Left to groom somewhere else. Then I took on another groomer there by the name of Isabella. Used her a few times and was very happy. Things started to change every 6/8 weeks when I brought my two Mini schnauzers in to get groomed. Each time the price kept going up. From $65 to $95 dollars in a matter of months. She also stated each time that my dogs had mats, which they did not, and tried to charge me more for that! Last appt was at 10am, and my dogs were still sitting in cages at 3PM with Isabella nowhere to be found. Again, tried to charge me $95 per dog!!!! Had an appt on 5/25, Isabella cancelled on me. Made the appt for Tues. 5/26 at 10am. Still waiting for Isabella to arrive and it was 10:40. Next thing I know, the lady at the front desk calls Isabella, then proceeds to tell me that Isabella doesn't want to groom my dogs!!!! Bottom line, DON'T USE ISABELLA!!!!! NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!!!!!! My senior doggo, Xena, got a simple bath and grooming appointment with toothbrushing (extra $10), for the grand total to come up as $77 (so $67 for the wash/grooming). The process to get a grooming appointment may seem daunting at first, but I assure you, it goes fast and is all online. You go on their site and fill out a form for grooming, your information, your pup's information, and create an account where you can fill in your payment information. Then, all you have to do is email your pup's up to date vaccination records to Bone Jour (they will tell you these steps if you call or email them as well). I believe they are doing this for safety reasons, which puts me at ease that my dog won't get any infections here. She came back happy, smelling very fresh even 2 days after, and they even sent her back with a nice red bone bandana. The overall appointment took about 3 hours and it looked quite busy since I saw 3 other people dropping their fur babies off as I was arriving. They are staying safe with COVID protocols and assigning people generous windows of time to drop off their pups (ie: we were assigned the 7-10am slot). Bone Jour is staffed by friendly, organized, and efficient dog lovers, everyone spoke so well of Xena and I could tell they were gentle on her weak teeth and detail-oriented with her grooming!

Elly, the owner, was knowledgeable and generous with her time on the consultation call, and she invited us over to her house for a meet-and-greet. After we arrived and exchanged pleasantries, Elly went right to work. Keeping a close eye on how our pup responded to a variety of stimuli (mainly, how she was reacting to being part of an unfamiliar pack), she explained different behavioral traits about the JRT (much of what we'd researched prior to the adoption), and set out a coursework for the training (which was something that we hadn't been able to successfully cull through ourselves). After watching our little girl run around the backyard (100% fenced-in), we decided to go with Elly. She impressed us with her knowledge and passion, and we really loved the idea of cage-free boarding. It made sense for us to have the person who trained her be the person who would watch over her when we were away. *Fast forward to 6/12* Not only did the training go very, very well, but our pup goes on off-leash hikes and stays with Elly when we're out of town . Training: 5 stars (We can communicate with our JRT effectively now!) Hiking: 5 stars (The off-leash hiking is the best way we've found for her to get exercise AND socialization.)
