Its on the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and Lockwood Drive . This is Called The White Oak Popeyes . They have a good sized parking area. But it needs Repaving . Their doors had ads on them and Restaurant Schedules . As you walk in you see the a huge dining area on the right near yhe end of the srore near the cashier Barista area they have the Srlf help sida machines and condiments area . At the end of the store there's rhe huge Barista Cashier area where yoy do your food orders . Above the cashier barista ,They have have their menus to see what yhey have of your favorite foods they sell . My favorite was The Surf and Turf , I love the popcorn shrimp, I love their spicy Chicken. Its what their famous for . Their seafood platters are ack too . Behind the cashier barista lies a somewhat open concept kitchen where they perform their magic to make your best foods you could ever want or ever find anywhere else. I recently applied to the place online on her websites and indeed.com . I turned in my resume . I want the job there as a cashier because I like customer service customer relations and interactions. I want to make pepple feel welcomed, At Home , And feel like family , To become Ling Term Patrons . I want a jib where I wont be Feared , Judged and Used Bad Politics against. Tis is a good place fir family gathers have something to eat and have a good time. I hope management gives me a chance for jobs there someday . Its been a long times since ive been back since the pandemic. What happened during the Covid Pandemic the behaviors were unjustifiable Reprehensible unlawful and inexcusable , And down right wrong . There were about five or six parking spaces outside, but almost every space had about a fifth of its front covered in snow. It's rare to see a fast food restaurant that hadn't cleared the snow even three weeks after it started snowing. The brand new Popeye's in the Briggs Chaney Plaza was a spot I was looking forward to -- even if my waistline wasn't. It's been open for 2-3 days so far, and I'm hoping that in a few weeks, I'll be able to update this review to something a little more positive, but ... they are desperately trying to get their act together, and they're just not there yet. The restaurant has a rather unique novelty to it -- a walk-up window, which acts like a drive through. Its so new I don't think anyone knew what it was for, and most everyone walked past it, into the restaurant (while I was waiting, a few people did try it out). It seems like a good concept, but we'll see. The restaurant is clean and nice, but it's been there for three days, what do you expect? A few big problem areas I saw: Virtually the entire staff was not wearing their masks properly. The counter was staffed by the Manager, who was wearing her mask around her chin. Literally, her nose, upper lip, and half her lower lip were visible. This was the Manager. Obviously, with this example being set for the rest of the other staff, most of them had their noses out, at the very least. We're still in a pandemic folks, and Delta -- and Mu -- are really bad. Plus, blunt honesty here, I see the staff visibly cutting hygiene corners at the front counter, you gotta wonder about what other health and safety things are being skipped where they're less visible. They have two lines, and people were initially queued up in a single line, splitting as the registers opened. The manager shouted, "I have two lines, use both lines, please!" at which point we were split into two full queues. I went to the other one. The second line was manned by a cashier who vanished after taking a couple of orders, I don't know where to. She was replaced after a minute or so by another. This one took an order, then turned to assemble it, never to return. After another couple minutes, someone came over and started helping the manager move her (by now very long) line faster, ignoring the people who were waiting in the second line. I walked out at this point. If you're going to have two lines, you have to treat them both fairly and evenly. You can't have one line that moves 5x faster, and one line that is essentially ignored. Not cool. I was there for about 15-minutes or so, and part of the reason it was moving so slowly were the number of messed up orders. Between every order placed, someone came up to the counter because they were missing an item, or had something wrong, or were given the wrong sized drink, etc. The manager also seemed to be unfamiliar with the menu, and argued with a customer about his order at one point. He ordered the 8-piece family meal, and she tried to give him an 8-piece nugget, and went back and forth, with her glancing up at the menu behind her before she figured it out. After I left, the District(?) manager popped out to talk to me at the car. He was very polite, asked me what I thought was wrong, etc. So, he gets a star. They've only been here for three days, and I know they've got a lot to figure out. Everyone and everything is new. I hope they'll get the act together. I was looking forward to a Popeyes in the neighbourhood! Right now, I'd check out the other locations or a different restaurant until they iron out the bugs. read more

