I stopped by here to try the onion rings because Popeye's doesn't offer them where I live. They had me waiting for a few minutes, so I thought they were making them fresh. When I got them, they weren't hot and they weren't crispy. In fact, they were pretty flavorless. Meh. I usually love Popeyes..just not this location. ordered a 3 piece spicy chicken finger combo with Rice and Beans, Buffalo Bayou dipping sauce. Was presented my order...didn't get cup for drink. Was given it when it was pointed out. Got to my table..didn't get dipping sauce...back up to the counter. Rice and Beans were totally inedible..the beans were dried out and the rice was cold. So, I don't say this lightly, and I don't usually post reviews, but I am fairly certain that my son and I got Salmonella poisoning from chicken ordered from this location on Fri. Nov 17, 2023 around 4:30 - 5pm. There's really nothing else that could have caused it as we had not eaten together for several days before this and he got sick that evening. I don't know if you have ever had Salmonella poisoning, but I can assure you that it's not worth it no matter how much you like Popeye's chicken. Avoid at all costs. being one of the first places after crossing the border back into Canada, popeye's was a great option, and it was the right choice. the food was hot and fresh, the service was great as well. my only issue was that when we came to this location they had to open the door because something was smoking from the kitchen, it was great for a laugh because nothing was seriously wrong. if you are in the area, come and give them a shot! really great chicken that everyone should experience. read more

Lee and I have a weakness for Popeye's Chicken. It's generally the best quality fast food chicken out there, particularly when you're in Canada. So, we'd just crossed over the bridge into Windsor, and we spied this place along the main drag. We agreed that this was probably the easiest place to grab lunch while we were in the area, before the long drive back to Toronto. So in we went. It's pretty spacious and clean, with a lot of tables and a few booths. We placed our order and waited for it to come up. It did after a few minutes and we were on our way to greasy chicken goodness. These guys opened with a bang with so many waiting in line... customer service is horrible in spite of too many staff in that place. Whoever is managing this place has no clue of what is going on. Normally I like Popeyes. It's a great alternative to KFC and I typically like their chicken more. I went there a few nights ago around 7p and it was pretty busy. Took several minutes to even get my order taken. I overheard them saying spicy chicken was a 4 min wait before my order was taken. When it came time for me to order I was told the spicy chicken was a 7-8min wait. I then ordered white meat and was asked if I wanted a rib piece. I was confused as I have never heard of that before. Leg, wing, thigh and breast.....sure. But not rib. So I couldn't even get the white meat I wanted. All in all not the greatest experience. read more

This has to be the worst Popeyes I have ever been to, I sat in drive thru for 25 mins tonight, just to get to the window and have them tell me they didn't have my order on screen so I was SOL. I said well you need to give me something, sorry all fryer are off so no can't help you. I see lots of pieces of chicken on rack, but they said they were spoken for. The worst customer service EVER. drive thru oder taker misses items completely even when they repeat it, says WHAT when they don't listen to your order because social hour is more important, doesn't give you large size coleslaw when your charged for it, missing sauces, onion rings were cold and falling apart with only 4 in a combo?? The drive thru also has kept the 3.75 $ change as "tops" without even attempting to return my change!! I've given this location 5 separate chances. Good chicken overall, but this place has let me down a dozen times. They often bungle our orders, missing whole items. The wait time is also often over 20 minutes for a simple combo. This is the only location I experience this at, but it's consistent. Totally mismanaged, poor service. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I normally LOVE Popeyes fried chicken, but one night last weekend I wasted something, and the girlfriend went and got me 2 two piece white meat and 2 sides. The chicken tasted like it had sat in a warmer way too long, and it was as juicy as a cornflake. Disgusting. I will never eat there again.. their service is terrible, but the chicken usually makes up for it. Not this time. I would rather make a run over the border, or just wait until the next time I go,to London for chicken. Hands down thee worst Popeye's I have ever had the pleasure in dining at. I really like Popeye's and have tired on 3 separate occasions to like this location and each time they've failed me. Fires have been consistently cold and wet noodle like, just like my ex ! I'm certain they don't know the difference between Spivey and mild chicken as each time I've order one variant I've gotten the opposite.
