I ordered the "Wings and Things - Traditional" and was not informed at the window that there would be a wait for the wings. Instead, I was asked to move to lane three and told it would only be a few minutes. I ended up waiting for nearly 20 minutes before having to pull back up to the window to ask how much longer it would be. When I finally received my food, the container lid wouldn't close properly, and the entire container was sticky. To make matters worse, I wasn't given any napkins. What really pushed this experience into unacceptable territory was what I observed while waiting: two female employees standing by the doors constantly on their phones, pulling them out every few seconds, and handling customers' food in between. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also unsanitary and concerning. I'm not sure what's going on with this location, but tonight's service was a complete failure from start to finish. I pulled into the drive thru and was asked to wait. After about 5 minutes I was able to place my order. I chose to get the Zaxbys chicken sandwich so I could compare it to Chick-fil-a. I have been to several Zaxby locations in Chattanooga area and the Hixson Pike location is the absolute worst. I usually get the boneless wings and things. You would be hard pressed to find any sauce on the boneless wings, they were practically dry, and this was not the first time. Their fried pickels were limp and soggy. They scrimp on every detail of the food leaving a lot to be desired. The very last time I will use this Zaxby's location. So on a good note, the Zaxby's on Gunbarrel has never disappointed. At my arrival there was no line in the drive-thru so I wasn't expecting the attitude I received when I ordered a $50+ order. After our delivery time got delayed twice, our driver called to apologize and say that he had never had service that bad before, and the employees made him make our drinks. This location has struggled in the past with complaints for various reasons. But after a change in the management staff and an attempt to hire a new crew things are getting better. This location still struggles with staffing issues, it seems no one really wants to work these days and of those who do , they are 16-18 yr olds who can only work certain hrs or days when school is in. That being said, they have been more than willing to right any mistakes and go out of the way to reasonably accommodate customers and guests. Their catering Menu is awesome and I love being able to place online orders although online orders aren't available after 9:00 pm. The Zalads are spectacular with an assortment of dressings sure to accommodate anyones palate. These folks have sti got some improvements to be made but as long as they are trying to put the customer first, I'll keep coming back for the best chicken in town thats available everyday of the week, even on Sunday! read more

We selected today for a pick up time of 12:15 and it was after 12:45 before we left. The employees wouldnt make eye contact or acknowledge us. Once they started handing us our orders one lady was real apologetic after the fact but it was still annoying standing there with out a greet. I love their salads. My favorite is the Zensational salad. But they only have that certain times of the year. I love the Ranchero salad too. Fairly low cslories & very good. Their salads are all big. I want to give this zaxbys a good review, I really do. I've been to this one over 10 times and only once has it been hot and fresh. Either the chicken is lukewarm or the fries are soggy, sometimes both. The toast is delicious but sometimes they let it get soggy and bread isn't meant to be like that. The gentleman in the booth behind even called the Customer Care Center at 866.892.9297 to complain about his cold food and extremely slow service. He provided the number to me. Took almost 30 minutes to be served and when I received my Cobb Salad with the grill chicken, the chicken was cold. Thought about complaining to the staff, but did not have another 30 minutes to wait for another salad. Plan on completing their online survey about the same issue, Don't think this is a one time issue. Met a good friend in line they stated that the last time they were here, the wait was long. No different this time. Took her 25 minutes to get a to go order. She came in to avoid the line in the drive through. That was a mistake!