I came here today and was hopping it would be better, The person who helped is totally unprofessional, didn't even say hi or asked me if i want to order, he was looking at me like I need to greet him. I had to step up and say hi can i order, he was not rude but rather unprofessional, better than 'roque' who is a very very very terrible front person with terrible attitude. So after I ordered and paid when i got home there was no catchup :( I didnt have any at home and they didnt include any. Even though I asked him to include some. I feel very disappointed Every time i come to this location even though the restaurant is very nice and clean the staff are rude (roque) and always missing something... The one thing you can count on at Popeye's is consistently good chicken. Not sure how they do it, but the skin is so crispy and delicious. We enjoyed the special offered for $5.00 for 4 chicken tenders and $5.00 for 4 pieces of chicken (breast, leg, thigh and wing). The staff here is always welcoming and pleasant. I agree with Emily and Ina that the location is the biggest problem with this restaurant. The parking lot can be a challenge, but I generally park alongside the building on the left of the driveway to the rear. There always seems to be a space, and the exit back to the road is made easier by simply continuing to the rear, making a left in the office park, then another left back to an easy left turn onto Lockwood. As for the food? Typical Popeye's, but yes, the service can be slow. It seems the counter-person always has to run into the back for some unknown reason, leaving everyone just waiting in line. read more

This is your conventional Popeyes chain restaurant. It is located in White Oak next to the 7/11. The place overall is decent and fairly clean from the many times that I've gone. Many times there is a line and the wait can get incredibly long. I've never had a problem with that staff and they're typically fairly accommodating. Now, the chicken itself is very good, it is well seasoned and does not have too much salt. Be sure to ask for variety as the chicken breasts are the largest pieces. The biscuit is always hot and moist. The sauces are delicious, my favorite is Mardi Gras Mustard and Blackened Ranch. They recently started a policy where they charge for sauce which is ridiculous. Overall, if you're in the mood for fried chicken, this is definitely one of the Popeyes stores I recommend. read more

How hard is it? huh! How hard. It's not rocket science. It's not brain surgery. It's not physics or calculus or any other tough high level math. What is it...... it's frying up some chicken and moving people along in line... now how hard is that? A trained dog could do this job with ease so why is there all these problems with this place. This location of Popeye's is a step below others, though not because the product is any different. It's the little things that make a Popeye's experience reach its full potential...and these are the little things that this location just doesn't really have. Little thing #1: quick service. The employees here are rather slloooww. I was behind one person in line, yet I had to wait about 5 minutes for the person behind the counter to get a #2 combo together. Little thing #2: convenient parking. The parking lot in front of the store has 8 spots, two of which are smaller than the others because of a brick wall, which brings it down to 6 spots. There's another random lot behind the store, but there are few things in Silver Spring that are sketchier than this little area. Little thing #3: convenient location. I just spent 5 minutes trying to describe the illegal U-turn you have to make to get onto the main road because of a completely unnecessary median...but I think it's enough to say that this location is not very convenient. Little thing #4: missing sporks (Jason C. says spork...I still think it's sfork. ??) Whenever I come here to fulfill my monthly Popeye's craving (hmm...), they always forget something about my order. Boooo, this Popeye's is somewhat pitiful, and my experience was not so different from Ina K's description. I was looking to get in and out quickly, but that is not really possible at this location. I very rarely pick up fast food, but was hoping to head to the drive-thru window if there wasn't a line. Well, I suggest you don't bother since there is no drive-thru window! After I turned around in the business park behind the Popeye's, I headed back for a space in the front. This condensed parking lot gives little room to maneuver, making it hard for vehicles to pull in and out. The location of this Popeye's is also rather inconvenient. Besides having to turn on Lockwood and get off of the main road (New Hampshire Ave.), leaving the parking lot is a major hassle. You cannot make a left-hand turn to return to New Hampshire. I think though if you make a right-hand turn, it will eventually come out a little bit north on New Hampshire. Hmm maybe I should have tried that... Anyhow, no complaints about the food. It didn't taste any different from other Popeye's I've had. Service as well was fine and I didn't have to wait long at all for the food. read more

Dishonest restaurant often substitutes items without notifying customer - for example they provided a chicken thigh and a wing when they were two tenders short on a lady's order.
