Let me start off by saying that I have a disability that they were aware of in the past and I never got any indication that me asking for a staff member to take my order to be a problem in the past staff members were very helpful in accommodating me and taking my order..Tonight however I had a humiliating experience..Tonight when I asked for help the cashier at the front gave me the nastiest look and proceeded to ignore my request..after about 10 minutes I asked again to which this same cashier stated that we don't wait on customers if you want your food you will have to get in line like every one else...When I brought up the fact that I got served in the past her response was that I was abusing their business by asking to be served and that my only option was to get in line regardless of how I got served in the past...at that point I left the restaurant and I will never go back....It's a shame that as someone who inspite of the legions of customer complaints against this particular restaurant that I still choose to support this Popeyes only to be disrespected by an ignorant staff member who felt it wasn't her job to accommodate me....It's a shame that as a person with a disability I had to be made to feel that I was a burden and annoyance to this restaurant as opposed to a paying customer and frequent guests...I am making the way I was treated by this staff in general and this woman in particular known so it can be a warning and cautionary tale about not wasting your time going there...Because if they can do this to a person with a disability how would they TREAT YOU!!!!! read more

The service is slow. Absolutely no one is prepared at the mobile order pickup area. The majority of the time when I'm in line for the pickup, the employees will see me standing there and won't say anything abcs continue to do what they were doing. The person taking the orders won't even acknowledge the line. When I'm finally acknowledged and give them my name, on occasions it's not even ready yet. Going there to save ten or so dollars rather than delivery is more of an inconvenience than it should be. Hello, I am highly disappointed in the products (food service) last night (Monday, December 2, 2024, at approximately 830pm) from the Mitchelville, MD store! The chicken was old, dark, and cold, and the fries were soggy upon receipt. When I initially requested the order, the delivery service unfortunately sent me the wrong order. I tried calling the store, and no one answered after four attempts! However, when I could reorder with fewer items, I was sent the requested initial order, which was in very stale condition with a broken box. Oh my God, in the era of ChikFil-a, I don't know how they stay in business putting out this product. Got the ghost pepper wings, and the chicken tender meal, and while the wings were really good (though a couple looked like they came off some baby chickens), the tenders were....how can I put this.....SLIMY. Ordered 24 wings "party bundle" from the Popeyes app....we only got 18 wings......called the local location and they refused to even try to correct the issue. Spoke with someone who stated she was a manager. She said since we had the food delivered, she could not help. We did not get any of the dipping sauces either. First, I want to say thank you to the manager at Popeyes on Central Avenue. I ordered a meal through the Popeyes app and the delivery service switched delivery drivers allowing one to steal my food without delivery leaving the second delivery driver with no food to deliver. I did see the fist delivery person's name and then switched to the second but had not idea what was going on. In any case I was able to work with the manger and I did get my food. The customer service here is AMAZINGGGG!!!!! It was so welcoming I felt like... and this may be a stretch... but like I was at Chick-fil-A!!!! They got my order right and went the extra mile to get all the extra things I wanted in my bag. They definitely stepped it up over the years, and the store was being cleaned while I was in there so I'll include that to, I did see they were busy and people had sat down and made messes but they got right on that after they left. Service at this Popeyes is always horrible. Mostly the women in the drive thru don't want to do their job. I got something simple, 6pc ghost pepper wings a Strawberry biscuit and a large Strawberry Fanta NO ICE. So I get to the window, and there is Ice in my drink. I said Ms I said no ice. She tells me they can't take it back. I said dump the cup and get my drink with no ice. This isn't the first time. They always messing up orders. I asked for a Chicken sandwich. They gave me 2 wings and a biscuit. Then they have a attitude with you for their mistakes. I can go on an on. They just need to close that location down and make sure they don't have the same staff. This was my first time there and regardless of all the bad reviews i read my personal experience (first-timer) there was actually good. This popeyes restaurant is somewhat smaller than other ones i been to but the food was pretty much the same. I tried the chicken sandwiche (the hype) and i was very disappointed how bad it was, personality i won't order it again. The lady who helped me was nice and patient, the staff seemed a lot nicer then some other locations i been to... I attempted to come to this location to pick up a 10 piece box before kick off of the Cowboys-Redskins game and wasted more time waiting for the food than my original drive there. The server was not friendly at all; didn't even ask how my day was. And this is Popeyes........ what real variety do they have outside of chicken, seafood, sides & dry biscuits? It's time for Popeyes to close. Anytime you can spend $30+ for an 8 piece meal with drinks, there's something wrong. Since I cannot close Popeyes, that makes my last visit, despite it being 3 miles from my house. Making matters worse, the chicken was dry and old, so the employees don't care enough to prepare and monitor the primary product they sell at outrageous prices. Know that Prince Georges County stores price gouge; go to Crofton, Annapolis or anywhere outside of PG, and find much lower prices. Do your own research by calling to ask about their specials. Poor service! The manager of African descent was very rude. I asked for a top for my soda and instead of handing it to me he takes the lids all the way over to the beverage station and tells me to go get one. The cashier put the wrong sauce in my bag, I asked for the sauce that I wanted and the manager demanded that I give the wrong sauce back before I could receive the sauce I wanted. This by far is the worst Popeye's in PG county... I don't eat this food. But my father does... So being a good daughter I went to pick him up a fried shrimp meal. There were about 7 people in the store... and 4 of them were waiting on their meals. It took me 15 minutes to place my order... and almost 20 to get my food. The manager was in the kitchen flying chicken yelling at the cashiers to "hurry up, you all slow" (funny to see the manager agree with everyone else). I came in one day during the afternoon hours during a Popeyes rush . The young man that serviced me did an excellent job. I just couldn't help but see how the manager by the name of Abass who stood around and would go back and forth from the front to the back and didn't help out . This is the worst Popeyes around! I have put up with slow service but today confirmed that I will not be eating from this location again. I ordered a two piece spicy white meat chicken dinner. They did not have wings so they gave me 2 chicken breasts. First the chicken: it was dry and tasteless and tasted like old chicken meat. Disgusting. Then they put the chicken on top of the fries so that they were greasy and soggy! This place takes no pride and should not be in business. Gives the Popeyes franchise a bad name. What an awful place. It's very ghetto inside and the customer service is terrible. The lines move at a snails pace. The soda machines run water out of many of them instead of actual soda. This was absolutely ridiculous. We walked in and there was a line of about 5 people in the line, no biggie Popeyes is usually a busy place. We stood waiting in the line for about 25mins, there was one girl working as a cashier and she was SUPER slow. In the back was the manager trying cooking the food. To our left there were about 5 customers that had been waiting for chicken sandwiches for about 10 mins BEFORE we even went inside. There was no spicy chicken at all and no fries, they were behind in making any. There were 3 dry dusty biscuits left sitting on a tray under the warmer. They were clearly under staffed. The communication between the cashier and the manager was ridiculous. The cashier wanted to know where the sandwiches for the waiting customers were and every time she went into the back to find out, the manager yelled at her to get out of there. No communication what so ever. The manager threw sandwiches at the back of the rack, out of the cashiers reach without even letting them know. The cashier had no idea what the manager made and when she asked, the manager yelled at her to walk all the way to the back to look and find out, after yelling at her not to go into the back previously . The restaurant was a mess, paper towels thrown all over the counter, food on the floors in the seating area. Customers were upset and frustrated with the lack of customer service, the employees arguing and the ridiculous wait.
