Got a green tea kit kat (green tea gelato with hazelnut or milk chocolate dip and white chocolate drizzle?) ($8) flavored popsicle here after getting dinner elsewhere in the Anaheim packing district. Now I will be transparent because I'm not 100% sure that I'm not biased because I had the munchies really bad when I was ordering and eating. Pros: - Honestly I know that this place is probably overhyped and was super popular on instagram in the late 2010s for its cute aesthetic, but I actually thought my popbar was SO. DELICIOUS. Especially on a warm day? ugh. I loved the pre-determined flavors of what I got and the fact that they have pre-set choices if you don't want to put effort into a build-your-own kind of deal was great. - Really fast and quick service - Lots of options and flavors for people to choose - As one of the main 2 dessert options in this food hall, not a bad choice. Surprisingly good. Cons: - sometimes the staff is busy prepping ingredients so you might have to call out for them to notice you're waiting. - A bit overpriced. I would have preferred to pay maybe $6.50 for this instead of a full $8. Nevertheless,....I'll probably be back. It was too delicious haha.
Located inside the Anaheim packing house which is decorated very well with a cool and natural ambiance. Staff was very patient as my kids argued to figure out what they wanted. Coconut Gelato 7/10 Pistachio on Pistachio 8/10 Strawberry Gelato with milk chocolate drizzle and ice cream cone 8/10 mango with chocolate drizzle 7/10 They have suggested combination creations and you can also make your own. It's $0.75 to add chocolate (either full dip, half dip, drizzle) and / or another $0.75 to add topping.
Popbar is great! It's the perfect dessert after eating at the packing house. It's the delicious ice cream The popsicles are made fresh with high quality ingredients, and the flavor options are endless. I love that you can customize your own pop with various dips and toppings. Unlimited toppings for a dollar or depends. They do double dip into melted dark, white and milk chocolate , chopped nuts... etc Friendly, efficient staff. Very difficulty finding free parking surrounding the Anaheim Packing House.
Surprisingly so good! I had no expectations going in. I saw that there was no line and thought "I wonder why it's not busy." But looks can be deceiving! This dessert bar was really good! I ordered the strawberry pocket, from the top combinations list. It was delicious! I loved the white chocolate drizzle and the crunch. Pretty genius combination of textures and flavors. I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie. I went with the peanut butter and chocolate. It was extremely rich. I liked how it was freshly baked and warm inside. This place was a hit 10/10
Popbar is located inside of the Anaheim Packing House. There is a lot of seating, and this is one of the only drink/dessert shops in the food hall. It's also the better boba option in the space. Personally, I found the strawberry lemonade to be very sweet, but also refreshing. It was ready less than five minutes after I ordered, though I did have to get staff attention to order.
I got a regular dark chocolate vanilla. I was trying to go for something simple, but for the $7 I thought it was overpriced. For the simple flavor I got it did not meet my expectations. I think you should get the more unique flavors if you do decide to grab sweets here! I've had friends get the Vietnamese coffee and it was much better. I love the option to customize the toppings. Service was quick and kind. It is indeed a pop up for some nice popsicle bars! The ambiance of the Packing District is wonderful to grab food with friends.
Finally reviewing Popbar Anaheim since yelp constantly reminds me that I have not done so yet. Lol...This is the spot for sweet loving folks that like hand crafted gelato or sorbetto on a stick. This one is located in the Anaheim Packing District. I first had a Popbar many years back when they used to be at Del Amo Mall in Torrance. I recall the tastiness of it. This time, I just opted for a simple pineapple gelato shake. Hubby got a chocolate/coffee Gelato shake.. Delicious! Customer service is OK and in the small space they occupy, they had seasonal decorations. When here again, I would probably get a Popbar for dessert.
I've never had a gelato bar before but this exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Green Tea KiKat without the white chocolate drizzle so basically a green tea gelato bar with a half milk chocolate drizzle covered in waffle cone bits. It tasted so good!! The green tea flavor was really prominent and the dip and waffle cone bits added a good texture to it. It was $7 which I think is a fair price. There was no one in line at about 12:30pm on a Sunday so it was really quick to get. Definitely a good sweet treat option at the Packing House!
It's about $7 dollars but definitely worth it. We ordered the pistachio with half and half dip (half white half caramel chocolate) and it tased refreshing and very natural. Waffles cone crunch added some really nice texture to the bar and nothing was overly sweet. We shared the bar and it was still enough for the two of us. They offer sherbet and gelato, two different types of base bar. The gelato one we tried wasn't the creamy cloying type, so it did go well with the extra toppings.
FOOD: $7 POPSICLE: Vietnamese coffee with dark chocolate drizzle and chocolate sprinkles. Mine definitely didn't look photogenic, should've went with the half dip. OVERALL: What bothers me is branding. Why do they keep changing container? Sometimes it's a really good quality cardboard container, sometimes it's a super flimsy white paper sheet. I ate my popsicle outside, so the white paper sheet kept blowing away - NOT IDEAL. I didn't think it was anything special.
I absolutely LOVE popbar! Back in 2015, popbar was THE THING to get and take pictures of because of the signature half dip and drizzle and ever since, it has been living in my head rent free! The last time I have had popbar was in 2018 at a mall location, so I was so excited to see it when I grabbed lunch at the Anaheim Packing District! They open a little later (12PM) than some of the other locations at the packing district (which opens at 11) but we timed it perfectly to eat lunch and then get it for dessert! We both got the hazelnut gelato with one being a customize your own and the other being the ferrero rocher combination! The gelato is smooth and I loved having a half dip with toppings (hazelnuts and waffle cone) on one side because I could still enjoy the gelato on its own! read more
Tell me why I've been to the Anaheim Packing District numerous times yet after all the Instagram posts I've seen of this place.. I have only tried PopBar once. Even I don't know the answer to that, but regardless.. the review is here and I am ready to talk about it. PopBar is definitely a must try if you're here. They have different types of ice pops - varying from their gelato pop, sorbet pop and yogurt pop. You can customize your own or you can check out their recommended menu and have the option to make it a little different if you'd like. Don't be intimated by line here as they move pretty quickly. I ordered the green tea Kit Kat, and it was very tasty! The only thing I would say is that the milk chocolate dip might be a little too sweet for me. If I ever come back, I might switch it to dark chocolate instead, otherwise.. this bar was great! I was pleasantly surprised with the texture of the plain bar itself cause it wasn't melting as I was eating it (which I'm sure anyone can appreciate if they don't wanna make a mess). The other two people I was with ordered the Ferrero Rocher and the Thai Tea pop. I had a piece of both and they were delicious as well! I'm very interested in trying their sorbet and yogurt pop so I might have to make another trip here to kill that curiosity. Definitely a great treat while you're walking around the different vendors in this establishment. read more
Huge selection of gelato on a stick bars with several chocolate dippings options (dark, milk and white), as well a nice assortment of toppings. I got the cookies & cream bar dipped in half milk and half white chocolate. Topped it off with hazelnuts, waffle bits, and crushed caramel corn. What an absoluteperfect knockout combo of flavors and textures! 100% would get again. read more
This is my second time here and I enjoy it each time. I got the strawberry sorbet pop which I love because it has a great balance of fruity and sweetness. I got a dark chocolate half dip with waffle cone toppings. My brother got a strawberry gelato pop with a milk chocolate half dip, waffle cone, and white chocolate drizzle. It's a convenient place to stop by for a quick dessert before leaving the packing house. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. read more

