I do like Popeye's food, however, out of the past 6 or 7 times that I ordered they managed to get my order correct only one time! Being handicapped I order off the internet because I do not drive much so no chance to check the order until it gets to my home. Orders are either missing something or contain wrong items. Several orders were missing the biscuits, other times orders were missing chicken and one time I received Boneless Chicken that was only the breading with no meat! I have told Popeye's about the problems in the past without getting at least a reply with an apology. I am not looking for free food, just the correct items that are ordered. I really think they should at least have employees that can read and understand the English language. When their wings first came out we liked them and I gave a review to reflect that. But we have had them a few times since then. The wings have been getting worse each time. Today was the last time I will ever order them. I ordered online, after I entered my credit card number it showed an error. So I entered it again. My first visit to this location. I placed my order online. When we arrived the food was packaged quickly. As we pulled away, a team member ran out the door with a sandwich in hand. While I agree I should have pulled over and checked the order but I did not. When we arrived back at our hotel (30-minute drive away), we discover they packed 8 pieces of boned chicken not 8 chicken strips. I called the store reported the error. He said I should return to the store with my receipt and show them the error. I asked if I need to bring the chicken explaining the issue was the tenders were for family members who only eat white meet and do not eat chicken off the bone. He said there was no need to bring the chicken pieces. I explained I was 30-minutes away and my family would not be eating chicken (because I would not return with the chicken he chicken until after 7:45 PM). The gentleman repeated the same remedy. When I arrived at the store, I showed home the photo of the chicken pieces packed in error. He boxed the strips and sent me on my way. While I appreciated the willingness to provide us with the chicken strips, I would have appreciated the willingness to refund my money for the strips. I did not appreciate having to waste another hour of time to get a remedy that ended up in the trash with the other chicken pieces the next morning. In addition to receiving the wrong items, the food was subpar. The chicken wings were over cooked, the biscuits and strips (I ate on on my return trip) were dry, and the side containers were halfway filled. Not the best experience, but not the worst. I believe training in customer service would go a long way in improving customer experiences. If we planned to return, I would sure to check my order before leaving the dinning room. read more

I went trough the drive through and ordered a 3 piece combo with Mac n cheese and a 8 peace family meal with only chicken. Also a large Mac n cheese. When I got my food, I started to pull away as I checked the food. I got bone in chicken but I wanted tenders. I sent my boyfriend in to change out the orders, politely, but in return got really bad customer service. They told us they couldn't change them out because it "left the property". Wrong. We never left. We swung around quickly to get our right order. Keep in mind, from the time we got our food to the time my boyfriend walked in, it was less than 2 minutes. If you plan on stopping at Popeyes make sure you download the App before you go. They have some great coupons to use. I got the spicy chicken with the biscuits and they were exactly what I expected. Now I have to say though this Popeyes wasn't the same setup that I expected. They had honey and jam sitting out with plenty for your needs. It was a good experience. Just note that you do have to allow a little patience as they are training a lot of new employees. If you want local jobs you have to allow time for people to learn the job. I'd go back but I'm hoping for a Popeyes closer to Green Bay soon. read more

Extremely disappointed in our visit. My granddaughter ordered a large mac & cheese side, with a lemonade and a piece of Mississippi mud cake. I ordered a sweet tea. We were then informed that they were out of lemonade and out of the Mississippi mud cake. We drive up to pickup the order and were greeted by a very rude lady at the drive-thru window. She hands me a bag with a very tiny container of mac & cheese. I had to ask for a spoon and a napkin. I believe they gave us a small side instead of the large because there is no way the mac & cheese could have been any smaller! This was our first visit to Popeyes. Used the Popeyes app on my phone and ordered 5 Chicken sandwiches for pickup. Doors were locked so I went through the drive thru and was told I can pickup at the window. When I got the the window I was told all the chicken were frozen and it will take an hour before they will be ready. I told them I could not believe that and the worker told me to wait and close the drive through window. Worker came back and said it would be 30 minutes. They were polite and told me they can refund me my money. I chose to wait in the parking lot. I don't live near Manitowoc and I was really looking forward to eating here so I chose to wait. I got my food right at 30 minutes and it was very good. I have been to this location 4 times. The first time they were out of chicken sandwiches and the second time they only accepted cash, which I did not have on me. The other two times I was able to get food. Poor service seems to be the Popeyes way as I have looked at other Popeyes reviews and people have the same issues. Overall, food was very good and hot and workers were very polite. As we are prone to trying new places, we decided to try Popeye's. As this place does not serve fish, we were limited to trying popcorn shrimp. We also tried the mac and cheese and onion rings. Our wait person struggled mightily to take our order; and still didn't get it right. The mac and cheese was acceptable but not outstanding. The onion rings were definitely meh. The downfall was the shrimp. Instead of popcorn they should have been called "pieces of shrimp". Everything is breaded and deep fried in oil that has seen better days. We ordered ahead on the phone because we were trying to load our car on the ferry at 1:00. We spoke with Linda on the phone. She very helpful and polite. When we got there to pick up our food there was only one car ahead of us. It was very fast. Our food was hot and tasty. We ordered the 16 pc combo meal but only received 14 pcs! I don't know if workers don't know how to count, they thought if they gave us 3 breasts it'd make up for the other two missing pieces, or they just thought we wouldn't notice. We only had 2 thighs, 3 breasts, and 4 drumsticks, and the other 5 were wings. What a rip off. Not to mention the biscuits were so dry my daughter who typically loves bread wouldn't even touch them. The mashed potatoes were super watery and it didn't help they put the gravy right in the container with the potatoes. The chicken was sub par but I probably won't go back there. I ate at a Popeyes in Milwaukee and the experience there was about the same. My parents wanted to try this one in Manitowoc but I feel like they haven't improved all these years. Won't go back. KFC is better. Ordered a 4 pcs meal combo and all the chicken pieces were small and mostly breading with very little meat on them. The 4 piece meal consisted of 2 thighs,1leg, and 1 wing. My daughter ordered the 3 piece tender combo with a grand total of $18.80. I'm sure all of the hype is due to the place being new to the area but, it truly is not that good. We have been to Popeyes a handful of times. Each time we go it gets worse and worse. We ordered 16 piece chicken and we were told when we order it would be a 14 minute wait. We pull up to the window we are told it would be 7 minute at 6:57. We sat and waited and at 7:28 we finally received our food. When we got home we open the box and we saw that our box was had mostly wings and chicken legs. We are feeding a family of 5 and have always been able to when we have a good batch of 16 piece chicken. Longest wait ever--was told 7 minutes and ended up being 25+. Weren't even that busy. Then no sauces with our tenders--and they needed it--very very dry. Didn't taste good either. Seemed like tenders were not even breaded or cooked right. looked like they had been dropped on floor, missing the spicy too.
