Made an order on the app. Pulled up to the sign five minutes later the employee said hello and I said I had a mobile order and then for the next five minutes, he continue talking with his headset turned on to a fellow employee, and I asked if I should just pull around and he didn't say anything. So I went ahead and pulled around. And then he came to the window and he said oh what do you need?. My food is what I needed. Guy was paying absolutely no attention to his job and this place is running like an absolute disaster. The employee looked like an Afro'd Jaden Smith after talking Percocet. Guy seemed leaned out on something. Ended up waiting over 15 mins for our food. He had to come to the window and say they didn't have half the chicken in the family meal we purchased after 10 mins of waiting. They then asked if they could use different chicken instead. Seriously, DO NOT WASTE your time or money. First Off I asked for a leg and breast. But I received a thigh and breast. 2nd Off, my red beans and rice had the plastic packaging or whatever piece of plastic that was, cut off/in my food!!! Luckily I didn't put it in my mouth, disgusting... I threw away my entire meal after finding that in the food (lost my appetite). Sadly, I had already ate some of the beans and rice before I discovered it buried beneath! This is one of the worst Popeye's I've ate at. I live in this area (very close), and have had a few bad experiences (over the last couple of years) at this very location, so I definitely speak from EXPERIENCE.. Hixson finally has a Popeyes! While bad for my thighs, great for my taste buds. I chose a chicken meal with red beans and rice (my favorite) and Mac n cheese. I have always loved the flavor of Popeye's red beans & rice and the new store did not disappoint. The chicken was hot and crispy and the Mac was decent. Service was friendly and the drive thru line moved quickly. The only negative is the store isn't set up to take gift cards yet. I was told it would be a month before that was ready to go. read more

No one ever took our order in tbe drive thru after waiting 10 minutes so we went inside and no one took our order there either. They kept saying no one wanted to use some girl's drawer who was MIA & no one wanted to drop the chicken in the frost. Essentially bunch of people standing around not waiting to work. I ordered wings and fries. They told.me to round the corner and wait. 10 minutes goes by and no one came with my order. I had to walk back to the drive through window where I found the person who took my order. By the look on her face she had no recolection of taking my order. When I confronted her she told me wings would be another 5 minute wait. I had to stand at the drive through window to make sure she didnt forget me again. Once my wings were up she moves as absolutely slow motion as she possibly could to retaliate for my complaints. In the end it was a 25 minute wait and me having to be an irrate customer to get my order. If I had been told there were no wings and it would be 25 minutes or more, I would have just gone home and cooked my own dinner. This is the third time I have been treated like this in the last several month. I will NEVER go back to Popeyes ever again. read more

So I have been to this location twice because my kids want to go. Took 45 minutes for our order because the driver was broken the first time we went. I had nowhere to be, so I didn't mind waiting. We all had stomach issues, but my son was sick, so I attributed it to that. I thought maybe we all got a stomach bug at the same time. Just went a few days ago, and my kids were getting their drinks, and I noticed what looked like mold/algae on the drink station where the excess runs off. Then my son looked where the ice comes out of, and there is about 2mm of caked mold in the ice dispenser. Meaning, this has not been cleaned in at least one month. I was a manager of a fast food restaurant while in college, so I know those nozzles are supposed to be removed, DAILY, and cleaned with a specific solution to avoid mold. The fact that there is so much mold visible, makes me wonder what is NOT visible. I won't be going here at all anymore as this is absolutely disgusting. read more

They need a zero rating! I ordered, and paid, for food online. When i went to pick it up, i was informed they no longer offered the pickle sauce and there chicken was still frozen (at 2p). I told them to just cancel my order and refund my money. That's when i was told they did not know how to cancel it and i would have to file a dispute with my bank to get a refund! An hour later, after trying to contact customer support, i received an email (there is no way to talk to a live person, even though i begged x3 to talk to a live person). The email informed me that they cancelled my order and it will take 3-5 days to get my $30 refund! REALLY????? worst customer service and rudeness ever! read more

The food is good, which is why we keep trying. This was our last time. I ordered at the same time as my partner. He was almost finished eating when I finally got my order after waiting at the counter being ignored. Mostly the staff stayed in the back. There was a woman wearing sunglasses that appeared to be the manager - she was the worst. After the little "rush" which was just a few people who waited forever for their food, the employees went outside to smoke. The tables & floors were all filthy. One man had been at the drive thru for so long waiting for his food that he ended up coming in & screaming at the staff, which they ignored. We went to this location when it first opened & were happy with the service, but joked that it would eventually end up like all the other Popeye's in town - closed. I'm done with this particular Popeyes. For the second time, they got my order wrong. We ordered online and I went via the drive thru window to pick up our order. With cars behind me, I didn't want to go through the bag to make sure it had everything I ordered. When I got home, sure enough, I learned that they did not include one of the boxes of chicken I ordered. I didn't have enough to feed the family, so I drove back, went inside, showed them the receipt and told them they forgot to include the chicken I ordered. After waiting a few minutes, someone finally walked over and handed me the box of chicken. No apologies. So, I went home and ate the cold fries that were waiting for me. There are way too many options for chicken to ever go back to this Popeyes in Hixson. So long, Popeyes! read more

My husband and I visited this particular popeyes for the first time. It was our first and last visit. The customer service was extremely terrible. An oversized black female took our order at the drive thru. My husband requested our order be mixed, but we got no response. We got to the pickup window, and my husband was asking if she heard his request, and this extremely rude, unfriendly female tured her back and shut the window. Popeyes, why is it that you managed to employ such a rude, unprofessional person who lacked customer service skills. We will never return ever. You would think that after spending close to $30, we could've gotten top rate service. The chicken was not tasty. It was burnt and extremely hard to eat. I waited 10 minutes before one of the customers seated says "you gotta yell for them". So I did....several times. Finally, several minutes later a female employee shuffles out, not apologizing for the wait, never welcoming me the restaurant, simply saying "what choo want?". After several minutes and my yelling for assistance, the same woman came out and loudly says "WHAT?". They don't care how you get your food, they don't care how much you pay for it, & they don't care about you. Everyone here looks & acts as miserable as they make customers feel. Ordered 2 fish sandwiches, they were cold, like frozen to microwave cold and just gross. They came plain with just pickles.

Terrible, staff was hostile when asked simple question about the menu. Both the floors and the tables were covered in garbage and crumbs.
