Long: This is an unnecessary middle man business that quietly poses as a government service agency. The name itself, "The Passport Office" sounds official enough to uninformed soon to be travelers, such as myself. Though the reality is that you will pay them to simply fill out the same exact form you can do yourself at the post office. Please keep in mind, this does not cover your post office fees as at all. I've been lied to and cheated by this business; and feel utterly frustrated. They assured me that, only they could expedite my passport in 12 business days. They then had me drive to a public post office 30minutes out of my way, only to find out by the US postal employee (bless her), that I only needed to come to post office in the first place. When I returned with my sealed documents and confronted my consultant, Raquel Castellanos, she denied her previous statements assuring me they would help more more than the post office's services. I'm sure I appeared tired, frustrated, and upset to her. Yet I was only met with a defensive attitude. 0/5 Never to return.

More Than Just a Library…read more Peninsula Center Library was the very first library I visited when I moved to the Los Angeles South Bay, and over the years, this place has been through a LOT with me. I've used it during periods of unemployment, for booking study rooms while interviewing for jobs, and simply as a quiet place to sit, read, think, or get some work done. It has become one of those places that holds a lot of memories for me. First, the building itself deserves some appreciation. The modern design and huge windows that let in so much natural light are a must for me. Walking into a bright library just makes my day better. There's also an underground parking structure, although it's limited, and I especially appreciate it on those hot South Bay days when having my car parked in the shade makes a difference. I also LOVE the Friends of the Library sales. They have highly discounted books, CDs, DVDs, and -- my personal favorite -- PUZZLES! The larger monthly book sales are especially fun because they open up the big room and have a much bigger selection. I've bought countless books and puzzles here over the years. I've participated in their reading program, too, and the staff have always been helpful. More recently, work has made this location less convenient for me, so I don't get here nearly as often as I used to. I now visit Katy Geissert Civic Center Library more often simply because of convenience. I used to come here 2-3 times a week, and now I'm probably here around 2-4 times a month. It honestly makes me a little sad because I still love this library. The library's online/app services have also been incredibly useful. I've used them to reserve study rooms and place holds on books without having to make an extra trip. And speaking of study rooms -- these have been a lifesaver. Whether I need somewhere quiet and private to focus on work or a reliable place to take a virtual job interview, being able to reserve a room has been incredibly valuable to me. I also love the bookmark contests! I get to see the creativity of local kids, and some of their artwork is seriously impressive -- sometimes downright jaw-dropping. I love grabbing a free bookmark on my way out. At this point, my typical library visit feels like: walk in for a book, walk out with a book AND a bookmark. The kids' area also looks like such a fun space, even though I don't personally use it. Overall, I love the staff, programs, resources, architecture, and just the general vibe of Peninsula Center Library. It has been much more than a place to check out books for me. It has been a quiet refuge, a workspace, an interview space, a place to discover books, and occasionally a place to find a great puzzle for a few dollars. Even though I don't visit as frequently as I used to, this library will always have a special place in my South Bay story. And yes -- I'll probably keep coming back for those Friends of the Library sales and puzzles.

Instead, necessary forms and instructions were scattered across multiple, separate communications, which created severe confusion and forced the acceptance agency to provide missing forms that should have been included in the initial materials. Providing Inaccurate Information: The service provider supplied pre-filled application forms that contained incorrect information regarding the applicant's place of birth, which required additional time and effort to reprint corrected copies. Conflicting and Impossible Instructions: The instructions provided often conflicted with the actual text of the State Department's letter, causing confusion regarding what needed to be signed and witnessed. Furthermore, the service repeatedly directed the applicant to visit an acceptance agency to execute an oath, despite the service already being in possession of the applicant's required identity documents, making it impossible to complete the mandated steps. Lack of Clarity in Simultaneous Processing: The service struggled to manage the simultaneous processing of different application types (passport book renewal and stolen passport card replacement), creating administrative bottlenecks that ultimately led to unnecessary denials and delays.

I paid approximately $190, only to later discover that this was a separate service fee and that I would still need to pay the government passport fees in addition. As a parent applying for a child passport, I felt misled by how the service was presented. Had it been clearer that this was a third-party company and that the payment did not include the government passport fees, I would have made a different decision. When I realized my mistake and requested a refund, my request was denied. This has been a very frustrating and expensive experience. I encourage others to carefully review all fees and understand that this is a third-party service before making a payment.

I asked the agent if he could fix the problem and secure the proper Visa type within 3 days and he said no. He blamed me for not providing the proper paperwork, rather than himself, who was supposed to be the expert in guiding me through the process. They charged us a fee $550 per person plus a $250 rush fee for a total of $3000 and when I asked for a refund on the one Visa + rush fee he offered to reimburse us only $185. In addition to getting our Visa's rejected, he sent multiple urgent last minute requests demanding paperwork within hours otherwise our applications would be rejected. It was the most stressful and unprofessional experience I have ever had with an agency. I ended up hiring another agency who was able to secure the proper Visa type within 3 days and provided me with exceptional and professional service.
