We are staying here in the plaza and got a little hungry and luckily there's this great pop-up pizza inside of the casino. Everything looked delicious. The customer service was great. I have not been to the Plaza for 6 years. I came here for a show and decided to try a few slices at Pop Up Pizza for dinner. It's easy to find. If you come in the south entrance from Main Street, it's right there. It's also right there when you come in from the garage. I went to the counter and checked out the pizzas that were available. I ordered a slice of Mike's hot pepperoni and a slice of creamy onion, spinach, and mushrooms. I also got a diet cola. You seat yourself and are called when the pizza is reheated. I was the only eat in customer at 5:30 so I sat where I could see the mural of New York and watch the counter. In a short time, One of the workers motioned to me letting me know my pizza was ready. Each slice was on a separate paper plate that had checkered paper covering it. Condiments and napkins are available at the counter where you pick up. I enjoyed both slices. I wish Mike's hot pepperoni had more pepperoni but it was still good. The creamy onion, spinach, and mushroom was my favorite. Plenty of mushrooms and tasty! Since this is at the end of the casino floor, it is a bit loud from the machine noise and the music that was played at an overly high volume. I wasn't super positive about the pepperoni slice I got here the last time I visited. On my most recent visit to the Plaza, I changed it up. The Suprema slice or pie is the way to go 100 percent. The menu describes it as follows: "fresh sauce, whole milk mozzarella, spicy Italian sausage, crispy pepperoni, capicola, roasted mushroom and roasted red peppers." It was the best pizza I've had in Vegas, and I've been to some really good places in town. One probably wouldn't visit Pop Up Pizza unless one is staying at the Plaza or one of the nearby hotels on Fremont Street, but if that's you it's worthy of consideration. Service wise, it's order at the counter and wait for them to call your number. It works. Ambience wise, it has nice enough seating, and there's always good people watching to be had. Just like the person before my review I as well experienced very rude service on 2/21 around 7pm, the black man with the hat and glasses who puts the pizza together got upset cause I asked for sausage on my pizza, he yelled out a cuss word when the cashier looked at him, 3 people who were after us got their whole pizzas first and I saw them hold and put mine last. After I got my pizza from the man with the glasses I said thank you and the man just said nothing, my pizza was just thrown in the box still partially sticking out and not closed all the way, everyone else's pizza boxes were closed correctly. If you're only paying $11 for two slices and a drink in Vegas, you've definitely hit the jackpot. Not only was the service quick and friendly and located in a convenient location downtown, they had a really good vegan option. The civilian style slices are thick, fluffy, and crispy and the vegan cheese they use is really good, didn't taste like the Daiya shreds I usually see at restaurants. The spinach, mushroom, and artichoke toppings were great and held up the next day. My wife was a big fan of the pepperoni and sausage pizza too. Would highly recommend giving Pop Up a try. read more
