Almost immediately she recognized that his reactivity stems from uncertainty and fear. She helped strengthen my dog's obedience in a way that went far beyond basic commands, especially teaching him to hold a down/stay calmly until being released with "free," even around distractions. What stood out most was how much clearer and more structured my dog is now. He thrives with guidance, and the foundation she built has given me the tools to continue working with him confidently. She was honest about his discomfort around other dogs and focused on keeping interactions safe and successful, which I truly appreciate. The dog had a double ear infection and was on antibiotics…read more When she brought the dog to my house she didn't bring his medicine and when I sent her a text she told she would be out of town for a few days and would bring by his pills. 3 days later I just called the vet and refilled the RX. SHE NEVER ANSWERED MY TEXT. I had the dog on a trial run and was able to clear up one ear. I signed the paperwork and paid $300 for him. She gave me no paperwork.. No rabies cert, no info of what he's been through since she's had him..nothing. I have tried to contact her several times and she continues to ignore me. While searching Facebook I came across two go fund me accounts she set up in January 2015 where she collected money for surgery for my dogs ears and she NEVER even did the surgery!! She never even told me he needed surgery. BEWARE she is a scammer and she sold me a very sick dog. My heart breaks for him even writing this. I hope she doesn't do this to anyone else. I'm very angry at Felicia for selling me a sick dog and for putting me and my children through heartache with him. We had him for 4 months and we loved him a lot. We ended up having to put him to sleep because our dr said he was in so much pain and his ears were so bad.

First of all, I am always terrified to leave Felix (10 year old Siamese) as he gets destructive and enjoys shredding furniture, blinds, drapes etc. I moved here during the pandemic and was thrilled to have a referral for Him. Chanel is very professional, I asked her to come by and meet him as well as get the run down in the house. I was confident and pleased with our visit. She was great about sending me cute Felix updates and photos. And the best part, Felix was happy to have her company and did not terrorize the house. She is very respectful and took care to make sure my house was in the same condition that she found it. I have hired her again, since then. We took a vacation to Hawaii this summer and while we were there, we received a call from our pet…read moresitter that our little terrier Baxter developed a severe limp. When we got back, sure enough, he wasn't putting any weight on his back left leg. We took him to our Vet in San Jose and they referred us to a specialist locally. The prognosis was that he tore his ACL and needed surgery. They quoted us a price high enough for us to want to get a 2nd opinion. We reached out to our dog friends and one of them recommended Veterinary referral Surgical in Petaluma. Well, it just so happens that my wife is from Petaluma and has family there, so we called them up and they quoted a much better price, but more importantly, they really seemed to care about the situation. We scheduled the surgery and everything went very smoothly. They even cleaned his teeth while he was knocked out for us. We were able to take him back for his follow up visits and Dr. Gurevitch was always able to alleviate our constant fears of re-aggrevating his injury. Fast forward a few months and he's completely back to normal as if nothing ever happened. Just a really convenient and great place that really cares about their patients. Fair price, great service. Totally worth the drive for us.

Everyone in the office is very warm and caring which absolutely was NOT true of a couple of the other places we called for consultations before ultimately deciding to go with Dr. Russ. The kicker too was that the cost was significantly lower (by several hundred dollars) than some of the other facilities that we could have gone with. Warm, caring service and the best prices too? Yes please! Their office also accepts Care Credit so you don't have to skip meals to pay for your animal's care. We got set up on a year long interest free plan which helped us to take care of Milou without strapping ourselves financially. Obviously we all hope that our furry family members never need surgery but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Russ to anyone that is looking for a quality surgeon at a reasonable price for that type of work.
