I'm a true GenXer & Sanrio was a huge part of growing up. I remember saving up all my allowance just to buy a few stickers, pencils, pencil cases, wallets, some stationary, maybe even a lunch box. It was HUGE to finally be able to buy any at all. My allowance was $0.25 a day and if I got lucky, my grandparents gave me extra or birthday fund. My friends and I would exchange Sanrio goods and it was fun & memorable. To this day, I have fond memories with Sanrio items. Here I am now, having trouble NOT buying everything my heart desires. Lord knows I certainly don't need anymore "things". But let's be honest, I shall , I will and I did lol. It has to be useful. So I bought a couple of T-shirts. I love t-shirts and I always wear my favorites depending on what mood I'm feeling that particular day. If I'm feeling spicy, I wear my shirts that project exactly that! It's the one that says "Good morning, mother cluckers!" My rooster shirt from Kauai The staff are super friendly & happily answered my questions. I signed up to receive the promo, each shirt was $11.99 but it's 2 for $20, score! Got Peanuts plus Hello Kitty & Friends. I might return to convince myself to NOT buy the Snoopy travel/make-up kit, hint hint. It's dangerous to live so close to these types of places, I'm gonna run out of space to hide them from my husband lol Shared, free parking, underground parking available. I have to go back!!

It originated in Guangzhou, China. This is located in a small plaza on Rosemead and Las Tunas in Temple City. It has a wide variety of products at an affordable price. Beyond all of the great custom builds and displays that give the store almost a museum/history lesson vibe, there is so much space to move around the store that even when it's crowded, you don't feel it. However, even with all of the open space in the center of the store, their inventory is great. How they're able to cram so much into this space and not feel cramped is amazing. Staff here is as fantastic as you've come to expect from any Lego Store. They're ready to bend over backwards to help you out, just have a friendly chat, or whatever. You can tell they want to be there. It's more than just a job for them. This all just comes together for such a great shopping experience. This store should be visited by any Lego fan in the area (or one who's just traveling through)

They got some Winnie the Pooh that my wife loves, but Stitch has most items here, which is good for me but also bad for me. I love their small box collectibles sections. You can buy their mystery pack and get good stuff from them, especially from their Stitch, but it can be pricey at $24 but is still cute to collect. They often have good deals, so it is good to keep an eye on that, and they have lots of plushies in the back of all types of characters. This is one of my favorite places to visit each time I drop by the mall.

It looks like some people have not had a good experience here with the quality and inconsistency of pricing, so double check with online sources and know the value of the items that you're collecting (but that goes with everything to be honest).

They have a wide selection and it's very spacious. I found a few cute Funko that caught my eyes and bought three to get the deal. The cashiers were friendly and had a good conversation with my kids about movies. Also, I got to witness my kids trade pins with the cashier. This is a fun and cute place to shop at.

My girlfriend and I have been consistent, long-term customers at this location for over a year…read more We've spent well over $1,000 here in total, including more than $250 during our visit today alone. At checkout, we attempted to redeem a completed stamp card for the $5 discount offered by the store. The owner refused to honor the card, stating it was invalid because it did not have a staff signature. The card itself was issued by this shop, and it appears a staff member simply forgot to sign it. Despite this, the owner would not accept it and spoke to us in a way that made us feel as though we were being accused of trying to cheat or steal over $5. As long-time, regular customers, this was extremely disappointing and unnecessary. We would never risk our integrity over such a small discount, and it was upsetting that our loyalty and history with the store were completely disregarded. The shop does carry some cute items, but the customer service--particularly in how this situation was handled--left us feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and unwelcome. If you value respectful customer service and being treated with basic trust, this may not be the place for you.

I guess if you can't find it at 528 straight across, you can try to find it here. Lots of blind box goods on display and you can get accessories for them too. They also have a DIY station in the back for customizing goods like many of the other DIY arts and crafts that you see nowadays (oshikatsu storage, cases, frames) and they even have acrylic stick on nails here too. They have stickers and lots of strange and cute unique keychains (not from characters or franchises that I recognize so they may be OC's), but aside from the Pop Mart original characters they also have some licenses goods here like the wall of One Piece goods. It's not really my cup of tea, but quick place to grab a gift if you know someone who enjoys this stuff and don't wanna venture into a Pop Mart.

The books in the front are more with pop culture and famous books that maybe considered for the "coffee table" books. Also in the front , are the stationary items, cute Knick-knacks and some blind boxes. The Japanese light novels & manga section was larger vs the Arcadia location. Plus there was surplus amount of certain mangas that are currently popular to ensure enough is in stock. In general, I find these books very decently priced. I have , in the past, asked them for a particular book if they have in stock, they'll check to see if they have it or not or will direct me to where it is in the store.

I know it's great to support local stores, but I do wish they were a bit more competitive with pricing, if a book is only 10% more expensive here and I'm in the area, sure I'll buy it at Kinokuniya, but when the same exact book brand new is 40% cheaper on Amazon, I can't justify the purchase. It would be cool if membership allowed for price matching. Overall, this is probably the best Japanese book/manga shop you can find aside from the Book Off in Gardena.
