I had cataract surgery last March which corrected my distance vision. The downside is that I now require readers. In addition, for my part-time job, I work on a computer in a public place so I need bi-focals. Unfortunately, I lost one of the lenses and the frames are damaged. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment. I was there early for my time. I filled out some paperwork and was ready to go when Dr Brook Vastis called me in. We talked about my transition to her practice and my vision needs. Mainly to get an exam to provide to my PCP, replacement bi-focal lenses and frames. The office environment is professional and functional. The Reception process was smooth and easy. While I was waiting I noticed there were two ladies that were talking to patients about their frame selections. They have a lot of premium choices, Maui Jim, Lilly Pulitzer, State Optical, Barton Perreira, Lafont of Paris,Ernia O of Barcelona, Silhouette, Ovo Optics, Modo, Morel and Kate Spade to name a few. I met with a lady named Jessie to talk about selecting frames and lenses and completing my order. She was very professional, friendly and helpful. I was pleased my insurance covered a large percentage of the overall costs. While changing medical providers can sometimes be anxious and stressful, this was not one of them.

Figured I would go here as I looked up IN NETWORK providers in my area. None of what this place does is transparent. I asked for a simple updated Rx for my glasses and contacts. They scammed me into taking pupil dilation (which i told them I didnt want) only to turn around and make up some fake story about how I "might" have Astigmatism. Only to put me in trial contacts fit for Astigmatism and THEY HURT MY EYES. Clearly meaning I do not have astigmatism. LIES LIES and more LIES. So what should have been a $15 visit ended up being a $140 visit because they decided to code the charges as if I have astigmatism so they could say "look we put him in the fancy contact lenses, he just didnt like them." Oh and to top it all off, the script they gave me when I left was incomplete so when i went to order contacts at Costco a week later, they wouldnt complete the order because there was missing information. And doctors wonder why no one trusts them anymore after Covid...this is why!! Read the room Doc, maybe try giving a shit about your patients for once and not treating people like cattle you shuffle through your door so you can buy another beach house.

The most caring and knowledgeable eye doctor I've seen…read more I had been previously diagnosed with mild astigmatism. Another eye doctor that I later saw in Charlotte failed to diagnose it, and when I brought up the earlier diagnosis, dismissed my concerns. Dr. David Au correctly diagnosed my astigmatism - there was a noticeable difference between the normal and astigmatism lens - and I'm glad to be finally able to get the lens I need. Dr. Au answered all my questions and showed me a protocol for referring contact lens prescriptions - quite refreshing compared to other eye docs I've seen that were less transparent and steered me towards one particular brand (that I wonder if they were receiving some form of kickbacks on). Thank you Dr. Au for being an kind, thorough, and ethical doctor. I will be a regular here.

The problem wasn't the manufacture, Dr. Burt got my prescription wrong. Finally, the fourth pair were correct. This was the second time Dr. Burt messed up a prescription. The year before my daughter's glasses were wrong. One mistake can be forgiven but two of the similar nature is a deal breaker. Our vision is too precious to have multiple mistakes. Every staff member at Providence eye is genuinely warm and caring but most importantly knowledgeable. The communication between staff members is fantastic-making the patient experience much easier. I felt so comfortable knowing that everyone was on the same page. Despite the fairly simple pre and post op instructions they were repeated to me just the right amount of times, in writing and in person. I was made to feel completely comfortable to ask any questions at all! Dr. Mozayeni was friendly, warm, informative, very detail oriented and thorough. He didn't try to sell me on Lasik, but rather educated me and was informative about my options. During the actual procedure, I thought I would be very nervous, but with Dr. Mozayeni and is fabulous tech Sara by my side, I was surprisingly comfortable and confident.