They're like gelato popsicles, it was pretty good! Definitely not icy, and tasted even better when it was slightly melted (so definitely say yes to the lil tray they give you!). Green tea flavor tasted strong and great. Dips and toppings are only 0.50 so absolutely any extra zing is worth it! I got the one with the chocolate cookie and oh yes it definitely made it better. The packing district is a cool area to visit and see with lotsa food options as well. read more
Ordered the gelatoshake! The price for this was kinda expensive because it was about $7 for a bottle of milkshake. It was a very cute milkshake with a small cone on top that was filled with whipped cream. The chocolate flavor was so rich and it tasted really good. It basically tasted like melted chocolate ice cream! It was delicious and I would definitely try different flavors next time! Overall, it's a cute dessert place and they have popsicles that you can customize too! read more
Popbar receives a lot of hype but I found it disappointing. The concept itself is super fun. You pick a flavor of gelato/sorbet popsicle, and you can choose to get it half-dipped or fully coated in milk, dark, or white chocolate. Then, you have a choice of which toppings you want (almonds, pistachios, coconut, etc). After all that, you can choose to have more chocolate drizzled on top. It's super cute and looks good for photos especially in the packing house, but as soon as you start eating, the chocolate starts to fall apart and you realize the flavor of the ice cream is underwhelming. They look better than they taste. For me, a small portioned bar with an "okay" taste isn't worth $6.00 and waiting in a long line. The workers are all very friendly, and give you plenty of suggestions if you're stuck when choosing your toppings. I think it's worth trying once, and hopefully you have a better experience than I did! read more

