If you're having a hard time with your current car and you don't have the best credit don't waste your time. This dealership is not pono.

Pono's is a crook. If you buy from them, make sure to have a mechanic check out the vehicle before purchasing!

I knew only a handful of people in town, but Brandon and Garrett set my mind at ease with their knowledge, candor and professionalism when I asked them to set me up with a good deal on a used Toyota A big purchase like a vehicle requires either a customer who really knows their stuff (not me, unfortunately) or ethical professionals to act as guides throughout the process. I was lucky to find the latter at Big Island Used Cars. Within a few days, I had found a vehicle I liked, worked out the payment process, signed transfer documents, taken out a new auto insurance policy, and driven away a happy camper. The overwhelmingly positive reviews I read on social media for Big Island Used Cars made them my first stop in my car-buying adventures. I found no need to look further.

The worst used vehicle I have ever purchased and I am so mad at myself for buying as is without…read moretest driving it even I had three keiki with me one being a newborn and I fully regret this purchase more than any other purchase I have ever made before. I got home that night and noticed the cab lights and sunroof didn't work and it was very dirty and I took it to the place they said to take it and nothing was actually fixed. In two years I have had to pay for ac after I got screwed over with the warranty but that's not this places fault but I also had to change out the alternator and the sunroof still doesn't work or cab lights and now the side sliding door is broken. Now I get it my fault for not test driving but after reading reviews I see I am not the only one that walked away with a vehicle with major issues. Check engine is on even after new battery and alternator and there's another problem with the fuel gasket but I do not even financially have the means to fix any more on the vehicle I tried to turn it in and no one even wants to touch it and I still have over 15,000 to pay on it and it's value is not even 5k..... I have replaced the side door upholstery and even my five your old daughter at the time of buying this told me mommy they gave us a dirty broken van we should take it back but sadly I told her it doesn't work like that and it was mommy fault for not test driving it. I was so excited for walking out with no money down and a van life for a mom of multiples that I didn't even shop around I was just happy to hear no down and accepted but credit acceptance does not do refinancing and they are set on interest and payments I walked away paying $522 dollars on a van that has given my family nothing but problems. On Oahu I was quoted $522 for a brand new vehicle a truck and I walked away because we were moving! I just wish I never made this purchase and that I never made it on an impulsive emotional purchase..... I see from the comments I'm not alone in walking away feeling like this and after two days of trying to fix the side door myself with help of a jack being over six months pregnant with my fourth baby I am just done and I had to update this yelp review. I learned to never ever purchase without test driving and to never make an emotional purchase after having a newborn and doing it alone. My husband was at work when I purchased this vehicle he was not able to have a decision in this. I do not lie and after being called a liar and saying I did not maintain this vehicle is a complete and utter lie! I maintain oil changes and did take it to the shop and it the problems were again not fixed it did not work and I did call and was told I have to pay the diagnostic to have it looked at again! I did come back for the detail but you did say they were closed and gave me money to go across the street if I can remember right but it's been awhile I believe I took it to the drive thru car wash. I have taken this vehicle to Lex Brodies and to two other mechanics, I don't think that's saying I don't take care of it and I did say in my review it was my fault for not test driving it. I do not believe I lied at all and I hope you keep whatever rating you keep but to call someone a liar for them explaining how they feel is quite sad! But hey I'm a believer in God as well so hopefully so God bless you and your Ohana also! I been having such a hard time with this vehicle and I have been doing everything I can and I just wanted to update my honest review. My husband was at work that day and took the truck and I was just happy to be approved like I said! And it's my regret that I should have not done such a huge decision without him and with a vehicle that I should have test drove! My review even said the warranty thing was not your fault but I do believe that the vehicle has much more issues and I am not alone in feeling like I did buy a vehicle that has really truly made two years of hardship.

She was immediately able to answer my questions regarding the dreaded stop / start issue and an oil additive the dealer recommends. That settled she wrote up in invoice to include my preference regarding the oil additive. She communicated with me through the course of the service, as a slight delay arose. When the car was finished servicing, Monique texted me. I called Joe, Servco's shuttle driver who promptly picked me for a return ride to the dealership. Upon arrival Monique went over the invoicing with me, all spot on. She retrieved my car, washed and ready to go. A 5 Star rating for Monique and Joe. Unfortunately, the promised email or phone call from the Parts dept. regarding parts for my older Toyota, never happened. Therefore, the overall 4-star rating.

I shouldn't have to call over n over just trying to get help with a poor job done at the factory. They took my money no problem. A small problem and they are giving me unaticwit service. I will never buy from these guys again. They lied and left me hanging. What a hassle, I will return this truck if I can. I can hire a lawyer. Take my bissiness elsewhere .
