The Combination of this level of excellence within the establishment, along the creatively effective leadership from the owners, has blessed the community with a powerhouse in the dining industry. Additionally, the availability for on-site private functions and their catering capabilities has led to their exponential growth and now the move to their new larger location. If you are ready to step up your dining experience with a true local hot spot for hospitality and hearty meals, Angels is your place! I personally know customers that order through Door-Dash and Uber Eats to have their food delivered as far away as Geneva, Oviedo, Chuluota and East Orlando. That alone speaks volumes when you consider the increased wait time and expense of such a great delivery distance. Pure Proof of Product Perfection! *10 Out Of 10* Highly Recommended

I ordered from Too Good To Go where you pay a reduced rate for surplus food. You order a surprise meal through the app. It was Sunday and they offer a Sunday dinner so I had high hopes for my order of two dinners. One meal was three pieces of jerk chicken along with sides of rice and black eyed peas. The second meal was baked chicken with mashed potatoes and white beans that seemed to be northern. The chicken was freshly prepared and hot and the meals stayed that way until I got home. I liked that the jerk chicken was not too spicy. Definitely full of flavor and the peas and rice was a nice combination. The second meal was a comforting meal. Two dark pieces of chicken and a scoop of mashed with the simmered northern beans. Each meal came with cornbread which probably was my favorite part. I was happy with my meals and definitely would eat here again. I want extra cornbread and to choose another dish from the menu.

On our last visit the restaurant was pretty empty with probably only one more couple eating there. The service is ok ,the food didn't taste as good as our previous visit but they do have a nice ambiance and some days they have a live band. As of May 2026,this business is closing. Also this business has been on the news many times claiming it was closing or struggling to stay open. Even the fish was mushy and greasy tasting as well, yet it managed to hold the disturbingly present background texture and taste of being freezer burnt meat. Overall, the aesthetics of this local establishment leaves much to be desired in regard to cleanliness. There's a distinctly stale, musky smell in the air. Additionally, the somehow sticky, yet greasy feel to the main floors, left me questioning the level of cleanliness in the kitchen. The overall pricing is equivalent in comparison to most of the other dining establishments in the area, but definitely not worth the actual expense considering the low quality product being served to the community. Not sure why the local residents and political leaders in this town have invested so much time and money with their continued efforts to keep this establishment alive. * Zero out of 10 * To Be Absolutely Clear... I Do Not Considerer To Be This Business As A Recommended Dining Establishment. !!!Save Your Money!!!

The smothered pork chops were also very good. Both portions were generous. Our meals were very well done. We enjoyed splitting a Coca Cola cake with vanilla ice cream. A sit-down dinner for 2 for under $50 including a tip for our server is PDG these days. Especially when compared to a cold flavorless burger and limp fries served in a paper bag along with a flat soft drink that cost upwards of $15 at the popular fast food place right next door. This Sanford Cracker Barrel is well-run with good food at a reasonable price. We'll be back.

It had been years, and I was genuinely excited. Unfortunately, that excitement faded pretty quickly. It was freezing inside, and that's coming from two Floridians who appreciate strong AC. The service started off rough. Our first server seemed irritated from the beginning. Somehow even asking about the soup of the day that was listed on the menu felt like an inconvenience. The whole vibe felt tense. Ordering took forever (to the point we were questioning if they realized we were there), and the food took just as long to come out. My sister was so excited for the hashbrown casserole that she ordered a double portion, which made it even more disappointing when everything came out bland. Truly bland, to the point that neither of us could finish our meals. I was honestly so thrown off by the server's attitude that I forgot to ask for a corn muffin instead of a biscuit, although she did not ask either (which is typical). The only reason this is not a 1-star review is because our server was unexpectedly switched out after we ordered, and the second one was a total night and day difference. The gift shop staff were also beyond sweet and helpful, and the store itself is still fun to browse. They have such a unique selection of treats you do not usually see. I could not resist trying the bubble gum soda and loading up on candy. Overall, not the cozy comfort meal I was hoping for, but the shop and the second server kept it from being a complete loss.

The apps we got for our meal (Bang Bang Shrimp) portions were huge. The blackened Mahi fish tacos were good--I liked the planks of fish on top and the choice of pico de gallo or mango salsa. All in all a positive experience but I guess due to the busy day, service was slow. If you like big portions, this place is for you! All staff super friendly!