Let me keep this short and sweet, just like the life of these popsicles...good shit. Seriously though, Popbar is one of those places you've got to eat at least once if you come to the Anaheim Packing District. You can choose some of their popular pops or create your own. There's many flavors to choose from, white or milk chocolate, whether you want it half or full dipped, drizzled with style and you can even add nuts and toppings. Pretty cool to watch this work of art; you bet these desserts are photogenic. "Pics or it didn't happen." A bit pricey just for popsicles in my opinion, but still bomb though! read more

Popbar is a hipster popsicle place with a hefty price tag. I love their designs and all their popsicles are extremely tasty but is it really worth more than $5?!?? Popsicles: I usually get the green tea kit Kat popsicle which comes with the nuts and chocolate drizzle and it tastes exactly like the green tea kit kat. Today I tried the same combination but on the cookies and creme popsicle and it was amazing. I have tried many other random variations of flavors and they all ended up super good. For flavor I would give them a 9/10. However, their popsicles come with a steep price tag of $5 and some cents and it just doesn't feel worth it. Service: the workers here are really nice and helpful with suggestions of what works and doesn't. Ambience: popbar is located on the 2nd floor inside Anaheim Packing District so it has a hipster themed vibe. Their isn't many chairs near popbar but a long high table with some chairs facing the staircase. Overall, popbar fits well with the theme of the packing district and is something everyone should try once in their lives! read more

Refreshing desserts, friendly staff, easily accessible location! Normally you'd hear people say how Popbar is overhyped and not worth price but I'd say differently. I like Popbar because they were the first I'd seen on Instagram with those half-dipped ice cream popsicles. I also like them because they're one of the only dessert places in the Anaheim Packing District with dairy-free desserts. Food: Before I developed lactose intolerance, I would get the gelato, which was pretty good!~ Now I can only get the sorbet flavors and this most recent time I opted for the mixed fruit bar with mint dark chocolate (all the dark chocolate dipping sauce is dairy free) and pistachio and hazelnut topping. It tasted just like an acai bowl! Service: Service was great too. They're normally fast and there's hardly any line. If there was a line, it'd be handled quickly! Overall, I do enjoy Popbar and anyone that doesn't, probably isn't that fun at parties hahaha read more

Popbar is located in the Anaheim Packing House. It's a fairly small shop that sells frozen bars. The only thing good about Popbar is where it's located at. There's several of restaurants and bars inside of APH, so you can go on food adventure after or before Popbar. They have a variety of flavors that you can select from. Frozen treats from ice cream to frozen fruit gelato; And If you pick out one of their ice cream bars, you can add toppings onto it. I got the watermelon gelato and coconut flavored bar. I had added some nuts, coconut shavings and vanilla swirl onto the coconut bar. Let's just say these frozen treats looked a lot better than it tasted. If you were to ask me, you'd be better off getting ice cream from Han's which is also in APH. Better tasting dessert IMO for practically the same price. read more
Okay so if you're not familiar with Anaheim Packing District, here's a quick rundown: there are 4 different sections of restaurants within district. 2 smaller buildings/options, a 2 block area with separate restaurants, and The Packing House. The Packing House is one large building with a variety of restaurants inside. There is indoor seating, outdoor seating, or you can do take out. It's intended to be socially distant and capacity is limited but it does get pretty crowded so if you're nervous about COVID, you may want to wait until you get your vaccine to go. Okay so now that you get the gist: Popbar is my favorite dessert spot in the Packing House! They have a variety of popsicle flavors (mostly fruit flavors) and a surprisingly long menu for a dessert business. You can dip your popsicle in a variety of things: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. Then you can add toppings - my favorite is the waffle cone topping. It's a light dessert that just fills in the cracks after a big meal. I recommend giving Popbar a try! read more

