I love this place! I have it with my boyfriend at least once a week. They always have my order fresh and hot. The fries are always hot and never cold. The burgers are perfect size for two people and they have lots of cooler burger options vice versa mcdonald's. the burgers are bigger too! The cowboy burger is a must. I forgot to mention they have a huge selection of milk shakes! Craving a veggie burger and decided to support local rather than visiting one of the "chain burger joints." Were surprised to find them closed on Saturday and open on Sunday - a new development? They had the Sat hours crossed over on their door and had written in that those hours now apply to Sun. Anyhow, we placed a takeout order for Sunday in that case and it was ready right on time. The reason I like to go here is that the food is homemade. However, due to that fact, also, it might affect your body in different ways (oils, butters, beans, etc.). The veggie burger is pretty old school - like back when people had to make their own bean burgers and no one was making frozen premade patties. The onion rings are very good - I really loved that the center of the onion was included and breaded also. That was a nice touch. The fish and chips are pretty "fishy" so keep that in mind - that's a good thing for some folks and it's a very generous portion. They offer "pink" fry sauce which is tasty. As far as ambiance, there isn't really any. The place is pretty bare bones. We'll probably continue to order takeout in the future. read more

Came in earlier today and was slow and I'm very confused why. Service was great and very fast, the food was so fresh and filling. The onion burger and curly fries were so good and he gave us some sauce to go with it that paired very well!! They have a big variety of milkshakes that were also very filling. Walk in and the guy at the counter was sitting in a chair asleep. Food tasted okay, nothing special. Bathroom was discussing I would have rather used a port-a-potty . I was nervous on coming here after reading some really negative reviews - but I'm happy i gave this location a try! Service was swift, i don't need that super friendly service, it would be nice but not necessary. Food was made to order so everything was hot and fresh. I haven't had herfys in years and still, their food was exceptionally yummy! A bit pricey but i for sure think it's worth it. I used to go to a different location that would constantly charge me way over or skimp me of things and overall I'm happy this Renton location doesn't do that. My first time having their food but my husband really likes it so we got some burgers to go. I got the Cowboy burger, fries, and a chocolate mint shake, because why wouldn't you at almost 11 in the morning, and my husband got a few jalapeno burgers and fries. It was $35 total. The shake was thick actually tasted like chocolate mint unlike others where there is no mint flavoring. The cowboy burger was pretty good as it had bacon and everything is good with bacon. My husband likes the jalapeno burger but says there wasn't very many jalapenos on it. The fries are good and crispy but a little greasy. I had the California burger and it was great. Juicy flavorful patty, fresh toppings, tasty sauce, all on a well toasted bun. The fried cod was tasty as well. Been frequenting this place for almost four months. Service for to go meals has been awesome with the longest wait of 7 minutes. Generous portion of fries, and nice large burgers. First time here and the double hefty cheeseburger was quite tasty. Everything is cooked to order so not exactly a fast food joint but the wait wasn't too long. The owner and his two sons are so polite and were quick to remember my order after coming in only a couple of times, I love that. The burgers are awesome and they blow Sonic and Jack in the Box out of the water 100 times over. I don't know if that was the owner that was working the front counter, but when I asked him a question about the menu, he could have answered me but instead he just pointed at the menu above his head. Went in there craving a good burger and fries, and thats exactly what I got. The burger was grilled perfect as was the bacon. It was juicy, tender and fresh. I ordered the waffle fries and they were plump and crispy and fried perfectly. The service was great and the owner was really nice and polite. Gave me an extra free sauce even with a sign stating it will be an extra $0.35 The lobby was very clean and classy. The service was fast and the food was hot. Great place for a classic burger, fries and drink. One thing I love is that they have 3 different choices for fries, waffle fries, regular fries and curly fries. First time at Herfys for me but fiance has been to the one in georgetown multiple times. Well, when we first walked in I noticed there were 3 tables occupied (mind you, place is small) and a empty long kitchen with no staff to greet us. Honestly, the food is only worth 3 stars but because of how that man did business, earned him another star. The oysters came out fried to perfection. It was nicely battered, once you bite into it, it was still juicey and if anything, it caught me on surprise because the juice squirted out the other end burning me a bit! A plus on fiances book is when he (assuming owner?) Gave us 2 tartar sauce when the board clearly states only one, any extra is a fee. For about $10 this week I got a double cheese (HUGE!) plus a side of fries (HUGE!) and a chocolate shake. It was ready in a reasonable amount of time and tasted great! It reminded me of the burgers served by the Corral Drive In located in Long Beach, WA. I have nothing but positivity to radiate about the experience, however, I knock a star off due to affordability and also, the music inside was kind of loud and distracting (Lil' Jeezy/TI/Big Pun kinda stuff) and my co-workers I was eating with tend to be Perry Como/Burle Ives kinda guys. read more

Get any burger on sourdough and you won' regret it. The philly is decent too, but probably not worth the price over what you pay for the burgers. The onion rings are excellent, crispy and hot, but a little over priced for the amount you get. As for the burger patty itself, it's good, not great. This is not the place you go for a gourmet burger experience. If you get the special, you'll probably get out of there for under $10 for lunch. But any kind of upgrade like double patty or onion rings and you are in the $10 - $15 range with a drink and I'm not sure it's that good. read more

I came here today and had their daily special, "the cowboy" burger, an order of fries, and a Butterfinger milkshake. The burger was okay, along with the fries (although, small in portion). The shake on the other hand, was made with spoiled dairy... Additionally, the place is pretty dirty, especially the bathroom. Lastly, on more than one occasion I have made my way over here only to find out that they shutdown shop early, which equates to wasted time and money on my end. The Herfy's in Renton is so dirty. I had to put a napkin on the table just to eat. I didn't even want to throw my trash out cause the trash can was disgusting, had ketchup all over it and it was black. Not sure when the last time this place was actually cleaned. I was so disgusted when we left I had to go clean my hands and face as soon as I got home. I had there lunch special 1/3 cheeseburger and onion rings. Burger was good but the onion rings were extremely greasy and not cooked all the way. My mom had the ham & cheese sandwich and that was just 2 pieces of lunch meat ham and 1 slice of cheese. I can definitely say I will NOT be going back to this one again. I do want to say I've been to others like the one in Kent East Hill and the one in Orting and they are great there.
