Chicken juicy buns were toasted pickles crunchy. Coleslaw was fresh and chilled. The strawberry lemonade wasn't overly sweet. The shrimp and fries were also fresh and hot. Went on 5/22/2026 between 4:15pm and 4:30pm. Only downside was we had to a little less than 10 minutes for the sandwiches to be made. I pull up to the drive through and NO cars are waiting behind me so I look to see what deals maybe on the app. The young lady kept asking, may I help you, I told her to hold on. She kept rushing, I said, hold on. Then when I said "hello", she said, you ready now but in a tone as if she's irritated. I then get to the window and she's speaking fast and I'm reaching for my card so I couldn't hear her. I ask her what did you say, she closes the window and call her manager. We are probably the last people on earth to try the famous classic chicken sandwich. We decided to visit the Laurel location on Thursday evening, 3/11/21. There was a long line for the drive through so we went inside to order. It was not crowded. We waited up to 15 minutes for our order, which was accurate. The employee apologized for the delay, but it was understandable. We thought the classic chicken sandwich was large and delicious and very reasonably priced at $3.99. We also had the $10 meal for 2 that came with 6 chicken tenders, 2 sides, and 2 biscuits. The tenders were large, but the sides (cole slaw and mac & cheese) were a bit small to share between 2 people. Next time, we will try the fried chicken, shrimp, and fish sandwich. Tonight I decided I have a taste for Popeyes so I went to my local restaurant to grab dinner for tonight. Upon ordering the person who was taking orders was sooo low speaking I could barely hear him. He asked my sides I said fries for both I then say my drinks he says but what are your sides with a tone so I reply fries for both again. He never says move to the window. I sit at the speaker box for a moment and then just decided let me drive up. I sat at the window at least for two minutes without multiple employees walking back and forth but not a soul takes the time to say hey , we're working on your order or even to take the payment. Then the guy from the soaker box (I'm only assuming based upon his headset) comes to the window speaks and i literally couldn't hear him like he was whispering a secret. I then reply you're gonna have to speak up, he takes the payment. He then comes back hands us the food never asks me what sauce I wanted. I requested my sauces and then he states 1 out of the 2 was not in stock (Mardi Gras mustard) but he walks away so fast I couldn't even provided an alternative. He comes back with the frozen lemonades I ask for my alternative. Get home there's no napkins in the bag nor straws for the frozen drinks. This Popeyes has been around for over 20 years and for the life of me I can't figure out why. If I could give this place negative 1 star I would. Throughout the years I'd visit off and on because it's the closest location to my residence. And a good 5/10 times they either mess my order up completely or forget to give me something. My last experience takes the cake. I ordered the chicken strip meal and you guys know we're still in the middle of pandemic right??? Guess what was in my chicken y'all.... A NAIL. At this point I question if my expectations were too high. Due to COVID I decided to order delivery. I really only wanted the chicken since I already prepared sides but you can only order meals. I ordered the 12 piece meal which came with 2 sides and 6 biscuits. I also ordered 4 apple pies and 2 of their specialty pies (blueberry lemon cheesecake). Delivery was timely. I also appreciated that they stapled they bag. Unfortunately my 2 large mashed potatoes and gravy as well as two of my apple pies were missing. I attempted to call the restaurant but the number on the receipt once I called says there were unavailable to take calls. I don't know about anyone else but when I spend $42 on dinner, I expect all my items. So, I proceeded to follow the contact us link on the app to submit an issue. The response was garbage. I've come to this Popeyes a few times in the past, and each time I have an issue with my order. there have been instances where I've come by and they were completely out of chicken.. which was a shocker, but after the few times I had gone, I wasn't surprised. tonight, we decided on getting Popeyes for dinner (per one of my son's request) and there was a line (like always.) the line was long, but it was moving fairly quick. when I ordered, I noticed that the person taking my order seemed a bit impatient and over my order. I get it, you work in fast food, my dude, but come on. when I got to the window, the lady at the window also lacked customer service and was very short. fast forward, got my food fairly quickly, and I was on my way home. when we got home, I noticed my order was wrong. I had ordered a 5 piece, spicy, tenders with mac and cheese and a sweet tea. I was only given 3 pieces, and my sweet tea was UN-sweetened. I double checked my receipt to make sure my order was taken down correctly. when I noticed it was, and I was given the wrong thing, I called the store back. Erica (the manager) answered and she was more than happy to fix my meal for me. my husband went back to pick up my correct meal and she went above and beyond with correcting my order, as well as giving me more tenders than originally ordered. there was no fuss, or any blame, she understood and took care of the situation. this location definitely needs more guidance from her, and hopefully it can rub off on some of the other team members there. thanks, Erica, for fixing my order! your customer service turned my experience around for me. read more

to this location with a code to receive the survey special and the manager refused to honor coupon. 1 spoke with the manager that refused to tell me her name and we employees did the same to not give me the name of the person who refused service. The policy on the back of the receipt says enjoy two pieces of chicken and a biscuit for free. It does not specify what pieces of chicken that you are going to get. Horrible customer experience. I placed the mobile order 25 minutes before reaching the restaurant. I sat in the drive-thru line for 15 minutes before reaching the speaker. I gave my nane and was told to please pull forward. I then waited another ten minutes in line before reaching the window. The lady at the window said my food still wasn't ready... it had been 50 minutes since I'd ordered. She told me to pull into a parking space and they'd bring my food out. That was 20 minutes ago. Every single person in line behind me got their food at the window. People who walked into the restaurant have ordered, gotten their food, and left. I'm about to be arrested when I go in there screaming. I'm hungry and sitting in a car with a whiny, hungry kid. I normally go to this Popeyes as it is the better location in Laurel. We've had some great encounters with some of the employees (Maurice and Mark) and some not great encounters with employees. Normally the orders are mostly correct, the food is hot, and we get everything we need served with a smile. However on this particular day the young lady working window had a lot of attitude. We asked her if she could add on some fries when we pulled up to the window, there was no one in line behind us and the drive thru isn't particularly busy, but today it was an issue. After going through that she handed the food with a frown and when we asked her for some honey packets she only wanted to give us 3. Even though our order was a family size dinner. It sucks that this one employee dampers this Popeyes performance especially after having some great employees serve us and even more that I can't remember the name of. The problem IS there is no customer service in mind when you don't even put a simple sign on the doors that states that the dining room is closed. You just let customer after customer try and open the door and then yell at your staff member as to why they unlocked the door to let a customer in. I have tried to order food here twice. It did not go well. I chalked the first time up to a rush, seeing as I went at dinner time and after 10mins in the drivetru line I left without placing my order. Today, the second trip, did not result in me successfully placing an order either. The drivethru line moved quickly. I placed my order and when I got to the window I was told I was going to have to wait for my food. That's ok. I could wait. 5 minutes passed. Then 10 minutes. After 15 minutes I went inside. I told the server behind the counter I wanted a refund. She called over the manager. This went it got bad. This manager was rude and offensive. She was belligerent and refused to listen. When I told her what I wanted (a refund because fast food places that make me wait don't get my business) she rudely pointed over to a pan full of what I ordered and said it was right. Well if it was right there why was I waiting? All in all, I love Popeyes but I will NEVER go back to this one. Which sucks because it is by far the closest one to my house. read more