Parking was kind of a pain since we stopped by on a weekend, we had to park down the street, kinda far. It was good! Nothing amazing. The chocolate dip is too thick in my opinion, I got it half dipped. Next time I'll probably get it drizzled. I also got waffle bits which added a nice crunch. Taste and all is average read more
Absolutely no reason why this place should be given the high rating it currently has right now. The thin gelato stick was extremely disappointing, but at least the price wasn't too bad. They allowed for a good amount of customization but it was just nothing special. The picture speaks for itself. The workers were nice though so +1 for that. read more
Shoutout to Erin :) super sweet and friendly Popbar associate! Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch-- hazelnut popGelato, half dipped in milk chocolate, almond topping, waffle cone topping. Yes, it's so delicious and satisfied my chocolate craving after a long and hot day. These summer heats are dying need of ice cream. I love Popbar and the price is about $5 which isn't expensive. The lines can be a long-- well avoid weekends and hot afternoon and you should be fine. :) Also make sure to get a stamp card so you'll able to get a free Popbar in the near future. read more

The product is awesome. My wife and I love this place. However, on more than one occasion now, we (the customer) feel like an imposition on the workers who've buried their faces in screens not asking if we need any help or have any questions as we are standing in front of their business. They seem to be more interested in their own dinner and screens than the actual customers. Again, eat their popsicles. Delicious. But the owners need to know that their employees are hurting their bottom line by not seeming to care much about customers. read more
I used to love this place because they had plain yogurt pop bar which makes a good combo with dark chocolate. However, they didn't have it today so my boyfriend and I ordered strawberry yogurt and pistachio and to be honest, they weren't like what we expected. We expected strawberry to be like sweet strawberry yogurt and pistachio to be more like... pistachio lol but, strawberry was kind of tasteless and pistachio was too rich. I would say it's just my personal opinion, my personal taste, so I'm pretty sure there may be others who would. Although we didn't really enjoy what we picked today, we will try other flavors later! read more
Located inside Anaheim Packing House. They serve yummy gelato. You can customize the toppings you want however much you want. I choose the hazelnut popbar and I chose the way they customized their hazelnut flavor. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place. They have so many flavors and toppings to choose from. It is alittle pricey for one I paid alittle over $6. Workers were very nice. read more
I never get to go to the Anaheim Packing House as much as I would like! But whenever I get the chance, I always get a popbar after eating there. I'll admit the price for this small ice cream bar is pretty ridiculous, but it sure does make for an aesthetically appealing picture. However, taste-wise this ice cream bar is still underwhelming. Despite all this, my favorite bar would have to be the green tea bar, half dipped in milk chocolate, covered in nuts and to finish it a white chocolate drizzle! If you're looking for a cheap dessert that will fill you up, maybe try another place? But if you want a nice picture of this ice cream bar in the Anaheim Packing House, then go and buy it! read more
People have been hyping Popbar up for years so I thought I would go give them a try. I was super disappointed. Since it's inside of the Anaheim packing district the lines are huge. Don't even get me started on the parking. The parking is a literal nightmare. If you can splurge for the valet service, definitely do it. It beats hunting for parking on the street. I ordered a pistachio bar dipped and drizzled in white chocolate, with chocolate sprinkles, and chopped almonds. Pistachio ice cream is one of my favorite flavors so I expected a lot from this bar. It didn't even taste like pistachios. The only thing I really tasted was the white Chocolate. That and the almonds were the best part of my bar. The ice cream itself was incredibly underwhelming. Save yourself the time, and money, and just get some Haagen-Dazs. read more
Expensive for what it is I mean this place is cute and all, but almost $6 for a small popsicle? I admit the flavors are nice and the toppings and drizzle are cute, but the serving is pretty small. Also, try to eat it soon after or else it turns into a melty mess. The workers were very nice and friendly. The location is on the second floor of the packing district. For my first Popbar experience I kept it really simple. Plain vanilla with a half milk chocolate dip and rainbow sprinkles. Very delicious and perfectly sweet. I really admire the consistency of this ice cream because it really is smooth and creamy and can still retain its shape. The ice cream was perfectly sweet and the presentation is beautiful. Where Popbar gets me is the price. Granted I messed up on getting such a basic bar, but almost $6 for an ice cream bar is pushing it. Next time, I'm going to make sure I try less common flavors and toppings. read more
Popbar is always a great way to end a trip to the packing house! I got lucky and came when the line wasn't long at all. Staff were friendly and didn't skimp out on the toppings. My absolute favorite flavor is the pistachio! Its creamy and rich with out being overly sweet. Half dipped in chocolate, with almond and coconuts sprinkled on top and a bit more sweetness and some texture as well. They have so many other flavors, I really do need to try more of then but the pistachio is just that good! read more

