Where do I even begin. Tacos were extremely unseasoned and dry. Had to take a sip of water after every bite. The drinks were extremely strong. I believe this establishment should be using jiggers. Food took 30 minutes to come out, and like I said before, drier taco than my wife after she sees my golf drive. The manager, I think her name was Barb or something, seemed to extremely incompetent. I'm not sure if she is developing some sort of mental disorder, but I genuinely felt bad. As for now, I will not be returning until Barb gets the help she needs and the tacos are properly seasoned. "IF ONLY" - I had read Chris D's review I could have spared myself. Ordered a steak burrito, a steak bowl and queso / chips. Steak was how should I say "Gross"!!! Queso, watered down and almost flavorless. Chris' experience was also my experience - lesson learned listen to your fellow diners and save yourself the money and poor experience. BTW - Chris D. Wow, all I can say is I have never had so much garlic aïoli on any food in my entire life. Including Pollo tropical. There was so much garlic my mouth burned from it. So it's the next day and I have the biggest stomach ache.. I might try fuzzies again, but I'll definitely skip the garlic aïoli sauce. It was literally poured onto my soft tacos and overpowered the flavor of everything else. What a shame. I also don't like the tipping policy because I have to tip in order to pick up my own food. No one waited on me, I had to walk up and order my own food. but it still cost 6 Bucks to walk over and pick it up. Then I had to bust my own table when I was finished. (There was no service I could have punched in the order in the computer myself I guess..)They need to rethink their business plan. read more

First time here because I love all food with the word taco in it. We were on a road trip so this was a quick stop. You stand in line and then get your food. I was surprised at all the bashing of the owner. I found him very engaging and helpful. We had a total of six tacos and chips. The tortillas were fresh and the tacos were quite good. I will say the quantity of garlic sauce on the steak taco was overwhelming. Wouldn't get that one again. Brisket taco was the favorite. We love the food and the atmosphere and we are very much regulars, meaning we eat in Fuzzy's weekly. Today's trip looked much different. The curly headed blonde with her hair in a ponytail just decided she absolutely did not want to serve us at the "order here" counter --she was rude and walked away --no words and it was apparent by the way she looked at us up and down in an unwelcoming way--and asked the bartender who was extremely busy to come and take our order. I mean today is the last day and hour of the masters --but whatever!! She then stood behind the counter on her phone while glaring and starring at my family the entire time. Very UnComfortable. We went in to watch the end of the masters and the overall experience was not a good one at all. The door to an establishment is EVERYTHING--having the wrong people there can definitely do damage to your regular patronage. I can only hope that someone in your management will have a grown-up conversation and let this young lady know that behavior is very unbecoming, and unacceptable in today's society. Working back close to Fuzzy's and had a vendor drop by I knew. Wanted to take me to a local "sports place" he loved. Wouldn't you know, he pulls into Fuzzy's. When I worked nearby Fuzzy's was our every Friday lunch and I was addicted to the salad and if you ask, you can get pulled brisket on it. And the avocado ranch is killer, too. Sat at the bar, had one beer, the bartender didn't even acknowledge me after bringing my beer, never asked me if I wanted to order food, never offered the menu paid. Enjoyed coming here for years. The Bartenders have been attentive and the food is decent. Nothing great, but a value and overall enjoyable time. However, the last several months we felt uncomfortable because this location has many "regulars". They can be loud and obnoxious and feel you "took their assigned seating". The last few times we arrived and the Bar was full. Cool! Great for the Owner, but not really... the Regulars reserve seats with their phone, various trinkets or tilt a seat for others not coming until way later and/or they disappear all while nursing a single $3 Draft for hours. So my Wife and I and many other nice couples we met who order apps, meals and multiple drinks will go elsewhere. Also, I understand an establishment can't control the conversation of its patrons, but it is just plain bad business to condone politics and hate speech. So apparently this place is hopping with the various new apartment complexes literally across the street. I went in this evening and someone had a Rottweiler inside the restaurant next to patrons while ordering. No support presentation on pet. When I got to the employee I asked if he knew there was a dog inside and the guy said no he didn't " see it". Hum Then as I received my to go order, that dog leaves and another large dog arrives. I'm confused why patrons are bringing pets inside when ordering when this restaurant has outside seating and a window they could use for such customers. read more

Fuzzy's Taco Shop has expanded quite a bit and on a recent trip to Sarasota, I ended up here to grab a quick lunch. Fuzzy's Taco Shop started out in 2003 in Fort Worth, Texas. It established itself near a college and its target audience was the people who attended that college, though I am sure that the faculty walked through the doors of Fuzzy's Taco Shop more than once or twice. The ambiance here is more of a bar than a Mexican restaurant. The food is also not the most authentic, though the portions and prices are not bad. The service was pretty good, as well. If you are looking for a place to grab a drink, this is not a bad place. If you are looking for a Mexican meal (and care about authenticity), Fuzzy's Taco Shop might not be the place for you. As an overall grade, I am going to give it three stars. read more

We literally come here 3-4 times a month. The best margaritas with so many flavors , huge servings , easy going staff and a good sports bar vibe. Mexican is more modern classic and so good. We have never had a bad meal here! We chose this over so many "fancy" Mexican places near us. read more

This was probably the best food we had on our vacation! We spent the day at the Sarasota jungle which is amazing then ate lunch here. It's got a very laid back vibe with outside bar seating, Ozzy Osbourne playing, and games around the perimeter. When they first opened they may have been understaffed and I couldn't really get served outside at the counter. Since then my wife and her friend come here weekly and love it. Food quality wasn't great (pretty bland and quality felt on par with Taco Bell), but it's hard to beat the value of getting a heaping plate of tacos for about $10. I think it would be fun to come watch a sports event and drink some of the massive margaritas here, but if you are craving a really good taco maybe try elsewhere. Once again this place amazed me to no end. I had not been there for a while. I walk in and sit just to the right of the opening to get behind the bar. There is a stool there and I've sat there before. The little bartender said "this isn't a seat" I looked down at the stool I was sitting in, look at her and she's says " there is a seat there but it isn't a seat" I walked out. I guarantee that if I went back, there is someone sitting there. This place is a joke. To the management/ownership. If you don't want anyone sitting there. Take the f$&@ing stool away and put something there that indicates that it isn't a seat. read more
