This is a very traditional Popeyes. The people who work here are very nice. The place is kept relatively clean. It could be better but it is a high traffic, fast food place. There's soap in the restrooms. I simply will not dine in a filthy place. This passes as acceptable. The food always arrives hot. They got interesting specials posted. For example, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays you can get a two-piece combo, white or dark, regular or spicy, a side and a drink for $4.59. Pretty hard to beat. They are playing genuine Louisiana Zydeco music. Pretty darned authentic. (I worked in Louisiana for a while so I know that wonderful culture). Come get it here. Recommended side: Red Beans and Rice. I have been in the drive thru line for more than 30 minutes here, and there are still 3 cars in front of me, and unfortunately no way to get out of the line and leave. I can't imagine what in the hell could be the reason it is taking so long for each order, it's not like they have a lobby full of people with multiple orders at the same time. I don't generally have great things to say about fast food, Popeye's chicken is a guilty pleasure. This particular location itself is dingy, half of the seating area apparently deemed unnecessary-it was devoid of any seating in half the building. The restrooms were not used, since the dining area looked poor. In-house trash bins were full to nearly overflow. The food however, was GOOD, for a Popeye's. The chicken wings were presented freshly fried, the cole slaw also fresh and not separated, and the biscuit salty with a dash of the names sake spice. The counter staff were friendly and were prompt preparing my order. Perhaps a responsible manager on duty during *dinner rush* from 4-6 pm on Saturday could police the cleanliness. So today I came by after work and upon arrival I was impressed with the restaurant limiting how many people were allowed in the store. It's great to see that someone is taking this pandemic seriously. The staff were extremely nice and the manager was extremely friendly and made sure to come check on those who were in the store. Food was made quickly and they made sure they double checked my bag before they handed me my meal. 10/10 would recommend, definitely the best in the area! Keep it up guys! read more

I ordered a Two piece Chicken Meal with a Side. The chicken was dryed out and hard and the Red Beans had Rice were very very dry and taste weird I ate one scoop. Ordered the chicken tender combo which comes with 3 tenders, biscuit, side, and drink for a grand total of $9.21 with tax, which I think is a lot. There are no smaller portions of chicken tenders available. I mixed my order, two mild and one blackened. My side was rice and beans. The mild tenders do have a crunchy coating and though they are mild, they still have kick. If you cannot tolerate any spice at all, you should eat elsewhere. The blackened tender was better to me, even though it too has kick, but I don't mind kick anyway. Overall I though both types were a tad salty for my taste though not as salty inedible as I once had from KFC up the street. The rice and beans are good but I think their recipe adds liquid smoke into the sauce?? I love Dominican rice and beans so I was not crazy about the smoke flavor. They were still good though, beans tender. The biscuit was great, even though the Cajun music they had playing was a bit hokey, lol. Got my grub on here last night. The restaurant was pretty clean for the most part, the people were very nice, and the food was fresh. There is plenty of parking outside but one thing to note is the restaurant is located on a street that has a divider in the middle so you can only enter from one side of the street. This main road was very poorly designed and resembles a NJ road. Another thing to note is, If you go to Popeye's main website, you can print out coupons for this location. This is a very nice place, very clean, and the staff is always friendly . Sometimes you may have to wait for a larger order because they do not let the chicken sit around for long periods of time but it is well worth the wait. The issue I have with them they are not consistent, there have been times when I have had dynamite chicken and other days (about 3 days ago) where the chicken has no flavor or not fried well. I love this restaurant. Great fried chicken in either spicy or mild. Friendly staff. They always have a special going for the thrifty customers. Every time I have eaten there, the chicken has been fresh and hot. They have a drive-thru. They have good selection of side dishes. The red beans and rice is my favorite. I had a large order on one visit and had to wait 10 minutes for more chicken to be made. I was told by the manager, that in the future if I have a large order, I can call ahead and they will have chicken made for you so you don't have to wait. read more

I would love to give this place a five star rating but the atmosphere in here is so bad. I had to deduct two stars. I do want to say that I have never seen them yell at a customer. But they do yell at each other. The tension in the air is so thick it overshadows the food. Managers make you feel bad for the employees as they scream at them in front of us.
