Went here for the first time today (not from here). Clean and welcoming environment. I ordered the bleu cheese and jalapeño burger, my burger came out more pink than I had wanted. Our waitress was very apologetic and had a new one made for me right away no questions asked! The cook felt bad and personally came out to deliver the burger plus apologize. I felt comfortable with letting them know I wasn't happy with the initial burger and they were so happy to help me! My only complaint is that dinners aren't served until 4 and that's what I really wanted but got here an hour too early. Just a click up the road from my storage unit, set on a large corner lot was the Burger and Pancake House - of which I took part in neither. I had just been talking to a friend about the end of the Diner era in New York City - quite a sad occurrence. So the timing to drive up upon B&P House couldn't have been much better. The plastic covered ledger sized menus felt good in my hands, familiar with the off manilla coffee mugs, butter and jams in the matching tiny saucer. I was at a Diner in my mind, the booths, tables, hanging lantern lighting. Beef Fried Steak - a favorite of mine - I toyed with the idea of pancakes but couldn't contain myself not having ordered it in my 8 months in Florida so now was the time. I messed up because it came with pancakes and homefries, I wanted to sub the homefries for grits and get the pancakes but I guess our (the sweet waitress and I) signals got crossed. Marble rye! Came to the burger pancake house because they served breakfast all day. Traveler with New Yorkers. I got the pancakes and bacon which were pretty delicious and huge. My crew got the biscuits and gravy which said were good but what wasn't good was the unseasoned bagel sandwiches and steak. They forgot to put mushrooms on the sandwich and the service was extremely slow. We shouldn't be waiting 30 minutes each time the waiter comes to the table it took forever to get our food and to leave. Maybe go to ihop for your fill. read more
