Go out of your way to stop and eat here! Garbage plates are on point! The owner seemed to be a one man show today but you would never know! He was so polite and attentive. The decor has the feel of a vintage steampunk era. A very cool place to sit and dine. The burgers were thin like a smash burger and so yummy. Went with husband, on a trip to Lake Canandaigua. We both ordered the Yardman breakfast with home fries, onions, and peppers. It also includes 2 strips of bacon, a piece of ham, and a sausage patty. Sounds delicious, but the home fries are not from home, they are likely frozen, and they were way overdone. I couldn't even get my fork into many, and they were so bland. I doused them in ketchup and the "awesome sauce" on the table. No help. The pepper and onions were largely absent.. They were so finely diced, and also overcooked, it was easy to miss. Sausage, bacon, and ham were VERY crispy and a little burnt, but they were still tasty. The eggs were spot on. It came with meat sauce or sausage gravy. Both were very rich. I passed on my meat sauce (too much allspice and/or nutmeg for me). Husband ate his gravy. He said it was sausage forward, with little gravy, but definitely scratch made and good. Full points for that. Coffee was ok, nothing great, a little weak. Now, I will give them credit as we came in at the end of breakfast. So maybe that was it. We got what they had left. The staff was great! I think we missed the mark and should have gone with garbage plates. read more

Updating the hours online for the off season may be helpful. We thought they opened at 6 am, but they were still closed at 8:40. Thankfully, they answered the phone and let us know they open at 9:00. The two people working were very nice and went out of their way to whip up a small batch of sausage gravy for me. My husband loved the meat sauce (we don't have anything like this back home). Don't bother with the coffee though-just get a bottled beverage-they have plenty of choices! read more

My wife saw this restaurant on Facebook after some of her friends had eaten here. It's a very quick trip over from the Canandaigua area and we were very glad we did! We were very impressed with the waitress after she sat us. We each ordered waters and I ordered the sausage and eggs plate. My wife ordered a Belgian waffle. There was a problem with the waffle maker, so the waitress came out and offered the pancake alternative. Take a look at the pictures! There were two pancakes, and they were beyond the size of the plate! My wife said they were the absolute most delicious pancakes she has ever had in her life. Believe me when I say this is a pretty big deal. I was very impressed with my sausage and eggs plate as well! The interior of the restaurant appears to have been recently remodeled with a steam punk type of atmosphere. We really liked it! The only thing we would change is the kitchen smell. It's tough to do, we understand but the entire restaurant smelled like the fryer. We will recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a great meal in a new restaurant. Fresh fish, potatoes etc for Friday tradition in area counties. Not once in 15 years have we been disappointed by the food served at this restaurant! Back, behind are booths and tables for restaurant customers. The hardest part is when seasonal customers return, the restaurant is "PACKED" by people returning for the great foods and service! read more

We had the breakfast taco special and an order of the pancakes and both were great. Be warned though that the portions are huge! The service was also very good, our server was very friendly. My wife and I were vacationing in the Finger Lakes area for a week. This was the first breakfast we had on our trip. It was SO GOOD we returned for our last meal before heading home.
