Had a great experience at Romeo's Car Wash in El Cajon. I brought my SUV in for a quick hand wash since it's wrapped in PPF (paint protection film), and they did a really nice job taking care of it by hand and not running it through the machine which can potentially cause swirl marks. The car came out super clean, inside and out. Dominic was very helpful during checkout, and overall the team was professional and efficient. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. There was a little confusion on pricing at first. My Nextdoor neighbor app friends told me to expect a $45 plus a $5 SUV fee, but was initially told $55 by the owner. However, the final charge ended up being $50 for my SUV, which I appreciated that there was no additional charge since my car is midsized. I also made sure to tip 20% to the guy who washed it. I went in after putting off washing the car and these guys are so nice and got all the bird droppings and dust from the desert off it AND! Arkan was a miracle worker with buffing out old scratches! :) I really wasn't too hopeful but wanted to give it a shot and he did it and the car looks new again (he even cleaned up the scratches on the hood from when I dragged a vacuum cable over it.) I'm so happy how it turned out. :) I will be always coming back here to have my car taken care of. read more

I went to the Santee Romeo's for a light interior/exterior detailing. Since they are so new, they didn't have all the equipment to do the work. Chris called their other location, explained what I needed, and sent me over to the El Cajon location. I got there and John took care of me and my car. No upselling, no BS. I have been coming to Romeo's Car Wash for over 20 years; in fact, I have had the premium unlimited car was the previous 8-10 years. The last year the service has gone extremely down hill. I think they might have changed ownership as all of their options have changed. The previous two times I went there I asked for the "Mini Detail." The first time I went they said that two other people also wanted a Mini Detail so I had to come back in an hour. The second time, they stated two employees were out to lunch, so they couldn't provide the service. I desperately needed a car wash since my dog had dirt prints all in my back seat. Anyways, I went ahead and did a regular car wash. When they opened up my back doors, they just looked at the dog prints and didn't even bother to wipe them down. This used to be my favorite place but unfortunately, the service has gone down hill. read more

This place is a joke. Paid for "full service" wash for both interior and exterior. They started with the interior, half way through the work they informed me that I would have to come back another day fornthe exterior wash because they didn't have any water. As for the interior, it's half ass at best. There is still dust and dirt everywhere and other parts of the interior look like they didn't even touch it. And to top it all off they somehow managed to lose my nation parks pass in the process of doing their half ads sub par work.. they did give me a voucher to return for the exterior wash but I'm pretty sure a drunk monkey would do a better job read more

I know I have written other reviews about Romeo's car wash but this time it's because I had their special detail. My car is 8 years old, but I have always taken good care of it and I'm very particular. As I have gotten older, I am less willing to do any of the detailing of my car, so I decided to try Romeo's because they have been doing a very good job on my car washes. The engine had not been cleaned in several years, and I was beginning to be embarrassed about taking it in for regular maintenance. I hate to admit, but it was filthy! When I went to pick up my car, they opened the hood and I looked at it, and all I could say was WOW, I can't believe it, it looks brand new! My carpets are an off-white, and they came out spotless and nice and fluffy. My interior is off-white leather and it looks beautiful. They clayed my entire car then waxed it and when you run your hand over it, it is as smooth as silk! So, thank you once again Romeo's for keeping this fussy old lady happy!! read more

I'm very picky about my truck. They did an outstanding job. I was so happy with the way it turned out. The exterior came out beautiful including the wheels nice and shiny. Included in the price of $45 was tire dressing,vacuum, inside windows and door jams, interior wipe down and air freshener. It was perfection and I will be going back absolutely. read more

After coming here for five years, just spent $500 with $40 tip to have two vehicles fully detailed. I went over the expectations clearly with the foreman. They never opened the hood or cleaned the bed of the truck, and there's still bug residue throughout the paint and windows. And there's abrasion to the cap trim where the buffer hit. I took the day off from work to get this done. I called them back to ask them to make it right, but Sam was short and only had excuses that they had done it right arguing against every point I made. It's one thing for a company to fail to perform, but it's another when they don't make things right. Photos are from right after the truck was driven home. Waste of time and money,from the moment you drive up to the car wash you are greeted with a very bad customer service not friendly and attentive at all, then the service wow! I got the works should I say I paid for the works I got the worst service keep in mind only 2 cars being washed while there . The interior was not vacuumed properly and simple things like wiping the dashboard was not done. If you can avoid this place do ,can't imagine how bad it is when it's servicing more than 2 cars at a time. Plenty of employees there but only 2 of them working the rest (4) of them smoking and arguing in Arabic. read more

