rolls are only $2 for 2. I look forward to trying the Pad Thai and their curries. This is more like a 4.5 star rating. I will continue supporting Thai Orchid! It's nice to have a reliable Thai restaurant close to home; something I was very used to back in Dallas. I hope they stick around! Go check them out.

Happy to see Uncle's new place in Hendersonville just 5 mins down the road from my place of business! Came here for lunch on a Thursday at 1:30 & it was busy. However, there were plenty of places to sit & we were taken to a table quickly. Service was excellent & we had our food in no time after ordering. I went with the massaman curry w chicken & Thai tea. My wife had the pho & spring rolls. Our favorite Thai restaurant in the area is Thai phooket II in Goodlettsville & I'm glad to say this is just as good. Looking forward to grabbing lunch here often.

Holy cow... Where do I even begin. I want to preface this with the fact that this area doesn't have a good Thai restaurant. There are very few options and they aren't amazing by any means. If you want Thai that's delicious, your only choice is to go into Nashville. Every few days, I drive down Main Street to take my daughter to her dance studio. Previously, this was a local hot chicken restaurant that went out of business. I noticed the sign and wondered when it would open. As I was driving back home today, I noticed A LOT of cars in the parking lot. Convenient too because I was wondering what I was going to do for dinner since I just got back from a work trip and I had no groceries. I walked in and this place was slammed. Line out the door. I was told they opened on the 30th but their grand opening is October 10th. While waiting in line, a lady told me she's been a few times already and she's a foodie from Austin and this place ties with some of the best there. She told me that the only comparable place was VN Pho in East Nashville. I know VN Pho, that place is legit so I knew she knew what she was talking about. Excited, I got table service and ordered the Tom Kha and Red Curry. This place is CHEAP. With tax, it was $18.16 and I left completely full. The Tom Kha was THE BEST Tom Kha ever. Perfect balance of sweet coconut and tart. The ingredients were fresh and the slices of chicken were absolutely perfect. It was so good, I drank the broth directly from the bowl. No using a spoon here. The Red Curry was equally fantastic. A rich, sweet flavor, fresh veggies, tender slices of pork, with plenty of spices for that extra kick. The food was so good, I started texting everyone I knew that loved Thai food and said they needed to come here. I have a new go-to place for Thai and it's in my own backyard. I can't wait to try the other dishes.

    Pad Kra Pao
    Connie A.

Ordered takeout for lunch. Ordered a Pad Kra Pao, eggs rolls $2 for 2, and thai tea. Overall, good experience. The dish was a little bit more salty than what I'm used to but the prices were reasonable.

    I yearn for this.

Thai Orchid (Uncle's Place) in Hendersonville used to be my favorite restaurant. I went there at least once a week for their curries, which quality can't be found anywhere else nearby. Then they changed their hours, probably as a reaction to high inflation of food prices. Okay, but they appear to have made a point of being open only during hours/days when I'm not able to go. This is when they're open: Sat-dinner only Sun-lunch only Mon-lunch only Tues-dinner only Wed-lunch only Thurs-dinner only Fri-lunch only Who does that? Absolutely nobody. My daily schedule of dialysis, church, and nights I cook for my son allows me to eat out only for dinner on M-W-F and only for lunch on T-Th. Because of dialysis I NEED to not cook dinner on M-W-F, and I have restaurants I frequent on those days. For awhile I thought Thai Orchid had closed down completely because it's been closed every time I went there. I would be there EVERY SINGLE WEEK if there were even one day I could go. Hint: many other restaurants are closed entirely on Mondays. They could be closed two entire days a week and I would still be able to frequent them. I'm writing this hoping the Thai Orchid folks read their Yelp reviews and will consider making their schedule a little more consistent during the week. Please. I miss your coconut milk curries and Thai Food is scarce around here. I'd be there now if you were open.

Our servers' name is Po. She is knowledgeable and friendly. For Appetizers we had some young spicy Thai soup and wonton soup. Very delicious. The broth of the soup has the taste of homemade. We ordered basil stir fry w/duck and Ginger stir fry w/beef. Rice comes with the entree. Nice atmosphere and the rest is clean.

I usually stay away from pho at Thai spots, but my husband ordered it and it was actually really good, with a flavorful broth that surprised us both. My favorite dish of the night was the Panang Curry. I haven't had Thai curry in years because it's been so disappointing in middle TN, but I decided to give this one a shot and I'm so glad I did. It tasted fresh, the sweet coconut milk came through without being heavy, and the chicken was incredibly tender. They don't skimp on meat or portions here - we left full and happy. I don't want dumbed down ethnic food, I want it to be authentic. I got summer rolls & a small veggie Tom Kha Gai soup. I got everything to go. When I saw my food I was kinda shocked. $20 for about six bites of summer rolls & five to six tablespoon fulls of soup was disappointing. These rolls are the smallest I've ever seen. There was so much rice paper & so little filling! The soup was not a favorite either as it was extremely sweet. Tom Kha can be sweet, but this was like sugary milk water. There were hardly any veggies in the tiny styrofoam cup as well. All in all, the best part of this experience was the lady who took my order.