Katie, one of our servers greeted us immediately and got us started with drinks and appetizers. We ordered the special spicy mango margarita and a classic lime margarita. The margaritas arrived quickly and the spicy mango was delicious! Mango with shaved ice and some pickled jalapeños and carrots. Tahini on the rim added to the wonderful flavor. Cant beat a classic lime margarita on the rocks, cool and refreshing on a warm day. We split a crab cake appetizer with house made remolade. Just one crab cake but big enough to split. Cooked perfectly and crab very fresh. Sauce was great as well. Server Justin took our meal order. We opted to split the fresh 2 lb. Snapper special. Choice of blackened, fried or baked. We choose baked and he advised baked takes a little longer but we were in no rush. The snapper arrived with mixed vegetables as our side. Snapper was perfectly done, falling off the bone, tender and flavorful. The fish was so fresh, delicious and didn't require any additional sauce or seasoning. Mixed tender crisp veggies; squash, zucchini and broccoli were a wonderful complement to the amazing snapper! Afterwards, Sarah stopped by to check on us and brought a lovely slice of Key Lime Pie for our dessert. It was perfectly tart and a fabulous finish for a delectable late lunch! Amazing food, great service and friendly staff make St John's River Steak and Seafood a "must stop" in Sanford, Florida. Highly Recommend! Kate the Artist

Had to get bloodwork done at 6:30am, so afterwards we were close to here and craving breakfast, so it was a no-brainer to stop in here. Having been born and raised in Mississippi, I am always on the hunt for some good southern homestyle cooking and I for sure found it here. First, everything about the outside and inside of the restaurant reminded me of all the lil mom and pop restaurants I was raised going to. Great nostalgia for me. Now was the food going to live up to what the place looked like?? YES! So I went in craving breakfast and then what did my little eye spy on the menu? An open-faced roast beef sandwich and they service breakfast and lunch all day? Well, yes, please and thank you! Forget brekkie, I went straight for that open-faced roast beef with fried and all of it covered in gravy. OH MY! I'm talking this is the kinda food that (as we say in the Deep South) makes you wanna slap your momma! The bread was piled high with fresh roast beef. The fries were steak fries which are my favorite. The gravy topping everything was just the chef's kiss to set everything off! So many things I want to try on the menu, but I think it's going to be a while before I order anything other than that open-faced roast beef! Hubby had scrambled eggs, toast, hash (his fav brekkie food and he asked for it crispy - they delivered), and breakfast potatoes. He said everything was great and that it's the best hash he's had. I have never been a fan of hash, but I always try it. This has I would definitely eat. It was good. Can't say I'd order it myself because I'm just not a fan, but if this is the breakfast that was served to me, I definitely wouldn't turn my nose up at it. Anyway, two big thumbs up from hubby. Wheelchair friendly. Clean restrooms. Great service from our attentive and sweet server. Food came out very fast. I also much mention the Diet Coke. You know how some are just better from certain fountains? Yes, this was one of those cold fountain Coke's that was just so good. It really hit different. I ordered water as per usual because I try to not drink soda too much, especially while I eat, but hubby mentioned how good it was so, of course I had to try it. He was right. Very good indeed. If you are in the area, don't miss out on this lil restaurant. You will not be disappointed! The only negative thing I can say is they are only open until 3pm on weekdays and only until 2pm on the weekends. Guess that's a good complaint though. LOL Sure wish they were open for dinner too b/c we'd really be eating here a lot!!

We started with cheese curds and both decided on sandwiches. I did a tuna melt on rye with Swiss, my sister ordered the market club. Both were delicious. Fries, tots and onion rings are side choices. Daily specials and soups are available. The service was spot on, def a place to become a regular at! Can't wait to go back and try something else.

In town on a work trip, my husband, and I decided to try this place out! What a wonderful surprise! A wonderful happy hour menu, led us to a full menu of what felt like a farm to table experience. I sadly didn't get to snap a photo of the excellent appetizer buratta, but it was a perfect blend of balsamic tomato and creamy cheese! I am a true foodie, and this was hands-down the best burger I've ever eaten. My husband absolutely loved his shrimp and grits, perfectly cooked and well balanced flavor.
