I recently moved to the Henderson area from Summerlin and wanted to find a new groomer. I saw Pooches-N-Pals near my dentist and a restaurant I frequent so figured I would give it a try. My little 9-pound Maltipoo went for his first spa day here last weekend. When I dropped him off, the owner came out to greet us. Milo usually is a bit scared when I drop him off for grooming, but the other groomers usually tell me he calmed down a few minutes after I left and they always say he was a good boy. The owner here, when I picked him up, kept noting how he was not comfortable and would not sit still. It rubbed me the wrong way. That said, she did a decent job with the cut and gave him a cute festive holiday bow on his harness. Wondering if she maybe could be a bit more patient or loving to the pups and then he might have 'behaved' better. Not sure, but either way I probably won't go back due to the attitude and the fact that Milo clearly did not like her :(

Fresh after my girls visit to Pooches-N-Pals! American Eskimo/Pom mix

It was my first time taking one of my dogs to get professionally groomed- I have always been hesitant because of various horror stories I have heard. I saw Pooches n Pals on Yelp and after reading all the outstanding reviews I decided to go ahead and try it out. I called and spoke with the owner, Jin, who was very helpful and set an appointment for me. I dropped my baby off and was anxious to see the results, cause she was a hot mess- no lie. About 3 hours later Jin called and told me my little girl was ready and she looked AMAZING! Her matted thick coat was completely soft and silky. Her fur looked super white, her paws and ears and tail were trimmed perfectly. The super fluffy area around her butt was nicely trimmed and no longer dragging on the ground. She also had the cutest bow in her hair. I loved it. My little girl is half Pomeranian/American Eskimo so her undercoat is difficult- every time I tried to brush her it was a huge ordeal and she would squirm and run off. Jin really cleaned her up beautifully and my doggy looked so gorgeous and happy! I truly appreciated the time and effort that was put in. I made an appointment for my boy dog right then and there. I am so excited to bring him in and get him looking and feeling spiffy too! Jin was so friendly and helpful and knew exactly what my girl needed without prompting. She truly seems to understand the breeds and how their skin and coats should be handled. If you are looking for a groomer who is knowledgeable, patient, has great attention to detail, handles your dog well, and is fairly priced look no further! I will absolutely continue to bring my little furry ones here!

We love Pooches N Pals! We have been bringing our mini Aussie here and absolutely adore Tracy and Ray. Tracy is super responsive and both she and Ray shower our little guy with lots of love while they get him clean, soft, and smelling great. He comes home looking super fresh every time. Tracy is our groomer at this location. She does a great job with my two dogs. I have a full sized golden doodle and a small coton. Tracy and Ray are always so happy to see my pups. We have been using them for a few years now and they are very dependable. I always recommend them to anyone I can. read more

Jin does a fantastic job and shows so much care for all the furry friends she takes care of. Our dog actually shows excitement when we pull into the parking lot because he knows he's going to be pampered. This is a full-service doggy spa. Where has this place been all our life? We are huge PetSmart fans, as both of our dogs go to Banfield there. We buy all our requirements from PetSmart, use the hotel and the grooming. While I have been happy with the grooming for three years, I find that the service is a bit androgynous and unless you know your stylist by name, you tend to go in and if you do not asked, you will be assigned a stylist. Each time, we have given nice tips and yet find that something is not quite right. Nails a bit sharp, hair a bit off, hair on the tail a bit odd shaped and just little quirky stuff. Bad breath, not a full report like they promise. ONTO Pooches N Pal. Personalized service. Better make appointment as they are small, the stylist really knows dog cuts and if you are not really sure, will make recommendations. Quality Service - The best hair curt ever. Period. For some odd reason, next visit to the park and everyone is commenting on my small golden terrier's hair and how shiny it is. I never even noticed it before we went to Pooches N Pals. Pricing - If it is not the same as all the larger places, it is certainly similar and worth it. I find this place to be very high quality, high in service, knowledgeable, proud and professional. When it comes to the dogs, this is the place I am bring them to from now on. You gotta switch and try this place out. read more

