    Candy galore!

The best popcorn and the best customer service from the owners and all the employees. Are you looking for hard to find candy? Sodas? They have that as well!

This incredible store transports you to a time where you could could walk to the corner store and get penny candy. What a magical time it was in our childhood! There is a wide variety from wall to wall as you are walking through the store you can't do anything but say ooo do you remember? Next thing you know, you are going down memory lane reminiscing of the good old days! They have been open for 8 years and give you free popcorn on your birthday and get this they even give you free popcorn on your half birthday!!! Great customer service, friendly staff and a trip down memory lane. I could not have asked for a better moment to step into a time machine! Go check them out!

Such a fun place! There are 170 flavors of popcorn (good luck choosing what to try first!), there's also candy galore and fun flavors of soda. We chose kettle corn, buttery, white cheddar, salted caramel and monkey farts (it's fruity and so good!). The girl that helped us was Madison and she was such a doll, giving us recommendations and answering questions like a pro. The location is weird with all of the highway construction, but if you're ever near the Forum I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a bag (or 3!)

Love going here and always have gotten great customer service. The guy at the counter (sorry for not ever catching his name!) is always super helpful with recommendations and even helped me find a favorite combo - Flaming Hot Cheetos with Dill Pickle. Such a fun place !

The service was phenomenal. I was able to sample a few items in order to select a truly great batch. With 170+ flavors, it can be difficult to narrow down your options. I selected a mini strawberry shortcake, a junior loaded baked potato, a junior chupacabra, and a small blueberry & cheesecake. I recommend to try those odd names and options, as for the chupacabra ended up being my savory favorite! Although they are known for their popcorn variety, they still had many other candy, chocolate, and brittle options; as well as traditional and specialty soda pop. The ambiance brought you back to a traditional old times candy shop, with many colors and flavors. Definitely a place to stop by if you have any sweet tooth cravings!

This place is a Treat Palace! So many different varieties of snacks and candies. The shelves were well organized and stocked, so it was easy to view everything and what is currently available. They even had jar of candy for self serve and they bag gets weighed. They had classic candies, a Large variety of soda pop drinks, new candies, candies for other countries, funny candies, pop culture candies. JUST SO MUCH TO SEE! The main reason we came was for the popcorn!! This place does a large variety of flavors, from sweet & salty to sweet & savory and spicy and they Make It Fresh to order and have different sizes. They even have some flavors prepared/pre-bagged. I'm pretty sure I saw a case with Fudge in it & they offer the Bavarian nuts as well. everything was decently priced and the popcorn and candy I did purchase. Everyone in the house loved. I wish there was on closer to me. But at least I have another reason to visit Texas again!

A "clearly stated" notice regarding credit card convenience fee charges of 4%.

Yikes! Sorry guys, updating the review! Popcorn here is great, and we have went to this place MANY times. Unfortunately, we noticed this last time, that they charge over $1 for a "credit card convenience fee". Hate to say this, but in 2020, credit cards are no longer a convenience. Taking back a couple of stars because this should be advertised, or, patrons should be made aware of this charge. Not sure how long this has been going on, but that fee racks up over time! If you want to avoid a needless fee, you might want to consider cash or even somewhere else. This has made us want to consider another popcorn place in Gruene for our future popcorn cravings.

    Extra Chicago!

Superb popcorn. So many choices we will have to back over and over ! Met the owner and because of him I will drive to his shop! You have loyal customers from now on.

This review is from a 40 year old grown man with a family of 4 in Atlanta, GA. This popcorn is hands down the best popcorn I've ever had in my life. It literally melts in your mouth with the most robust flavors to ever hit your gullet. If you don't eat this popcorn over others, you need to seriously rethink your life. I've actually lost weight and my complexion has cleared up because of this popcorn. I look down on people eating Orville Redenbacher's. I LOVE IT SO MUCH (so does my Doodle!)!!!!

Amazing Popcorn ~ the sweet aroma within was intoxicating ~ please look for an amazing review today

I used them for the popcorn bar for my wedding. We had Cheesecake, Spicy Queso, Churro and Dill Pickle. They were all a hit!

Walking in…read moreis a total sensory overload in the best way possible--rows of technicolor treats, piñatas hanging from the ceiling, and that iconic "Batman" guarding the aisles. The Layout & Vibe It is a massive warehouse-style shop filled with every kind of candy imaginable. They have a huge selection of American classics and imported Mexican favorites, but their homemade line is where they really shine. * The "Batman" Rule: You can't miss the life-sized Batman statue--just a heads-up that there's a "Do Not Touch" sign on him! * Organization: The shelves are packed with everything from bulk lollipops and "Glow Pops" to stacks of de la Rosa Mazapán. What to Grab * The Classics: You have to get the de la Rosa--it's a staple for a reason. * The "San Antonio" Specials: They are famous for their Chamoy pickles (look for the Big Tex Dill Pickle in Chamoy), Picositas belts, and those spicy tamarindo chili balls. * Party Needs: Beyond the candy, they have a ton of party supplies and authentic piñatas if you're prepping for an event. Pro-Tips for Your Visit * Parking: They have a dedicated customer parking lot, so you don't have to stress about finding a spot on the street. * Timing: They are open Monday-Saturday (9:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and Sunday (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM). * The "Sugar Rush": Be prepared to leave with way more than you planned. It's hard to say no when everything is so well-priced and unique! I have gone to locations on the East Coast as well as California, and those are full scale stores, often multiple stories with ceiling high statues of candy. Although this is merely a booth area, I loved the open air feel. Couple this with the service, I this one more than the one on The River Walk. The employees were very friendly. Aside from a few things not having been priced yet, they were operating efficiently & smoothly for day one. The prices here are admittedly higher than most stores, but I would advise seeing it more as an experience. There is also definitely far more selection and variety than The average candy store. One can always try for very little from the candy in the bins. Quality over quantity. The typical by the lb candy, the section with oversized everything, sushi candy, full sized pizza candy, then my favorite, Plush Yummy World Food! The story behind Yummy World is that they were originally designed by Heidi Kenney (http://www.mypapercrane.com) before being bought by KidRobot. I have loved her art for more than a decade, and only admired her even more after meeting her during a local art festival in her home state, Pennsylvania (the festival was in Philadelphia, she lives in nearby Waynesboro). Anyways, they have many of these plushes there! Adorable. Cheese Balls, Curly Fries, Fruit, and Tacos that last forever. Enough said.
