Classic family-style pizza joint. Ample seating available for a large crowd. We watched them stretch the dough and top our pizza. Pizza was hot, fresh, and delicious. I'm usually a thin crust fan, but the traditional crust on this pizza was very tasty. read more

Pontillo's is a name that has been around for as long as I can remember. It has always been my go-to pizza place in Western NY. This particular one, has lots of tables and booths, but definitely could use a decor update. Good for large groups. Recently heard there were some changes in either ownership or management of this particular location. They changed the parking, where one side close to a door is now all take out parking. Other parking is in the back and other side. Handicapped is directly in the front, by another door. The pizza has changed. You won't see dough tossed any longer, but cut from a larger mound and pulled until a specific size. The sauce went from perfect to a tad bland. If you want basic pizza with a crispy bottom, this is the place. I'm hoping they'll rethink the sauce, as it's the sauce that makes a great pizza. read more

We really used to love Pontillo's pizza. Tonight we ordered a gluten free pizza. When we got the pizza home they had put chicken fingers on the pizza. We called and explained the issue. Chicken fingers have gluten and we ordered a gluten free pizza. I explained if you have ciliacs disease this would present a problem. The girl / manager on the phone replied with "we're too busy to accommodate those requests". I called back and spoke to Jeff another manager who told me that they have people that get this pizza as a healthier option and swore at me. I will no longer order from them and would highly suggest that if you have an allergy or sensitivity to a food that you be extrememly carefully ordering from Pontillo's because they don't seem to care about your safety or health. Worst pizza I've ever ordered the crust was like the frozen shell you'd get at little Caesars. Wings were ok on the small side as far as meaty. Would not order again $52 order 2x medium 1 order wings. And had to phone on order website ordering confusing and I order online all the time, so not operator error. read more

I have gone to this Pontillos for too many years to recount . The pizza & wings are always outstanding & done to perfection. The staff always greets us with a smile & the service is great. Jeff , Emily & Dad are the best they keep things moving fast. We have never been in there where the staff rushed us through ordering & eating. Very professional & thankfully they still have the warm small town feel. Have never gotten food that wasn't amazing . I'd give them 100 stars if I could. Called in an order at 6:45 pm to pick up my sub at 8 pm. Talked to a nice young man who repeated my order back to me. Picked it up, drove home, only to find the order was wrong. I called and was told I could bring it back and they would have a new order ready. I returned and THEN they started the order. The manager was there the entire time and never to spoke to me. He was able to take care of other customers and tell the young lady who made the sub that you should not try to scrape mayo off a roll. Not a word to me. No apology. The food also doesn't take long to come out at all, and even if it did there's arcade games to play in there as well!!! My favorite part was the wings with awesome sauce! I might be biased because I grew up on Pontillo's of Newark and it makes me nostalgic for leftover microwaved Pontillo's cheese pizza I would get at my grandparents as a little girl but it is my favorite pizzeria in the area hands down. The Canandaigua one is still as I remember it being as a kid while others one's I won't name (see above) were not to the quality or standards I'd like last time I visited. Never had bad pizza or wings at the Canandaigua one, though crust was a little meh on the last pizza we got. Understand those things happen though. I'm also not sure why this one doesn't deliver but obviously I'm not going to take points off for that as it's pretty upfront and their decision as a business. Just seems to get worse at this location; the Canadaigua location just seems to not care about the customer experience - pizza was blah - lacked sauce - not much flavor - the wings were over cooked and again not much flavor in the sauce. My family's favorite pizza place in Cdga. Better than Pontillo's in Victor and Bushnells basin (in my opinion anyway). The dough is soft but the bottom is crispy. We really like the garlic parm wings. Dip your crust in the sauce from these wings... you will not be disappointed! There's lots of room in the dining area to sit. I was out of town for about six months and this is the place I always go to first when I get back home. And now I've been home for about a month, and have already gone 3-4 times. Would not recommend based on service. Stopped in for food before closing time and door was locked. Staff walked to the door and turned off the lights. Thought I had messed up times but store hours open for 1.25 hours longer. I get times are slow but don't close early without posting new times or notice on door. And definitely don't try and go even remotely close to when someone wants to go. read more

Unbelievable pizza. My favorite in all of America. For real. It's like crack, you can't stop. Cheese, pepperoni, or sausage are amazing. Perfect crust every time I've gone. Especially the buffalo chicken pizza. I had it once when I lived out of town, and I would have dreams about it. So glad I live here and can enjoy regularly! Wings perfectly crisp with mouth-watering buttery Frank's (with a dash of apple cider vinegar like you're supposed to). I eat way too many. My favorite wings in America matched only to this place in Kansas City called the Peanut. Great new location and great views of the lake. We bring our kids often and they love the arcade. Make this your pizza spot! Whoever "Phelps C" is who left the bad review is a silly guy. I've never experienced that at this place. read more

Best pizza in the finger Lakes! Ted and Jeff do a wonderful job. The restaurant is always clean. The food comes out hot and delicious.

I went with my family to this location, great service and family enjoyed the food. I will definitely revisit this location again.