By far the best Wash I've been to worth the $45 for hand wash in and out definitely recommend coming here. Horrible service, they upsell you and then give you a basic wash. I paid $19 and they spent literally all of 30 seconds wiping it down. I just sat there for a few seconds in disbelief. Finally, I got out of my car and found the two lazy workers sitting against the wall smoking cigarettes. I told them I paid more to have my tires cleaned and they said "no that's $22". I said "you aren't even going to dry the rims, they are still filthy"? One guy grabbed a rag and spent another 15 seconds doing something. At that point I just drove away. I stopped at a gas station down the street and had to finish wiping my car down myself. I've never seen lazier workers who could care less and have no pride in representing the business. read more

This used to be my go to place. Still the guys at the front do a great job of cleaning your vehicle really well before they send it through the shoot. But then on the other side, the guys drying your car... absolutely do a horrible job. They're asleep at the wheel. They don't get the windows like they should. They barely wipe off the dash. They leave dripping water all over the truck. Pretty sad that there's nobody managing the guys on the back end of that place. read more

Worst car wash ever. It was $38 to have the outside washed and spray waxed, and the inside vacuumed and wiped down. Only problem was they didn't vacuum the inside! And the way they wiped it down left streaks where it was clean in between the dusty places. But the worst part was they somehow tore the plastic off of the rear bumper, didn't mention anything and certainly didn't repair it. A good Samaritan driver pointed at the rear of my truck so I pulled over and saw it hanging there. read more

I wish the customer service was better because I really wanted to give them a try. They gave me a quote for $160 for a basic detail. Sounded steep but I told them we wanted to check one more place and will be right back. This place was 4 minutes away. Drove there and back and then he said it's too late now he won't do it. So basically the loss of stars was for completely wasting my time. Location 2 stars, service unknown, customer service 0 stars. Just very rude. His response was "well you left". Like I know, I told you I wanted to check. 8 minutes is "too late" for them since they stop detailing at 2pm. Small businesses are suppose to be a little lenient. Not here. read more

I take my truck here every week for a hand wash, they typically do a adequate job and they charge me $40 and I give them $60. So I had good recommendations to have my daughter take her car there for a good wash and armor all. Apparently they were all pricks and don't treat people with respect. It sucks that the people there are not friendly enough to want people to come back especially during these times. I went to Romeo's car to try it out. The customer service was terrible. The guy couldn't care less if I was there or not. Another guy asked me if my car was salvaged. As far as the work, I speak for their $35 service thinking their do a good job cleaning my car. But it was sloppy. After I came home and moved some things around I saw that they didn't vacuum half the car. The windshield was still a little dirty. And the parts they did clean on the inside, were still not that clean. Will never go there again. I'd recommend staying away from that place!!! read more

RACIST TOWARDS AMERICAN!! I had no idea they were racist. We went in for a carwash to get the usual outside and inside done but the Arabic working there said it was going to be 1 1/2 hours before they could do the inside. We over paid for the half assed wash and then we pull in to use the vacuums since they were "busy." There were two other families which looked American, doing their own cars because they were told it was an 1 1/2 wait. Then this Arabic guy pulls his truck in and all of the sudden all the guys that were busy jumped on this guys truck. I looked at the guy and said, what happened to 1 1/2 hour wait? He gave some seriously lame excuse and it made me very upset. The guys spoke Arabic to each other. I said, well these guys are not busy, so they can do mine. He said , no because... and gave another made up excuse. I told him this was racist to not serve anyone that did not speak Arabic. He gave another excuse. This is NOT how you treat people here, especially disabled Veterans because we do not speak Arabic, I am VERY disappointed how myself and the other families were treated because we did not speak ARABIC.
