Went to this car wash was very unhappy. My windshield was still dirty. My back of my car dirty. It was still dusty. I talked to the manager. The oriental guy didn't really care. I paid $18 to get the full service wash. I talked to the guy that was putting shine on the tires. The good. At the beginning the wash was the best. I even got a monthly package Twords the end or now. The wash broke down 2 times while in my car. The water was no longer fresh. I could smell stale mildew in my car. Now it's shut down. No warning and I'm sure my monthly payment was withdrawn. A new company's name is on the building. My neighborhood car wash is closed for remodeling, I haven't had a wash in almost two months, and my car had lots of spots and splashes, so I Googled "full service car wash" and Pony Express Lemon Grove came up. After going through the in-car splash and rub, all the splashes and spots were still there. Water was dripping down and the mirrors had water spots. I asked a guy to please wipe off the water and he said that wasn't his job, he just does tires. I asked another guy to wipe off the spots. He told me it was bee pollen, and "the customer is responsible for that." He did a quick wipe on the windshield and easily removed those in 10 seconds flat, but then said he "wasn't allowed" to wipe cars, this was just a drive-through, handed me the rag, and told me to do it myself. I'm an old woman, in my mid-70s. Guess how easy it was for me to climb up on top of my car to reach the spots a man could easily get to, while they stood there and watched me struggle? It took me 20 minutes to rub away all the spots. Then I used their "free" vacuum, because they don't do that either. So basically I paid $18 for the privilege of washing and vacuuming my own car. BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! Horrible customer service I would nerve come again. I had came in with a family member and the wash had tore the right bumper after we got out. The man who was "helping" us said that it's probably because our car was already like that when we have never had any body damages to the car ever! and while we were in the wash we even heard a strange noise. But again the man who was working there said that there was most likely that there's nothing this could be done and was just brushing us off and was telling us to calm down when we were just asking how this could be resolved but he was really no help and very insensitive to the issue at hand incidents like this must have happened before because they had just tried to push it back in and I guess for them that has worked, but it literally tore a part of car and would not go back. I wanted to love this place because if its convenience to all my go to grocery shopping places but this is the second time I have had an issue with a scratch on the top of my trunk. I don't know if the mop things they use have rough edges or what but it is clearly a swooshing motion that left the scratches in my black paint. Also, today my car got stuck at the end of the conveyor belt and unfortunately I could not get it in drive soon enough before the other car behind me got pushed into my bumper, leaving two small impressions in the bumper of my 2020 BMW. I take ownership of my operator error but I have only ever had this issue in their car wash so I am not sure if the newer cars are having sensor issues or what but yah, sucks! Customer service was a bit harsh at first, I had to tell the manager that he didn't need to get a defensive tone with me and then he was kinder and became very helpful, so thanks Joe for showing some compassion! I paid for the $8 deluxe wash. Pulled in but the light that says where to stop didn't work so spent 5 min going back and forth trying to figure where the sweet spot was located. Came out of wash and went inside to get help. Attendant came out and assisted. Wash started, went back and forth three times with water then soap then water. The machine has now stopped over the car and is just dripping. It has been 10 minutes of just dripping. I don't want to leave it sitting in here but also not interested in going through the process of going inside to get the one person working here to come out again. Huge waste of $8 read more

I went to Pony Express Car Wash expecting a lack luster car wash, boy was I disappointed. Firstly, the price is very affordable even with extra add-ons. Secondly, the attendant placed a plastic protector/sleeve on my rear window wiper. That sold me, most places don't even bother to tie it down! The attendant was very nice and helpful and paid extra attention to some spots on my car that were very stubborn. I pulled into the stall and a worker came over and wiped down my side mirrors and back window which I appreciated. When you pull-up and the line may appear to be long, don't fret the workers move through the line really. The dryer also leaves your car rather dry and spot free. Its not a detailing center and nobody is going to vacuum, clean your windows, clean your wheels or dress your tires. This is a do it yourself carwash the only thing missing here is a gas station. The staff is cool and one employee came over as soon as I pulled in the vacuum station to dry off one of my mirrors. I guess I was suppose to tip him but he left in a hurry. The place was close enough to me and I wanted to try it out as my regular car wash gets packed all the time. - Service - The team was friendly. Barely much interaction with the workers there except when choosing your wash and they directing your car. They also provide vacuums after the wash. I did have a few complaints: 1) No towels are provided for the customer to dry excess water or door jambs (pretty disappointed in this). 2) The tire shine guys did a half decent job, leaving a few globs of paste on my rims basically wax on, no wax off. - Price - They offer 4 different tiers of washes to choose from and I went with the 'Gold Rush' at $12. At that price it's difficult not go with that option everytime. The coupon attached to the air freshener for $2 off the next wash was a nice gesture. - Overall - The Pony Express Car Wash accomplished what it was built to do, offer a quick and easy way to clean your car and I appreciate having a cleaner looking car. Having been through a number of car washes, small bits of left over sap, residue or bug guts were expected. I came here to have my dad's car washed for cheap and that is basically the extent of what you get. you sit in your car while the car goes through the wash and once it is done you have to vacuum your own car. Our own labor makes washes cheaper I suppose but I hate having to vacuum my own car haha. Nothing to fancy, I would recommend this place if you're in need of a quick wash and nothing else. read more