If you're influenced by instagram, please don't be disappointed. Get here early, preferably before dinner to get your popbar without the wait or the horrendous people equally holding up their customised popsicle in level with their phones. Overall on the actual product, the servers are really knowledgeable of flavours, toppings, and what looks photogenic for your next post haha read more
[SERVICE] All the workers are generally really nice whenever I visit. They all seem to know a lot about the different flavors and what ingredients are used in each bar. They take their time when it comes to the customer determining which toppings they went and put in effort when trying to make the ice cream nice. Overall, really enjoyed the staff at this location. [PARKING] Since this location is located at Anaheim Packing District, it may be really hard to get a parking spot depending on what day you are planning to visit and what time. The marketplace has a parking lot where you can park for free but it generally fills up really quick during busy hours. There are a few streets around the area that you can also park for free and if I remember correctly there's also valet here during certain hours. [FOOD] I remember when this place first opened the shock factor of the ice cream was incredible. I think it tasted a lot better back then because the concept was new and unique and had everyone dying to try it. Although the flavors and ice cream quality is still very similar to when they first started I don't think there is anything that special about the ice cream anymore. Despite that, the ice cream is still very good and tasty but I don't see myself going out of my way to come by or come frequently. [AESTHETIC] Since this place is located at the packing district, there are so many photo opportunities to be made. Additionally the ice creams themselves are pretty nice and well decorated. The ambiance of the entire marketplace is well decorated and is a nice place to come hang out with friends. It may get very crowded and loud at busy hours so beware! read more

Such a great concept located in the awesome Anaheim Packing District!! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were gelato and not ice cream bars, it's so cool how they keep their shape and the texture is so creamy and on point! I love the variety of flavors, it honestly made it so hard to choose! I went with the green tea gelato bar half dipped in dark chocolate covered in crushed waffle cone and drizzled with white chocolate. It was amazing! They have over 40 flavors that I would love to try. A few other ones that sounded good are: cookies and cream, coffee, and pistachio. It's an easy 4 step process: You choose your flavor, choose your toppings, and choose your chocolate dippings (milk, dark, white, mint chocolate, caramel dark chocolate) you can have it full dipped, half dipped or drizzled. Finally, enjoy and try not to eat it in 2 minutes. It's definitely worth a try, even though it is a bit overpriced. I would for sure recommend Popbar and will visit again next time I'm in the area! read more
When this place opened up at the packing house years ago it was always super busy! And it still is relatively. This store in located inside the packing house of Anaheim. You get in line and pick what kind of popsicle you want and you go ahead and start adding toppings to it. They look very nice when they are all done. You will see people taking pics with it since it looks very nice. In my opinion I love the concept of it and anything like this that makes it to social media is always very good. But it's just ok flavor wise. I have tried a bunch of different ones and they are all just good. I will still continue to go here but it's nothing that I will think about when I go home and crave at anytime. Therefore 3 stars seem about right in my opinion. read more
