What a wonderful French bakery. The selection was impressive, with so many delicious pastries and…read moretreats to choose from that it was difficult to decide what to take home. The cinnamon pecan Danish was absolutely perfect for breakfast, with just the right balance of sweetness and flavor. I'm already looking forward to returning to try even more items. I also picked up an éclair for later this evening and can't wait to enjoy it. Based on everything I've tried so far, I'm sure it will be just as delicious. This bakery has quickly become a place I plan to visit again and again.

From outside, I saw full of patrons ordering their food and beverage. Our expectation went high! Bought: - Plain croissant - Plain Beignet with Sugar - Canelé - Lemon Meringue Tarte - Pear Almond Tart - Opera Croissant was good, nothing outstanding, nothing lacking. BUT! $3.25 for this quality is super reasonable, I should be feeling blessed! (I know other places charge us over $5 in spite of their mediocre quality.) Beignet is like a donut. Flurry, not too sweet, a tad dry. Canele was very disappointing. The outer had a nice bitter taste but not crunchy (it should be crunchy) rather, sticky soft... Interior had a large air pocket, which I feel is a structural defect. Lemon Meringue Tart - each part (meringue, lemon custard, tart base) was good, but integration was not. Tart base was too hard for the other super soft filling. Opera was surprisingly good. Although its looks did not have the precision that I expect for opera cake, it had very delicate layers. Almond cake base, smooth chocolate ganache, coffee butter cream, crispy top layer, and detectable rum kick. I liked it. Nice texture as well. I regretted not buying tart tartan - because many people seem to like it. Also sourdough - I think I should come back to try these :) !!!!

We got one regular lamprais and she made a veggie one specially for my partner that is vegan and tolerates less spice than myself (I've got a Sri Lankan trained tongue, so I always go extra spicy). The traditional lamprais had all of the parts, though maybe a few slight deviations from what you might have back in Sri Lanka. Overall the lamprias came together very well and tasted great. The Sambal Belacan was modified but very tasty and the eggplant was perhaps a tad sweet. That's part of the experience though, every place makes theirs a bit differently and it is for you to try out and discover the one you like best. Certainly give there's a try. Besides the lamprais, we got some buns, rolls, and other small eats which all tasted exactly how they should. Looking forward to visiting them again.

So I stopped by on a Thursday mid-afternoon to buy a vegetarian Kothu Roti ($5). It was rightly spiced (I asked for mild) and very flavourful. When I inquired about their Lamprais, I learned they are available on weekends and can be ordered as Classical (meat) or veggie version. I couldn't help but to try their veggie Samosas (4/$1) and the courteous lady asked if I would like samosa as well as patties(also 4/$1) and also gave me one extra as this was my first visit to their restaurant. Overall, I was impressed by their food and service. Will visit again.
