This has got to be the worst Popeyes in the whole state. Gone here a multitude of times this past year or two. The drive thru is hard to drive through. It's very hard to hear through the speaker, dire need to be replaced. If I order 5 spicy tenders I can get any of the following: 3 spicy tenders/10 normal tenders/charged for 2 orders of tenders/the wrong drink/the list goes on. The audio for ordering was so poor that, combined with a heavy accent, I could not understand a word he was saying. When I got to the pickup window, it was the same, the man at the window had such a thick accent, I still could not understand him. Changed my whole life when Popeyes came to cville some years ago. It's hard for my family to live in a town without a Popeyes. Wholesome people working here, just wanna serve the best FC and the best Cajun fries. (Pro-tip: get an extra box of fries and it debatably tastes even better reheated in the oven.) Sadly we probably won't be back to this location. We went in at 10:15 and seen the owner locking the doors and assumes they had just closed so before ordering we turned to leave and when leaving seen the door said they were open until 11pm so we stayed and ordered. The menu is confusing to order from and doesn't have everything listed, we wanted mac and cheese as a side (as seen in a picture on the window) but wasn't listed on the menu. We ordered and thankful the lady as the register asked if we would rather make it a $5 meal (also not on the menu; but was on a window sticker outside) she was helpful in ordering and told us that it would be a few and that the chicken would be fresh. After waiting a few, she asked if we would be will to take the spicy chicken instead of mild because it would be a 12 minute wait. We said no and she asked if we would like a wing instead of a thigh, again we said no and she went back to offering the spicy chicken. After saying no so much she made us feel pressured into taking the spicy chicken...it was good but if that's what we wanted we would have ordered it. Upon getting our food the biscuit had a hair in it.... The fries are very good, and so was the chicken but the hair in the biscuit was upsetting; especially after benign haggled into spicy chicken by the front lady. A man who appeared to be the owner that was locking the doors at 10:15 just kinda sat around watching people eat and employees chit chat with one another. We stayed probably 30 minutes and the entire time we were there the back door was propped wide open. They weren't taking trash out because it wasn't until we were leaving a boy mopping asked another employee to take the trash out. All of the trash cans in the dining room were blocked off except for one located in the corner - kinda out of the way. All and all we were pretty discourage with this visit. We found it over all dissatisfying to see the owner locking up at 10:15 and shutting the lights off at 10:50 with people still dinning when they weren't closing until 11. So stopped in here today for lunch. There is a delivery truck parked sideways in the lot blocking traffic. The parking lot is super small anyhow. So I have to wait for the drive through to cycle me past the semi in order to access a parking spot. So after finally getting a spot I walk up to the door to find it is closed. Do the popularity of the chicken sandwich they have chosen to close the lobby. Would have been nice to know before I got out of line to park. Sadly I don't think I'll come to this Popeye's location again. I usually order three times a month because my heart yearns for the fried chicken and the sides of red beans and rice and mashed potatoes and gravy (although my arteries could go without it). I would always get Summer Picnic pack. They would have that yummy, hot fresh, chicken pieces and hot sides in the beginning last year. But every time I come here, my order becomes sadder and sadder. I guess they hired new staff? There's always someone new when I go through the drive thru so maybe? Regardless, the portion sizes of the sides have become smaller, and the chicken has become chewy and old tasting, as if it's been waiting a long time. I was even disgusted the last time because all of the chicken pieces were undercooked, pink, and had bloody veins. It made me lose my appetite. The biscuits don't taste fresh either. And it's alarming because if you're ordering that much food, and there's no one in line, they shouldn't give your food faster than they can swipe your credit card. It's either the food has been waiting all day for the next customer, or those cooks have created a magical fried chicken machine that cooks chicken in 5 seconds and are literally packing the food in containers like wild animals in the back. I'm pretty sure it's the first option. In the end, I guess it's time to part ways and head to the KFC next door although I'll miss the Popeyes chain. I ordered a meal for delivery which stated that it was supposed to arrive at 1:26 pm and waited almost 20 minutes before contacting the store to which I was concerned that I had not received my order and my driver had driven around and returned to Popeyes at this time. It is now 2:30 and I have still not yet received my food. While talking to the " manager" they were extremely rude and inconsiderate of these issues. Manger was very unpleasant and rude. Wanted to substitute my chicken piece from a thigh to a leg(because I don't eat thighs) which was a smaller piece of chicken and he gave me the hardest time. I eat often at fast food restaurants and have eaten at several Popeyes over the years. This one is honestly the worst I have ever ever been to, for that matter this is the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to. I completely agree with the reviewer who stated that if they could give zero stars they would. While trying to order the person taking the order was very rude and told us to just listen while they kept cutting us off while we tried to order. Then proceeded to tell us that items we wanted with our meal was no longer available for that day. This was after having been in line for 45 min in what should have taken 15. During our order we asked for 5 honey mustard sauces having 3 separate orders of chicken tenders and then asked for 3-4 packets of tartar sauce for the order of shrimp that we had. When we got to the window they had BarBQue and Buttermilk Ranch. We again asked for the sauces and was told that for the entire order we could only have 5 sauces and no ketchup. We asked for red beans and rice for a side which we were not even given. When I told them that if they wanted more money so we could at least have enough sauces for our food they said they couldn't do that. Literally they argued with us about our drinks only having given us one of the sodas we ordered and could not even tell us what the drink was. When we finally left we discovered that they had given us all spicy tenders when only one was suppose to be spicing leaving the other two with food that left them feeling sick because of the spice(and this was from the little that they did eat. most got thrown away) The food was almost to room temperature, They said that they had given the sauces when they hadn't and the drinks were not even what was ordered. When I called and asked to speak to a manager whoever it was that answered said she was the manager and started arguing with me about how they couldn't give use any more sauces for the three meals( literally less then two sauces a meal) When i was trying to explain what I was calling about they told me to be quiet so they could tell me what I ordered.