I have membership here, so I can get quick car washes. I hardly go but when I do go I been noticing the scratches on my car since I start going to this place. I also notice soaps and not fully rinsed with water. I usually don't make it big deal when I go. But today I was very frustrated, my car got stuck at the end of conveyor belt, I was very nervous the car behind me would hit me. This place just opened up a month or 2 ago and I have been by here a few times. This place used to be an old car sales lot (I hear on the news the owners just abandoned the lot and took off). This place is definitely a better sight then a vacant lot. I drove on on and wanted to see how good of a car wash this place was. As it was new the owners are giving $2 off any washes, so I decided to get the premium wash which was $10 (with the 2 dollars off). The guy guided me on and I was in the wash for about 2 minutes. The wash went pretty good until it came to the drying part, the high pressure air almost knocked my windshield wipers off. I exited and went to vacuum my car. Some guy came up and was very friendly. He put armor all on my tires and asked me how my visit was. I told him it was my first time, and I haven't been to a "do your own" car wash in awhile. I asked him for a rag and he went and got one for me so I could dry my car off. I ended up tipping the guy, as he was a nice dude. My car had bug marks everywhere and I spent almost 10 minutes wiping them off. It wasn't the greatest job in the world. I would rather spend $10 down the street and have some guys wash my car for me. I explain that to the lady that was taken the orders for the car wash Trying to get me granted for the three dollars off still since I am a loyal customer she said it was out of her power she would get the manager what is young gentleman probably early 20s told me there was nothing he could do about it well I've been coming here for the last eight years and it isn't the first time I've accidentally done that so I told him no it's OK especially when I don't use the coupon I always keep it wrapped up and inside the cars so they never give me a new one. It is verify that I have one and they always give me the discount as I keep the old one it's just something I do, well he told me how do I know you're telling the truth you could be lying to me I was like wow!!! I said that is pretty stupid. I said I could go home and grab another coupon out of another vehicle that I have but with you making me do that I said it's ridiculous. This is a pretty decent place to go and get your car washed and where you can vacuum afterwards. The people that work here are nice and helpful with guiding you through the car wash and are willing to help you wipe down the left over water that ends up on your vehicle. They also give you a free air freshener with your purchase. The vacuums that they have to help you with your vehicle are nice and were able to help get rid of stuck in puppy hair. i believe I was being overly generous with my first review. The basic wash gets your car clean at a very basic level. Instead of having an employee to guide customers into vacuum spots (which is a complete waste of an employee), perhaps he or she should be utilized to do a quick wipedown of the cars coming out the tunnel. Good car wash at a decent price. Upgrades available if you want tire shine and polish. You always get an air freshener that give you a free upgrade on your next visit. Although the tire shine is an additional $2 which is how much an upgrade cost so it's worth it to save a little and keep coming back. Free vacuums at end of wash and trash cans to clean out your cars iterator too. The spray some solution on bird dropping before you go in to the wash to help break it up and allow it be cleaned off propperly. My car is used for target practice by birds. Always seem to get 3 or 4 huge hits where I park within a couple days of washing. Cash or card so that's helpful since I don't usually carry cash. Really difficult at time to get into this location as its on a busy street and only entrance you have to be heading south on Massachusetts as there is a median so you can't turn in easily. read more

This was a horrible wash experience I paid for the $12 wash basically there too of the line and my car was not clean coming out. There was let alone a lot of water but soapy water left on my car. The tire apply was still wet because the sun was going down. Their cleaning of windows was just a touch up and I had to go around a dry them off and re wash my windows. The amount of dirt left on my car was horrible. Let alone the free vacuuming was gross the hose was so dirty that it got my hands and car dirty inside the opposite of what I came here to do. If they actually got there cars clean the hose probably wouldn't be as dirty. Horrible first experience! read more

I tried speaking to the manager about how their employees aren't doing a good job monitoring cars coming in through both entrances they have and his response was that they have no control over the traffic. I mentioned that their employees do have control on which customer that direct to enter their line. His response was he was down one employee. not my fault as a member. Don't wash your car at this location on the weekend, unless you have time to wait. This includes the vacuums. You'll have to wait in a parking spot until a spot opens up. The owner returned my call after leaving 3 messages and after 2 weeks. I was told they weren't liable and they took no responsibility. Don't use a credit card here they will just keep on going like the energizer bunny. Ok I used to love this place. So today I diced to go early to wash my cars so I got there around 7:40 am wash my car vacuum and everything went back home switch cars and came back. I did the wash then started to vacuum my car and when I lean over I got a really strong smell of bleach. Don't get me wrong I know we have to be really careful with COVID but one thing is wipe down the vacuum with bleach and other to soak the hose in bleach. So I put it back really fast I look at my leggings and yes I got bleach all over then (if you're a woman will understand the feeling) so I call and employee and I ask him do you guys put bleach on vacuums? He replied yes I said why there's no sign to let people know I got bleach in my clothes. OMG HE REPLIED LEGGINGS ARE CHEAP IM WEARING MY $150 SHOES AND IM NOT COMPLAINING.
