This place has a little bit of everything but I mainly came for the ice cream. They had banana and banana nut so I chose 1 scoop of banana nut and 1 scoop of blackberry cream cheese. I also added coffee with almonds (single scoop) and a small watermelon aqua fresca. Our group enjoyed everything we ordered as they make pretty much everything in house, which is why the back area is so large and enclosed so you can't see it. While you wait for your food/dessert to come out there are a handful of video games to play for free. I will have to say the banana ice cream was noticeably homemade and has very little cream in it. It's more icy than it is sweet with a slight hint of banana. The service here is pretty friendly, and the only complaint I really had was the fact that they don't put out napkins. read more

Wow!! Great snack place. I tried the Chamoy Sorbet which was delicious. Sweet and spicy with a hint of lime. The drive through can get busy but they have the option of ordering online and curbside pickup. Unfortunately the inside is being remodeled and is closed for now. Highly recommend! read more

Love this place! When they first opened my family and I would come here at least twice a week. Now every time we are in town we make it our "must stop". I love their milkshakes and my favorite is their coffee flavored one with a dash of cinnamon. They have a variety of ice cream flavors and gelato. I have yet come across a flavor I didn't like. Their popsicles are very flavorful and they have small ones so you can try all of the flavors (great to dip in vodka!). Their popsicles always taste great (other places sometimes taste like freezer burn) and it seems like everything is pretty much freshly made. Great little place to sit with your friends and have a cup of Joe or a few scoops of a great verity of ice creams, or popsicles. It's got a great corner with couches to chill on or the typical chairs and tables at cafe's. It's open real early if you wanna stop by for your morning coffee and it closes late enough in case you have one of those cravings after dinner and you just need something sweet. We stumbled into this gem when we went to South Padre Island for vacation over the summer. I'm glad we found it when we first arrived because we went back almost every night. Between my entire family, we basically tried one of everything and it was outstanding. The flavors were clean and intense, not overly sweet or bland. Prices are also cheap and they have a large variety of items to suit your needs. It's a family establishment and you can tell, the service was great. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mario and he even gave me freebies for my bday, I couldn't have been more pleased. We're 15hrs away so sadly we won't be visiting soon but boy do we miss it! We love Popeii so much! The ice creams and gelatos are homemade and some of the most amazing we've ever tasted. Blackberry with cream cheese is definitely my favorite! It used to be awesome. The ice cream cones, as well as the banana splits, were both inexpensive and very well served. Now the cones' price has gone up, and it would be justified if it had the same amount of ice cream, but they're smaller than ever. The banana splits are not what they used to be: well served and with a good amount of syrup, sprinkles and pecans. Don't get me wrong, they're still good, but the sizing went down and the prices went up. Also, the employees are not as friendly as they used to be. read more
