Our server deserves a special mention. He was attentive without hovering, funny without trying too hard, and seemed to know everything there is to know about "all things Gaetano's." Great service always elevates a meal, and he certainly did. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Gaetano's. You can celebrate a special occasion in a sport coat or enjoy dinner in nice Vegas shorts and a Tommy Bahama shirt and feel equally at home. It's elegant without being pretentious. Oh... and did I mention the bread? Let's just say my plan to "eat light" ended the moment the bread basket hit the table. I blame Gaetano's entirely. If you're looking for consistently excellent Italian food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again, Gaetano's continues to be one of Las Vegas' gems. My husband went with the spicy Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, and he really enjoyed it. It had a nice kick without being overwhelming and was loaded with flavor. If you're expecting gourmet Italian cuisine, this isn't that. It's simply a solid place to grab a comforting bowl of noodles when you're in the mood for pasta.
