Today I had the greatest experience at Popeyes, solely because of Liam. Previously, and at multiple locations, I have experienced some of the worst customer service. People ignoring me at the front, being on their phones, zero communication abilities, dirty environment, drink machines not working, feeling like a burden when asking for anything even remotely extra. This all changed today with Liam. He was attentive, kind, personable, easy to talk to, willing to help and so hard working. Not only was he the one to check me out, but I also saw him on the floor cleaning tables. I even saw him clock out and LEAVE....AND STILL cleaning outside! Ordered a family meal. 12 pieces of chicken, 2 large sides and 6 biscuits. Chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease, no red beans in the red beans and rice...dry as the desert. I wanted to get some wings for an early event the next day. I ordered 18 wings online as that is the only way you can get the 18 for $18 deal. Fine, I ordered online and and put in an order ready time for 3:15. Great, half time of the game I was watching I head over to the Midvale store. On the way, a text comes in saying order ready at 3:21--no problem. I arrive at 3:25 and the guy at the counter says they never received my order. After I showed him my receipt he gets the idea to check their computer screen and eventually finds my order. But it didn't go to their little receipt printer. He kept saying they had nothing to do with online app. At this post it was getting frustrating as they hadn't prepared the order and were acting as if it was my fault for trusting the app. As a side note---the email I got for the wing special said that you can get a free side with a $5 dollar purchase. Tried to oder the side of biscuits online but it charged me so I canceled the side and figured I would try and get it at the store. When I brought that up, they again insisted they have nothing to do with the app. It's a Popeyes app from a Popeyes email but the store has nothing to do with it??? They also acted like giving a side of biscuits for their screw up and the add in the email, was some major undertaking. Evidently, that ticked them off because the woman doing the drive-up window, possibly the shift manager, filled my order and squirted at least a 1/2 pint of sauce into the bottom of the bag. She also threw two loosely wrapped biscuits in the bag on top of the boxes of wings--thanks!. She also threw two of the same sauces in the bag. I ordered 3 different ones. One of the orders of 6 wings was so salty it was inedible. The others so dry that they needed all the sauce. Extremely disappointed in the customer service and likewise in the quality of the chicken. All around experience from ordering online, to customer service, to the food was really appalling. Thank you Midvale Popeyes for showing me your true colors. I used to like your spicy chicken. I just ordered an original chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. It is supposed to come with bacon and a slice of havarti. It is about $1.70 more than the regular sandwich. When I got it home, I opened it up and it was a sandwich with bacon and someone just dropped a handful of shredded cheddar cheese on the chicken. I don't know WTF. If you're out of havarti, say so. It was easy and have us a number to tell the cashier in drive thru. The only negative was that I wish I could have ordered items a la carte. Only have me option to order meals. The drive thru was quick & at first they were all over the place but then compensated the wait with some extra items which was very kind. I am very passionate about Chick-fil-A's spicy chicken sandwich so i ordered their spicy sandwich with fries. Their fries were good and they gave quite a bit but nothing special. Then the sandwich. The sandwich did provide more chicken than Chick-fil-A but the taste was disappointing. It didn't taste bad. It was still tasty and not dry at all but compared to chick fil a it was nothing special.
