These guys are efficient and prompt. And reasonably priced. While we were vacationing in Texas, someone tried to break into my used SUV. The locks were jimmied. So, my partner couldn't even insert his key to open the door. So, we needed someone to open the SUV so we could drive it to a shop. So, upon the recommendation of another locksmith, who was charging higher, we called Pop-A-Lock. Told us that they'll be there within an hour and the whole service would be $49 bucks. Came in and did the job and left. All less than 10 minutes. Simple and efficient. Of course, it cost us a pretty Ulysses Grant. read more

I'm really surprised at the lack of customer service and the bad business practice. I've used pop-a-lock in savannah, GA and had a great experience. So it was a no brainier to use them to change the locks on my home in Baltimore. I'm in the military and stationed in GA and needed to get my home rekeyed after the tenant moved out. I was promised a call back 3 times and never received 1. Not sure why there are no repercussions for this but the customer service rep on the 3rd call advised that she sent a message and there is nothing else she could do, if he didn't call me. That's a shame and that's a poor business practice to have. read more

We dropped in today when Home Depot was unable to make a certain key, within minutes we were out on our way with two copies of the key. Unsure they would work because of the unique quality of the key, the owner guaranteed that we could come back to get a new copy if they didn't work. This was not needed as they worked great! The staff was friendly and helpful. I would call them in a minute if I ever needed another key or was locked out! read more

I've now used this company twice to fix doors within a company building. Both times, they have responded efficiently, and respectfully, responding within the hour that I called them. I waited over 2 hours for them to come after they told me it would only take them 30 minutes to get to me. I will never use them again. No one has time like that to waste. I had a residential lock out situation this weekend during a pretty bad ice storm and Pop-A-Lock was wonderful. They came during an ice storm within 2.5 hours (given the weather that wasn't that bad, but wish it could have been quicker) and the tech was very efficient, polite, helpful. He unlocked my door quickly and the credit card payment was also very quick and efficient including a paper receipt of my service. I called a number of places on Sunday and most of them wouldn't give me pricing over the phone and wouldn't give me any details of their business...all of this seemed so shady and I was nervous of a scam. Pop-A-lock on the other hand was very professional on the phone, quoted me a price for my situation and charged me that same price, sent a tech that could do the work and did it all very professionally. The tech even wears a Pop-A-Lock uniform with a bright orange jacket with the logo on it. They verified my ID and show me their ID. Recommended for sure! read more

I drove to this location and looked around for about 10minutes to only find out that they don't have a location here. I called one of their numbers and the person who answered simply recommended me to someone else (45mins away), he didn't even ask any questions. Waited an hour for the locksmith to call me back after he was dispatched, and he tells me that he won't service my location because it's on a military installation and he has to go through inspection. "Sorry, they should have told you." Well, yes, they should have, shouldn't they? Lost my business forever. read more

WORST customer service EVER!!!! This was not an emergency, I just needed a additional transponder key made for my car. I called on a Thursday, explained what I needed - gave them make model and Year of my car. They said someone would call me back. Within 15 minutes I got a call back - I explained I wasn't locked out or anything I just needed another key made - they made an appointment to come to my home on Saturday at 11:00 am. I reconfirmed the make model and Year. On Saturday I waited ... and waited - 11:00 am came and went... at 11:30 I called and they said they knew I had an appointment but early morning emergency calls were being dealt with. They apologized - confirmed the technicians location and said that he would be calling me to confirm arrival within 30 minutes. (At this point I'm thinking to myself ..."why make an appointment if I'm just going to be put in a triage queue?). But ok, things happen. I waited until 1:00 pm ... no call, nor technician. I called main number again - talked to the same agent - she put me on hold while she called the technician. She said he would call me in 5 min. 20 minutes later STILL NO CALL. I called main number again, got a new operator - explained my situation, after a brief hold he came back and said "ma'am I don't know why he didn't call you but we don't have that key in stock." I'm afraid this poor operator took the brunt of my ire ... my apologies but I just sat in my house for 3 hours waiting for NOTHING. He apologized profusely and said the tech indicates that I made the appt and that I told him I had a key. I MADE THE APPOINTMENT BECAUSE HE TOLD ME TO!!!! Apologies in abundance and was told that a Complaint would be filed with his manager and I would get a phone call.... guess what? No phone call. I am now sitting at a dealers service paying out a premium for a new key... should have done this in the first place. I sincerely hope that people with real emergencies get better service! read more
