Great place to have breakfast and brunch with the family. Food was outstanding in my opinion. The service was great and the atmosphere was cool it was like an old dinner feel.

Best chicken enchiladas ever! Cfs is somewhat good. Fries are bland. Amazing salsa and lights inside

Live, laugh, love! This place has such a great old-fashioned feel and a huge variety of options. I usually get the chicken fried chicken, and it tastes homemade rather than premade, which I love. The mac and cheese is my personal favorite, and even the restrooms have a cool Fallout-style theme. I come here every two or three weeks even though I live in Dallas--it's worth the hour and a half drive every time.

Great hamburger steak with grilled onion and gravy! Texas toast, green beans and tater tots. I highly recommend. We only had water. My friend enjoyed grits and scrambled eggs. The young man who was our waiter did an amazing job. Efficient and kind. This was a busy lunch time. Restrooms were clean and food came to us in a timely manner. Hot and fresh...delicious.

Such a gem in the middle of nowhere! We were roadtripping to Galveston and I used yelp to find a lunch spot. This place came up, so we gave it a try. We all had delicious root beer floats, and various sandwiches and salads. The decor was funky and fun and included a neon banana light, an old fashioned TV that still works, and a soda fountain bar with real pennies in a cool design. Check this place out!!

Good food and service was quick. Enjoyed the older diner atmosphere. I had the breakfast sandwich and would recommend.

Great food and service. However, not a fan of the gender neutral bathrooms. Makes me nervous sending/taking my daughter's to the bathroom.

The salad stuff was fresh and the dressings were all good. On the hot side of the buffet they had chicken friend steak, ham, turkey and dressings, bbq brisket and friend chicken. Everything was excellent! The sides were all great. I imagine their homemade pies are amazing but I was too full to try any of them! I will 100% be back anytime I am nearby!!!

First, the service was excellent, I believe our server was named Presley. Very kind, always checking on us and keeping our water and tea full. On the buffet, my dad enjoyed the salad he had, but was surprised at the little variety offered that day. He said last time he was there with my brother there was more to choose from. He then got the fried chicken, which was greasy and barely any chicken on the thigh. I tried to find a drumstick but it was just breasts, thighs and a few wings. He did like the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. As for the fried okra, you have to eat it fresh. It is sitting under a heat lamp just makes it soggy and slimy. I ordered 4 vegetables a la carte which came out to be as much as the all you can eat buffet. First, their onion rings are OUTSTANDING! So is their homemade ranch. What was disappointing was the green beans, they definitely came out of a can and were heated. At $3.99 I expected fresh. There may have been a small piece of onion in it. Not sure if that was how it was cooked or if it fell in from another dish. The black-eyed peas were tasty. I also had a cup of the chicken corn chowder which was good. However, there was pieces of cubed chicken in it which also made me think that it was a prepackaged soup and not homemade. My dad got the coconut cream pie, which tasted good, but could have used more coconut then just on the top. He wanted bread pudding or peach cobbler, however at the time of day we were there, they had been picked over way too much, not leaving much for anyone else to enjoy. I did like the selections in the gift shop and purchased a tea towel before we left. I always like to try a place 3 times so I may stop in and try something else. Again, great customer service.

We were quickly greeted and placed our order for burgers...there is also a subway at this location, so you can get more bang for your buck. We both ordered... Entree: #1 w/cheese Side: onion rings and season fries Drink: water & tea Burger was good and you can taste that everything was fresh. Sides were crispy and delicious. My only gripe is, I wish there were larger portions of the onion, lettuce & tomato (because I love veggies). Still I would definitely come back if I was in the area. Two of the soda spigots had broken! This highly impacted the fluid depth in the overflow drain and several ants had drowned. Seeing that much carnage nearly ruined things for me, but I'm a glass half-full kinda gal. As an ant, cleaning up sticky, gluey dead bodies is just an excuse for a party. There were enough ants still breaststroking to show our group the way to the Congo line. So don't worry if you're an ant who needs a place to cool your tootsies on your drive south on I-45. The drink trough still contains enough moist residue to attract a welcoming crowd of your peers who will lead you to the fun. The congo line snakes through the dining hall and straight up a table leg to where a couple ladies are celebrating major birthdays. If you hurry, you can still catch them. If you're lucky, you and 10 or 12 of your new friends can hitch a ride on the older one's sweatshirt hem and startle her every few miles for the rest of the trip. Crawl across the phone while she writes her review, make both of them question whether something is crawling on them, that sort of thing. In summary, I'm giving this place one star for the decomposing mass of ants stuck to the drink machine and a second star for the gummy trail that led us to the birthday ladies who took us outta there in that nice Mazda.
