Seeing the low rating for this Popeyes location I was worried I'd waste my time and money and leave disappointed. But my craving for southern comfort food beat my anxiety, and this was genuinely a great experience! The service was fast as we were the only indoor customers even with just one cashier, but she was very friendly and helpful. They indeed were out of some menu items I'd wanted to try, namely the strawberry biscuit they advertised was back. A fried chicken sandwich would've taken them 30 minutes to fry, so I went ahead and got the classic 2 piece combo and split the sides with my friend. Not only was the chicken still crispy and moist, the sides were all hot and fresh. Popeyes has unbeatably the best fast food fries, and our biscuits and sides hit the spot. The cashier had no problem giving me the sauces I asked for when ordering, though I'm not sure if this changes when in the drive through. In fact, the store had a fully stocked section for cutlery and extras to grab, and I took full advantage with grabbing a few honey packets and "cajun sparkles" (the key to the best fried chicken) and plenty of napkins and cutlery. Despite what other reviewers experienced, the inside was decently clean, well stocked, and we felt like the service was helpful and fast. We did have to repeat our side orders to the employees due to mix ups, and the drink machine on the customer side was broken, but the staff was on it with quickly remedying our orders and getting us our meals and drinks as soon as we asked! Honestly, I think this was one of the better Popeyes locations I've been too by far, not just due to the food being fresh and living up to our cravings, but for the employees being friendly and helpful. All restaurants and especially fast food places deal with short staff, long lines, and problems we don't see as the customer. Sometimes the negative association of having a bad experience at places like Popeyes and Waffle Houses makes me avoid going, but it makes me even more satisfied when it ends up being worth it, and the service is the opposite of rude or uncaring. My friend and I placed our orders inside, paid $25 total, and within 10 minutes were sitting in a booth with our huge tray. We couldn't finish it all even as hungry as we were, and we left full and super satisfied at getting to indulge in our craving for our staple comfort foods that were actually worth the food coma after! read more

I stop by every couple of weeks, hoping things might improve, but the experience remains the same -- or worse. They're often out of key menu items, chronically understaffed, and frequently direct customers to come inside because the drive-thru isn't functioning properly. On top of that, the air conditioning hasn't been working, making the inside feel unbearable. This level of mismanagement is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the brand as a whole. read more

This was my 3rd time coming to this location and the 1st time going in. The food is great, as good as any Popeyes I've been to. I got the chicken strips and red beans & rice, very good and done right. I counted about 13 employees working there. They only had 1 person working the register and I stood in line 30 minutes while half of the 13 stood around watching others work. There was trash all over the floors and table, the managers didn't have anyone cleaning up the 45 minutes I spent there. One employee was walking around the seating area on the phone having it out with her boyfriend for about 20 minutes just as loud as she could. They are still pretty new but as a manager myself, I know when I see a poorly managed business. As loved as Popeyes is, they will lose customers at this location until they can get the right staff in place. I really hope I get the chance to write a better review but 2 stars for now read more

I am all for hiring mentally handicapped people, but this location should have an IQ test done at the interview. I was feeling a little hungry, and I decided on Popeyes because I wanted a large Cajun fry. Out of the kindness of my heart, I offer to buy some stuff for two of my family members. It was late and I was already in my pajamas, so I didn't want to go out to pick up the food so I decided to DoorDash it. When the food finally delivered, I open it to find that the coleslaw was replaced with mashed potatoes, and usually they consult the buyer if they is an out of stock item, but they didn't. I dig more into the bag to find that the only reason why I wanted to get Popeyes, their fries, wasn't in the bag. Annoyed, I contacted DoorDash and received a refund for the missing items. I was obviously still hungry so I decided to give Popeyes a second chance. I go back onto the DoorDash app and place my order for just one large cajun fry. After 40 minutes, my order was finally delivered. I grabbed my food, sat down, and opened it. the second I opened the box I am greeted with not Cajun fries, but a kids chicken finger meal With a side of mashed potatoes and a biscuit. At this point, I'm tired, furious, and still hungry for some fucking Cajun fries. I check my receipt, and of course, the only thing on the receipt is one large Cajun fry. I get it. Some people are tired at the end of a long workday and just want to go home, but no one held a gun to the employees heads and made them apply for this job. The app lets you order, when you get there, the restaurant is closed , the hours listed are wrong, there are always employees park outside by their cars telling that they are close, there is no food and they don't care if you ordered on the app, they are not giving you money back to get the app to do that. I don't normally post bad reviews but after waiting in the drive through for 50 minutes, I finally got to the window. Then proceeded to wait while employees were cutting up and hollering. The girl making the drinks for the drive through was rubbing the cup rims against her shirt after wiping the outside of the drive through window down with a cloth that she then used to wipe the drink machine with the same cloth. Completely unsanitary! When i finally got my meal, I drove off. My chicken wasn't spicy like i had ordered and my drink was obviously setting in the drive through window in the sun for as long as I waited in line. It was so watered down . Looking to give this location 5 stars. We ate at the new Moody, AL store within the past few days and our food was excellent. Breading was very krispy and not greasy. I got the spicy sandwich combo and my spouse got a 3 piece chicken finger combo. She also got red beans and rice and I got a cinnamon apple pie. We went just before noon and it was easy getting in and out despite lunchtime traffic. They slowed down a little while we were there and rather than just sitting on their hands or checking their phones, the manager came around to see if everything was OK at each inside diner's table, and the staff caught up on replenishing food items and cleaning. The reason for the lack of a 5th star is that the floors were slippery. I've worked in fast food before, and when you clean, it's especially important to NOT mop the front of house floors with the same water or gear that you use in the kitchen area. Frankly, I bet the back of house staff would appreciate a floor that isn't greasy and slippery either. Hot water and a degreasing agent are a must. Like I said, I'm looking to give this place a strong 5 star rating. A quick and easy fix is all that stands in the way. read more