They do as good a job as anybody else if you can put up with the attitude and pay plenty for it. ZERO customer service skills. Very snobbish with a huge sense of self-entitlement. Let alone the number of excuses why your dog is never ready in time (5 hours later...). So if you don't have the funds or the TIME to take your pup in every other week at about $80 after all has been said and done, you're better off at a more "humble" establishment where your business will be better appreciated. read more

Don't know how this place went up to a 5 star rating, unless owners are rating with fake accounts. All the reviews. Including mine have been removed.... If you care for your pups , do not take them here. Owner always has sweet voice , "oh your baby" Blah blah blah but both my dogs had severe damage done while there.... Look deeper for other reviews! BEWARE!!!!! read more

Sadly, this place is NOT for all dogs. I have been taking my 2 cute little malitpoos here on and off for about a year. Last week I was called by the owner to have me pick up my maltipoo due to a problem with her eye! I rushed to find that my dog (who had been waiting for 3 hours) hadn't even begun to be groomed AND her eye was bleeding, red and swollen, which was NOT how I brought her into PNP. I immediately took her to my vet and the vet told me her eye issue was due to TRAUMA from the groomer. Apparently, someone at PNP constrained her head (as they due when they give them haircutts) with so much force it strangled her to the point that eye popped out! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND ALERT ALL THAT CURRENTLY TAKE THERE DOGS TO PNP!!!! read more

I have been taking Milo my half Bichon/Poodle to Jin for last two years. She is one of the best groomers I have ever had in all my years of owning dogs . She strives for perfection and accomplish's it. The facility is always clean , professional and her fees reasonable. My dog loves her and you can tell she loves every pet brought in to her . A couples months ago I had my 13 year old Labrador and 8 year old Cavalier groomed here. My Lab came back barely able to walk. In fairness she has had minor hip issues however this was so severe like nothing before. In addition my Cavalier starting shaking her head and scratches at her hears a couple days later. Needless to say I took them to vet and he explained the Cavalier had ear infection equally progressed in both ears. Given the timing and progression its likely from a dirty tool, he explained. He also said they likely had my old Lab hold an up all four position for too long. Needless to say this my first review ever written but it's done so to inform anybody considering using a Pooches-n-Pals. read more

GREAT PLACE FOR GROOMING! We have taken our 3 year old shi-tzu 2 times now since moving to the area. Nice people and they know what they are doing! Definitely worth the price of grooming. She told us our previous groomer in CA who we thought was good was cutting him uneven and asked to clip him very short all over. We now see what she means and will keep taking him to this place. Highly recommend. Very professional. Very clean too! read more

Jin, an very cheery and pleasant person, does an excellent job with our Ragdoll cat who needs help with her luxurious coat beyond brushing and wipe-downs. Most of her clients are small dogs, but she is knowledgeable about cats as well. read more

We haven't had her groomed since November because of a bad grooming incident with a different groomer. We reached out to The Good Dog Spa explaining our reservations which they reassured us they would take care of her and could do mobile grooming as well. Steve came out and reiterated he would take care of Lexxie and explained his process putting my mom's mind at ease. A couple hours later and he had Lexxie all cleaned up. We were so thrilled that she could finally see better and her nails were trimmed nicely. He said she was a good dog and didn't have any issues with her. He also left us with some tips on regular grooming practices. We will definitely be continuing to have Steve come out to take care of our dog.

I'm not sure what…read morehappened but the communication as of now was so poor and when I polled a few friends about the text messages I received when trying to schedule the appointment was all met with the same response - rude. I requested to be contacted to schedule an appointment, yet an appointment was automatically scheduled. I texted the owner simply ASKING if there was anything in the morning. Her response of "y o u made the appointment" and "we have an appointment will you be there" was out of line. I eventually said to myself "maybe I messed up" and said the initial appointment would be fine. Fast forward to the day before the appointment and I get a confirmation for 2:30 (agreed upon time) and then later a confirmation for 3:30. The audacity to get annoyed when I simply asked about a different time and then CHANGE my time without asking is insane. As a groomer, she's fantastic. As a business owner, something drastically changed.

