I saw an influencer post about Pop's and I have been nonstop thinking about what she was eating since I saw her post in early December! I had an opportunity to go today so I seized the moment! She ordered tuna on an everything bagel with lettuce and tomato, bagel not toasted. Comes with a pickle and small sode salad, so I got exactly that, what a great meal! Soooo, the wife & I just moved to the neighborhood. Quite honestly, the food around here is pretty lame. It's better to just cook at home. One that came close to having some taste failed miserably in portion. They charged regular price for kids meal portion. Pop's bagel shop? Took me by surprise. I didn't have any high hopes, but they were pretty darn good. The staff was about business but respectful. Courteous & polite. We ordered chicken tenders, fries & two chicken cheese steak sandwiches. Everything down to the complimentary potato salad delivered. The items were worth the price & hands down it has been the best tasting food here thus far. Why take away one star? I feel this area doesn't have too many amazing bagel shops, but Pop's stands out. The location literally does stand out since it's in the middle of two roads. An older bagel shop with friendly service that is serving more than average quality bagels. I got a a breakfast sandwich (bacon egg cheese), but was not thrilled with the bacon. It was a little "gumy" and not crispy/melty if that makes sense. Other than that, the area is lucky to have a nice bagel shop like this. I would return. read more

Pop's has the best variety of bagels in the area and an excellent a selection of sandwiches, wraps, and egg dishes. The bagels are coated on both sides, like they should be (unlike Dunkin and Panera). I felt that they were a bit less chewy than I expect from a good NJ bagel, so maybe the flour they use is lower in gluten than others. read more

I really was excited about this place opening and couldn't wait to try it out. I went on a Sunday with my husband and two kids. People were standing everywhere, so it took forever to get our order in. Then we were told to go to the other side of the restaurant and find a seat. We had to clean a table ourselves even though there was only one other family in the whole dining room. About 15 minutes later our food finally came out (which I felt was a long wait when we're talking about things like a bagel with cream cheese). The bagels came out way over-toasted. My daughter couldn't even bite into hers. It was a very unenjoyable experience, so then we were trying to figure out how to pay so we could leave. Turns out I had to wait on the line amongst the chaos AGAIN. I get to the register and the gentleman (who was very nice, by the way) says "okay, what did you get today?" And proceeds to ring me up. Why I couldn't just pay when they took the order is beyond me. I think this place needs to really work some major kinks out before I would give them another chance. read more

Pop's has been great! Customer service has been good the few times I've been. I've gotten breakfast sandwiches on bagels, on sandwiches, and I've gotten subs. I've enjoyed them all. I don't know why or how someone paid $15.63 for one bagel w/cream cheese and an iced tea. I paid $22 for 4 breakfast sandwiches (two on bagels and two with steak) and a tea. Average price to me. I'm so happy this place opened up! They are very friendly and welcoming here. I should ask for the guy who always takes my order's name, but he really is so nice. Just like everyone else in the area I was so excited for this bagel shop to open. My first visit I asked for a whole wheat bagel and got a whole wheat everything. Today I asked for a toasted onion bagel with out of cream cheese and got an onion bagel not toasted with plain cream cheese and was charged more for a flavored cream cheese. Really like this place. Around here bagels are all pretty much the same. It's pretty hard to get a bad one. I go to Pop's because of the people that run it. They're always friendly, they make an extra effort to make sure you order's correct, and if anything is wrong they do what needs doing to make it right. read more

We've been here maybe 12 times since they've opened and we really enjoy the fresh made bagels. One critic I have is that the staff does not know the menu well. It's the reason this is a 4 stars review instead of 5 stars. When we order and omelete we have to say it comes with home fries and toast otherwise it's just the omelete, same with the pancake platter we need to mention it comes with choice of meat. It can be pretty frustrating when placing the order and also paying because we have to make sure we aren't being charged for items that should be included. The prices are great, standard bagel prices. Staff is always pleasant and I really feel that the speed of the service has gotten better since the first week of opening. read more

My usual bagel place was extremely packed. I was in a rush to be somewhere so I decided to try Pops instead. Two everything with veggie cc and one plain with cc. ordering was a bit unorganized no one really directing the people but it's also due to social distancing craziness so I let that go. Service was very quick once I ordered, took my order and left. My kids and I bit into the bagels to discover they were wet dough and raw inside. My kids never met a bagel they didn't like and they spit this out and threw it right in the trash. Unfortunate first experience for us. My husband raves about their sandwiches and lunches so maybe I'll give them a go with lunch. However for bagels I'll stick to my tried and true spot less than a 1/4 mile up the road. read more

We are loyal Bagels on The Hill goers but thought we'd give this place a try. I ordered an everything with scallion cream cheese. They were out of everything. Ok no big deal so I got A sesame with scallion. While they were making orders I saw they had highly seasoned reddish in color seasoned chicken breast cooking on the grill.
