I wanted everything on the menu. This was more than southern comfort. I was very impressed and each dish had the perfect balance of flavor. Portions were perfect and it's always nice to be satisfied without feeling sick after like so many "comfort" foods can. I got the Korean seabass special and it was slightly pan fried with a crisp I the edges and meaty center. The pickled peaches were excellent! The ice cream is house made and very unique. We had the popcorn, buttermilk and brown sugar. I liked the brown sugar the best. :) The drink selections were great. I really enjoyed this orange beer that had over 5 % abv and is a good contender to OBP! We will be back next month because I've got to try the ragu and gnocchi!

Such an amazing representation of how a local community can thrive alongside a successful business…read more It starts with an amazing selection of delicious options on the menu, served by the greatest possible level of friendly service team that are being backed up by a wonderful kitchen staff... The Combination of this level of excellence within the establishment, along the creatively effective leadership from the owners, has blessed the community with a powerhouse in the dining industry. Additionally, the availability for on-site private functions and their catering capabilities has led to their exponential growth and now the move to their new larger location. If you are ready to step up your dining experience with a true local hot spot for hospitality and hearty meals, Angels is your place! I personally know customers that order through Door-Dash and Uber Eats to have their food delivered as far away as Geneva, Oviedo, Chuluota and East Orlando. That alone speaks volumes when you consider the increased wait time and expense of such a great delivery distance. Pure Proof of Product Perfection! *10 Out Of 10* Highly Recommended

I ordered from Too Good To Go where you pay a reduced rate for surplus food. You order a surprise meal through the app. It was Sunday and they offer a Sunday dinner so I had high hopes for my order of two dinners. One meal was three pieces of jerk chicken along with sides of rice and black eyed peas. The second meal was baked chicken with mashed potatoes and white beans that seemed to be northern. The chicken was freshly prepared and hot and the meals stayed that way until I got home. I liked that the jerk chicken was not too spicy. Definitely full of flavor and the peas and rice was a nice combination. The second meal was a comforting meal. Two dark pieces of chicken and a scoop of mashed with the simmered northern beans. Each meal came with cornbread which probably was my favorite part. I was happy with my meals and definitely would eat here again. I want extra cornbread and to choose another dish from the menu.

It was great value for 2 people. You could not get all this in NYC. I liked that you can jazz up the grits. The catfish was fresh. The French toast was not the fluffy kind but it was still great. They provided us a mini glass bottle of syrup (super cute!) For the French toast. The country store before the restuarant is FILLED to the brim. It's mostly candy, novelty themed holiday things and souvenir esque things. CB has a royalty program and gives a free shareable (app) upon joining! Throughly enjoyed! The smothered pork chops were also very good. Both portions were generous. Our meals were very well done. We enjoyed splitting a Coca Cola cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. A sit-down dinner for 2 under $50 including a tip for our server is PDG these days. Especially when compared to a cold flavorless burger and limp fries in a paper bag tossed on a dirty counter by a surly teenager along with a flat soft drink that cost $15 at the popular fast food place right next door. This Sanford Cracker Barrel is well-run with good food at a reasonable price. We'll be back.

Sitting right on Lake Monroe with that view of the water, especially around sunset, is hard to beat in Sanford. The food is excellent too. They have a huge selection, so whether you're in the mood for seafood or a steak, there's something for everybody. The seafood always seems fresh, the portions are generous, and they don't skimp on the good stuff. The blackened fish with shrimp and crab risotto is a standout, and you hear people constantly talking about the grouper, shrimp and grits, conch fritters, gator bites and seafood combinations. Their steaks are also legitimately good, so you don't feel like you have to order seafood just because it's on the water. The atmosphere is probably what keeps me coming back. It's casual enough that you can bring the family, but the view makes it nice enough for a date night or special occasion. There's just something relaxing about eating dinner and looking out over the lake. Service has always been another big positive. The staff is friendly and attentive without hovering over you, and even when the restaurant is busy, they do a good job taking care of everyone. That seems to be something a lot of other people mention in their reviews as well. Good food, cold drinks, great service and one of the best restaurant views in Sanford. If somebody was visiting town and asked me where they could get some seafood and actually feel like they were in Florida, this would definitely be on my list.

Had to get bloodwork done at 6:30am, so afterwards we were close to here and craving breakfast, so it was a no-brainer to stop in here. Having been born and raised in Mississippi, I am always on the hunt for some good southern homestyle cooking and I for sure found it here. First, everything about the outside and inside of the restaurant reminded me of all the lil mom and pop restaurants I was raised going to. Great nostalgia for me. Now was the food going to live up to what the place looked like?? YES! So I went in craving breakfast and then what did my little eye spy on the menu? An open-faced roast beef sandwich and they service breakfast and lunch all day? Well, yes, please and thank you! Forget brekkie, I went straight for that open-faced roast beef with fried and all of it covered in gravy. OH MY! I'm talking this is the kinda food that (as we say in the Deep South) makes you wanna slap your momma! The bread was piled high with fresh roast beef. The fries were steak fries which are my favorite. The gravy topping everything was just the chef's kiss to set everything off! So many things I want to try on the menu, but I think it's going to be a while before I order anything other than that open-faced roast beef! Hubby had scrambled eggs, toast, hash (his fav brekkie food and he asked for it crispy - they delivered), and breakfast potatoes. He said everything was great and that it's the best hash he's had. I have never been a fan of hash, but I always try it. This has I would definitely eat. It was good. Can't say I'd order it myself because I'm just not a fan, but if this is the breakfast that was served to me, I definitely wouldn't turn my nose up at it. Anyway, two big thumbs up from hubby. Wheelchair friendly. Clean restrooms. Great service from our attentive and sweet server. Food came out very fast. I also much mention the Diet Coke. You know how some are just better from certain fountains? Yes, this was one of those cold fountain Coke's that was just so good. It really hit different. I ordered water as per usual because I try to not drink soda too much, especially while I eat, but hubby mentioned how good it was so, of course I had to try it. He was right. Very good indeed. If you are in the area, don't miss out on this lil restaurant. You will not be disappointed! The only negative thing I can say is they are only open until 3pm on weekdays and only until 2pm on the weekends. Guess that's a good complaint though. LOL Sure wish they were open for dinner too b/c we'd really be eating here a lot!!
