Disappointing Experience After Years of Loyalty We've been loyal customers of this place for many years, but unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely disappointing. For the first time ever, we received our food burned and tasting like it was a day old. The chicken was dry and hard--completely inedible. Even our guests didn't want to touch the checkers. I called to speak with a manager and explained the situation, noting that the chicken was tough and looked like it had been sitting out all day. The manager responded by saying the cook had been cooking all day, which didn't address the issue at all. I reminded her that we've been regulars and have never experienced anything like this. When she asked what I wanted, I simply requested a refund. She said she would have to speak with her manager, who ultimately declined. To support my complaint, I've included a photo of the chicken. I placed a mobile order that was supposed to be ready at 8:40 PM, yet I had to wait a full 30 minutes after arriving. The workers here are unbelievably slow, careless, and clearly more focused on arguing with each other than doing their jobs. It's obvious there is zero professionalism, zero urgency, and zero respect for customers. By the time I finally got my food, the quality was terrible -- completely not worth the wait. This location is a disaster from top to bottom. The staff needs to be retrained or replaced entirely, and management needs to step up or be removed. I've only gone through the drive thru but they forget atleast 1 item everytime. I need to be better about checking the food they give me before I leave cuz its the most annoying thing to have to come back. I went last Wednesday and ordered a 4 piece meal, extra rice and beans, 4 biscuits and 3 beignets and a 6 piece kids meal. They forgot my beignets and 4 biscuits so I had to go back. I did call them but the vm was full and the line never rung, which I thought was pretty odd. NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT. NOT MORE HIRES. I really like popeyes and was craving it today for a late dinner so i decide to be courteous and order online. I placed my order for a chicken sandwich and the 5 dollar box at 8:28. The time it takes for me to popeyes is around 17 minutes so i hope that's enough time. I pull up to the drive through and there's about 5 cars in front of me so I wait my turn. I sit in my car for nearly 10 mins and the line only moved once. I realize that i have an online order but i should be able to go into the lobby to pick it up so i park my car and head inside. I briefly read the hours and see that they close the lobby at 9. it was 8:58. Just enough to get myself into the door to pick up my food. Upon entering the lobby, i see about 5 customers waiting, all standing around the register. So i walk up and no greeting from who i assume was the manager. I stayed quiet for 15 secs and peep a "hi". I then tell her i ordered online and my order number and she proceeds to go through about 8 receipts in front of me, and all of them were incomplete online orders as well. she tells me that they ran out of the chicken filets for the sandwich so i'll be getting tenders for replacement. i was fine with that. and she told me to wait in the lobby and they will call out my order when it's done. i sat down and overheard other customers saying they have been waiting 45-60 mins for there orders. that is ridiculous. i sit in the lobby some more until it's probably 9:15. so i've joined the 45 min waiting group. the customers in front of me politely asked how much longer and the manager from the back yells "3 mins for spicy and 3 seconds for mild. the chicken has to cook. you guys have to be patient. it takes time" etc etc. the customers were all so patiently waiting and still the manager didn't think that was good enough. she was snapping at one girl for not finishing her tasks and her overall demeanor is very rude and uncomfortable. also, while i was sitting down waiting, there was a customer who needed to place an order. so the teen employee assists her with that. i saw that she actually got her order ahead of everybody else. online orders are customers too. and it totally wasn't the lady customers fault for that. i work at a fast food place and i would never allow a customer to wait over 10 minutes without viable reasons. there were AT LEAST 7 employees there so i'm sure the issue isn't cooking chicken or making orders but it's management. so many teenagers that just need a good manager to assist them. read more

Usually come here for lunch, sometimes for dinner on a blue moon. Food is always fresh, some items take a hot min to make. Staff is always direct and doesn't waste time. Can't complain about much because it's fast food y'all, these workers don't determine their prices nor do they have anything to do with your hungry ass. So be nice and get what you give. Pretty much the worst Popeyes to exist (like everyone else said). If there's an area to mess up, they've got it covered: subpar food, horrifically slow service, workers goofing off in the kitchen (you can see this ordering inside and at the takeout window), missing items in your order. I would recommend supporting other fried chicken spots like the local chain, Ezell's, just 5 minutes away or not eating fried chicken at all... at least then, you wouldn't leave being pissed and with crushing disappointment in your food. read more

Welp, I try to give this place a shot like once a year and it just never seems to work out. I pull up to the drive thru ordering system and right off the bat I see the LCD screen is busted like someone wailed a boulder into it, it's out of commission. It's a so Popeyes and it's so South Kentral. I should have just pulled away at that point but the gravitational pull of fried chicken pulled me back in against my will. I order the three piece strips with a red beans and rice side and a coke. It also comes with a biscuit. When I get to work I open the box to find three tiny strips, a small side of beans and rice and a hockey puck of a biscuit. A hockey puck might be softer actually. Everything tasted fine but the serving size for almost $15 is laughable. The kicker is this food eventually gave me more runs than Usain Bolt, which means the food somehow someway had a bacteria bloom in it from improper food handling procedures and practices. This store always sucks. Every few years iforgot they're so incapable AND rude and give them a try. I pull up go to order my usual blackened tenders. They say oh 10-15 min wait. Which is actually closer to 25-30 cause they park you and forget. So I say never mind I'll try the blackened sandwich. They say ok cool I say the combo with mac and cheese. She slams the window again. Comes back and hands me a duplicate receipt of my sale and says you got a refund. I said no this even says DUPLICATE on it. Mind you all this time I could have had my food. But she says my manager said she gave you a refund. I said now though she didn't ask for my card back? She slams the window again. The manager come and says I refunded you. I said ok I'd like the proof of that. She gestures to the duplicate receipt in my hand. I said maam I can read. I know you reprinted my sale receipt. She slams the window again. And comes with an override receipt time stamped with right then. Meaning she never refunded me to begin with and was really going to steal my money and lie to me. Taking money without rendering the goods is theft. Fire the WHOLE team. Each and every one was rude. Stupid. And thought they were smarter than me. The person who caught them lying and stealing. My daughters tell me its 15 minutes waiting just to order at drive through, 20 minutes at the pickup. (I texted them because theyd been gone over an hour). Ok. "Covid". Sorry. Short staffed I guess. This Popeyes is very uncoordinated I waited in the drive thru for 20 min with it not moving since no one was taking orders. I had parked and came inside and only to see one person trying to at least help me get my order ready while I saw 3 other coworkers taking a extra long break, after 30 more plus min of waiting inside just to see one employee that was on her break go back behind the line to just get herself some food then clock out, and the other two to just take walk out and have a walk then come back eventually to help out.
