My parents live right up the street and we've been going here for years. It's a family owned place and they are a very sweet family. The bagels are usually good, but today we got subs to take with us to the beach and they are just awful. Writing this review pains me because I want to support them, but just stick to their bagels, don't get the subs. The bread is sooo dry. It tastes like a premade school sandwich or something. There is barely any meat in them and the bread is beyond stale. None of us can even get them down. The worst part of it all, each sub was like $11 or $12 and we can barely eat them. Best bagels in the area (and in general) and great selection of store made cream cheese. Spiciest cream cheese I've ever had. Prepared breakfast sandwich portions on the smaller side so I'd recommend ordering it with extra meat and extra egg. They really don't start pumping out bagels on weekend until 7 which is tough for an early family like mine. Hot sauce leaves a lot to be desired. Very friendly family operates the store. Good, fresh bagels. Generous bagel size. Went to buy 1 plain bagel, left with 4 because I wanted to taste some of the different kinds they had in the many baskets near the front counter. Tried the sun-dried tomato, multigrain and sesame varieties, and they all tasted very good. As one reviewer mentioned, the place is an odd space but gave me the impression the bagels might be made on premise, although the space looked small. The owner guy seemed nice and friendly. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with home fries and got all kinds of burned stuff in my food. It's like scraps of burned onion and meat that was left on the grill ended up in my container. For bagels and a variety of cream cheeses/spreads, there is NO better IMO. That includes some other well-known bagel shops in neighboring towns. Bagels are lightly crispy on the outside,, fluffy and light inside, and usually warm still because they are FRESH. The spreads, especially veggie cream cheese has no parallel in my experience. This place is so good and the family that owns is really friendly! ZERO STARS. I tried giving this place a few chances with time spread between but it is still consistently terrible. Stale bagels, old coffee, my Taylor ham was GREY, signs so faded they look like they came from the 80s...even my most indiscriminately hungover palate can't stomach what they call food. This place has great food as well as service. I have personally gotten to know this family run business and have nothing but good things to say about it. My family and I have ordered from here about 8 times and the 3 egg omelettes are delicious as well as the taylor ham egg and cheeses. His other foods like the Ruben and chicken panini are as equally appetizing. Every time I go into LVB the owner and his family are always so friendly and welcoming, and I know for a fact that he takes a lot of pride in his business. read more

The bagels are the most delicious i ever had BUT the nice man reuses the same glove over and over. He takes it off, puts it on the register and puts it back on to serve the next person. Out last trip he put my money on top of the glove and then gave me my change. What a shame. read more

Finally, great bagels in this area! They make them right there, so fresh and they are just like the bagels I grew up with on LI. Love their breakfast sandwiches, waffles and soups and they make great sandwiches too. Try the Jersey Shore cream cheese spread, it's gourmet lox spread. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more
