Enchilada soup
Tom K.

Went to Poor Richard's for dinner.my son and I started with an order of garlic cheese curds. They absolutely rocked. Next for me a side salad with homemade ranch dressing. The ranch is hands down the best ranch dressing I have ever had. My son had enchilada soup served with corn chips . He said it was slightly spicy and delicious. My entree was the big fish sandwich. It was very crispy on the outside tender and well seasoned on the inside. My son had the big burger which was great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and had our order served quickly and actuate. The atmosphere is sports bar. The food and service was top notch.

It's a bar with tasty wings. IMHO the wings could be crispier but it's all about the wing sauce. It's very good. You can tell it's handmade sauce and it's yummy. If you are in the area this is a great spot for wings!

House Salad

The wings were pretty solid. The highlight of the meal was the house made ranch! I'm a blue cheese guy but next time I will get the ranch with the wings. I may even try them trashed and re sauced

FBAG is a true neighborhood gem. They serve the best hot wings in St. Louis, and it's honestly not…read moreeven close. I get them trashed and tossed in lemon pepper + buffalo which are indescribably delicious together. The wings check every box: great size, perfectly cooked and crispy, excellent sauce and seasoning, and most impressively, consistent quality every single time I've ordered them. That kind of consistency, especially in a place that is always busy, says a lot. On top of that, the service has always been great, the bar and beer selection is solid, the food is very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere delivers exactly what you want from a neighborhood pub. The only real downside is the limited indoor space, but when the weather is nice, the patio nearly doubles the seating. So it is really only an issue on those nights when the weather is bad and everyone in the neighborhood has the same idea you do: wings and cold beer.

What makes a sports/local bar stand out? In my opinion it's local, has great food, fun vibe and…read moregreat cocktails! FBAG, the name used by locals, hits the mark on all counts! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Sports fans watching football on the many screens provided and people just gathering for trashed wings and beer. Sometimes simplicity equals comfort. That's how you'll feel, especially if Chuck the owner is checking in with everyone to make sure the food is good and they are having a good time. The menu is huge with a lot of options, but they are known for their trashed wings (be patient they take a little time to prepare). The fried green beans are so good and salads are huge and delicious. Everyone can find a favorite here. The vibe is local fun. Nothing fancy, nor needed. With a great staff you feel welcome to sit in the various areas inside at the bar, on the enclosed patio, or the outside seating weather permitting. Live bands in the summer- check the website. Great for families! Be prepared to be patient with the service. They do their best, but sometimes the food takes a while to come out of the kitchen.

My husband and I ate here on a Friday night. The atmosphere was not great - it felt like it should be a nicer interior especially for the prices. The tables seemed like plastic card tables with tablecloth on them and the lighting was really dim, with fluorescent lighting. We were sat in a corner that was crammed too close by another table and unfortunately I was bumped into more than a few times - it was hard to get in and out of too. My husband ordered the burger and fries and I ordered a steak. We both ordered our dishes medium but they came well done. They took my steak back and made another, but it took a long time. By the time it returned, his dish was cold. They also didn't ask if his burger was cooked right so he just ate it. My sides were green beans (good) and baked potato (just okay) and it came with a caesar salad (too much dressing). Service left some to be desired. There are lots of food runners and water fillers, it seems, but we didn't see our server a lot nor was my water ever refilled. We had to ask for bread and had to wait awhile for it, as well. The prices especially for steaks are high. I got a 6oz sirloin I believe for $39. With my husbands burger, two waters (no drinks), tax and tip it was a $70 meal. Nothing offered for our delays, incorrectly cooked entrees, etc. Bummer that a nearby, locally owned spot didn't work as we love to support local when we can. If they could elevate some of the above mentioned components to match their prices and provide more consistent quality of dishes, that would vastly help!

I discovered, The Lounge because I arrived super early for a wine tasting at another business in the plaza. My friend and I were immediately won over, when we saw the bar dog. Her name is, Lucy. I liked that the front window is tinted so you cannot see in, but once inside you can clearly see the outside. If you like to play slots while you sip your inexpensive cocktail, The Lounge has about 4 or 6 machines for you to play. If you do, good luck. Best of all, the drinks are super affordable aka "cheap". The bartender was friendly to us being newcomers. Seeing the rest of the patrons at the bar and every stool was full, you could tell they were regulars at this neighborhood watering hole. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely stop by for a cocktail.

There is a generously sized bar and with a few high top tables along the side wall. There are several slot machines if you're interested in trying your luck! The bar offers your standard fare of beer, wine, mixed drinks and shots. They offer a few prepackaged snacks including chips and nuts. We were able to order a small pizza. They offer the Dog Town frozen pizzas. These are among my favorite pizzas. And it paired well with the ice cold beer. Our bartender was friendly and made sure we were taken care of.