But the store itself was disgusting. Hairs everywhere, even down to the grooming brushes that are up for sale. Hairs in the drain, in the towels that are used to dry the dog, and also in the brushes from whoever washed their dog last. I did like that they offered many shampoo options depending on your dog's needs. I don't live here but even if I did I would choose a different spot to go to. This place was too filthy.

We had already let them know ahead of time that she's extremely active and that it was her very first grooming appointment. They later told us she wasn't comfortable with the clippers, so they were only able to trim her hair with scissors and said that was the best they could do. After that experience, we decided to reach out to At Your Door Mobile Pet Grooming because we were worried other groomers might turn us away due to how difficult our pup can be. We also felt more comfortable having the groomer right outside our home in case any issues came up during the appointment. From our very first interaction, we shared all of our concerns, and they immediately reassured us by saying, "We will work with her," without any hesitation. Their pricing was a little higher than other groomers, but honestly, the convenience and peace of mind made it completely worth it. MELINDA is AMAZING!!! She did such a fantastic job on our pup's haircut, and her patience was truly unmatched. You can genuinely tell she loves what she does and takes pride in her work. Thank you so much, Melinda! We appreciate everything you did for our Nugget, and we will definitely be booking with you again next time!

I called to make an appointment and ended up speaking with someone who claimed to be the assistant…read moremanager. Instead of being helpful, she immediately tried to upsell me and quoted $130 for grooming my small poodle. That's the same price my friend pays for her large dog, which makes no sense. When I questioned the pricing, she kept talking over me rather than addressing my concerns. She even claimed that because I don't come in often, my price would be higher--which feels completely unfair and inconsistent. I've never paid $130 for my small dog before, so it honestly seems like they're just changing prices to make more money. Very disappointing experience, Especially coming from a manager.

very very very disappointed......i finally broke down and went close to my house. I thought i would give local owned a shot.............i should be shot..........she said yes yes i now this kind dog, and you want one size or flowing....well must have been a language barrier in the meaning of each..because i said one size THINKING that it would be trimmed the same all the way around.....i paid first (which now i know why...40.00 to boot) and out comes a dog that looked like a total different breed.....she was shaved all the way down tail trimmed all down....just shaved down didnt even look like a cairn terrier....i was so shocked i didnt even know what to say...i even think my dog was like what the heck happened here! I decided to leave and go cool off. When i returned i proceeded to tell her how disappointed i was with what had happened and even how the shaving was terribly uneven...and that i was very unhappy. This owner starts to tell me she is a "professional" she know what cairn look like and i say even all the way (back to the language barrier) and wanted to continue to talk back and over my concerns.....well you will never get another dime from me and anyone else i come in contact with....all you had to do was actually be professional and say at least sorry ...but since you couldnt even seem to get that right.....i now must let others know the need to bring actual photos that you can sit next to the dog so you will know how to actually groom one....i should have went with some training that still had desire to do it right....my dog is not your canvass....and to the rest i would suggest moving on up the street there are many others...sorry Casey ...i wont do it again read more

This place should get more than 17 reviews. If you are here and read this bring your dog here. He or she will look and smell amazing after. I have my dog for last 8 months and it's been quite a adventure when time to take her to groomers. One place we asked to trim half inch off they shaved her to her skin. Another place quoted you $110 for full groom and ended paid $150 no idea why. Most place we went to after she smells we just thought it is how it is we are new dog owner what do we know. This Pooches and Pals place she came out and smells so good. They must have use good high qualities products. Her haircut was nice and as you asked. NO PROBLEM communication with Tracy. Best yet their price is amazing, we ended pay $50 for her "tidy trim and bath" includes wash, hair trim, nails, teeth, anal glands. I know their price for full groom is not much more. My dog is 35lbs. Thank you for making my day with my girl Mochi! read more
